Kagome's POV

In the morning, I woke up by the sounds of the birds chirping. As I stretched myself, I felt something fluffy wrapped around me. It was Lord Sesshomaru's mokomoko sama if I recall. I kinda blushed. He wrapped this up to prevent me from cold! I guess he's not as heartless as he looks.

I walked up to Lord Sesshomaru who was sitting under an oak tree. I returned the mokomoko-sama and said, "Thank you".
He didn't seem like listening. So I sighed a went to Rin.

Rin was running around trying to catch a red butterfly. She ran to towards me and asked, "are you fine, Lady Kagome? You were screaming in your sleep last night!"

"Did I? Must be cause of a nightmare. Sorry for making you worry. I'm fine."

She smiled bright. Her smile really cheered me up. She had such a sweet smile. Not to mention her sweet nature.

"Um...I'm a little hungry, Lady Kagome." Her stomach growled and I chuckled slightly.

"Let's go find something to eat."

We got many berries from the forest and I handed them to Rin so that she could give them to Lord Sesshomaru and Jaken.

Rin was running towards Jaken. Thats when I sensed a jewel shard and a familiar aura. There was no doubt. Naraku was around.

Sesshomaru stood behind me as we saw Naraku appearing before us. I searched for my bow and arrows. But realised that I had no arrows at the moment.

Lord Sesshomaru walked past me.
"What do you want , Naraku?" He said coldly.

"Sesshomaru, I just want the priestess. You can keep your nose out of it."

"Go away, Naraku." He said calmly.

"Do you intend to save the priestess, Sesshomaru? Have you gone soft on humans?"

"Lord Sesshomaru, that's a puppet." I said.
Naraku striked to attack me. But before he hit me, I saw Sesshomaru drawing out Tokijin and he slashed Naraku's puppet at once.

I took the jewel shard and looked up to Sesshomaru.
"Return to the half-breed, priestess." Sesshomaru ordered at me with a cold glare.

"I can't. Please don't tell me to go back to InuYasha." I said, trying my very best not to cry.

"Can you let me travel with me for a while? You are looking for Naraku, right? I can help!"

"Please let her travel with us, Lord Sesshomaru." I heard Rin pleading.

He growled in a very low voice and then silently nodded.

"Thank you." I said to him.

"Yay!!! Now I have someone else to play with and talk with me." Rin giggled and hugged me.

As I patted Rin's head, I said to Sesshomaru, "Can I go bring my things and some necessary supplies?"

He nodded and walked away.

"Take the dragon with you." He said.

With Ah-Un, I headed to Kaede's. First, I made sure that InuYasha and Kikyo were not around, I didn't want to see any of them.

I hid Ah-Un in the forest and headed to Kaede's hut.

As I peeked inside and saw that no one except Kaede was around.

"Where were you, Kagome? Everyone is looking for you."

I grabbed my bagpack and said, "I'm heading home, Kaede. Tell everyone that I won't be back for a while."

And then I ran away before she could ask anymore question.

I reached Ah-Un and went inside the bone-eaters well, telling him to wait in the bushes.

Sango's POV,

"I wonder where Kagome is. She didn't come back yet. I'm worried for her." I sighed as we were heading to Kaede's hut after searching for Kagome. Anyway, we didn't find her.

"It's all InuYasha's fault." Miroku said.

"What! How is it my fault ?! I don't know where she disappeared!" Inuyasha was of course pissed off.

"Shut up, Inuyasha! You are as dumb as ever." I said with anger. Inuyasha was seriously getting on my nerves now.

Miroku said, "I'm sure that Kagome saw you with Kikyo."

"I don't think that's all. InuYasha, what did you say to Kikyo?" I narrowed my eyes.

"Yeah! What did you exactly say? I think Kagome heard your conversation with Kikyo." Miroku said.

InuYasha said, "That's none of your business, you moron!"

Shippo sighed and said, "I can absolutely imagine what did he say."

"Me too." I said.

"Me three. She may have heard InuYasha saying "Kikyo, I love you. I'll not leave you." That surely it is."

Shippo nodded and so did I.

We returned to Kaede's village. She seemed little worried.

"Did you get to see Kagome?" Kaede asked.

"No. Did she come here?" I asked.

"She did. But then she grabbed her things and immediately ran off and said that she won't be back for a while. She just went by a while ago."

I crossed eyes with Miroku.

"Let's go, Sango. Maybe we can still catch up." Miroku grabbed my wrist and picked Kirara up.

"Hey, InuYasha, aren't you coming?"

"No." InuYasha lied down on the floor.

Me, Miroku and Shippo hopped on Kirara and headed to the well.

We went to the well but saw no one around. Maybe Kagome had already gone home.

I picked Shippo up and said, "Let's go."

When we were about to return to the village. Suddenly we saw Kagome coming out of the well. And we ran to her.

I hugged Kagome. "We were so worried about you, Kagome."

Kagome hugged me back and said, "Sorry, Sango. I'm sorry, everyone."

Shippo wiped his tears. "So you are coming back, aren't you, Kagome?"

Kagome broke the hug and patted Shippo's head.
"No, Shippo. As I told Kaede, I won't be there for a while."

I was about to say something. Suddenly Kagome stood up and called out, "Ah....un....!"

From the bushes, and two headed dragon revealed itself. We recognized the dragon as the one that travels with Lord Sesshomaru.

"Kagome?" surprised, Miroku and I said in unison.

Kagome hopped on the dragon and turned to us.
"Sango, don't follow me, please. I want to be away for a while."

Before flying off, she said, "Please don't say anything to InuYasha. I don't feel like seeing him."

And then Kagome flew away on Ah-un.

I looked at Miroku. He just sighed.

"InuYasha is a real jerk!" Shippo remarked.
