Natsu and the others have brought the unconscious Y/N back to the guildhall. To say many of them were surprised was an understatement. Trish and Wendy were particularly shocked themselves.

After bringing him to the infirmary, Wendy asked if she could heal him; but she was surprised to find that he had no injuries. Cloud and Trish now looking over their unconscious partner while Natsu, Erza, Lucy, Gray, and Happy were explaining the situation to Makarov while the rest of the guild listened. 

Makarov: Hmm. Strange that he would attack then retreat.

Erza: He said he had what he needed. But I also think he was letting us know he's out there and can attack us whenever he chooses.

Lucy: That guy was definitely freaky. He moved so fast, it was almost like he was the wind.

Erza: Not just the way he moved, there was something odd about him. Like this feeling around him. Not like a normal person, more like some kind of monster; the way he felt, it was cold and dark.

Elfman: Sounds like some fancy dark wizard who needs a manly kick in the ass.

Gray: Man, I can't believe we let that guy blindside us.

Juvia: In our defense, he must have been a strong and powerful opponent to defeat one such as my darling.

Natsu: That guy pulled a cheap shot.

Makarov: I'm sure we'll see this man again soon. I'm more interested in this transformation Y/N underwent.

Mirajane: Are you sure it wasn't a Takeover spell?

Erza: No, it definitely was not.

Carla: Seems like Y/N was hiding some information from us. I knew he was.

Wendy: What about this other guy though? Did he say why he attacked Y/N?

Erza: No, but he did say he was Y/N's brother.

That statement was a major shock to the present audience.

Cana & Levy: (shocked) His brother?!

Gray: It's a load of crap if you ask me. He probably said that just to mess with us.

Natsu: I don't think so. He did smell a lot like Y/N.

Makarov: Did you get this man's name?

Lucy: Yeah, he said his name was B/N. 

A single 'ahem' caused the wizards to all turn around to a certain she-demon who had just arrived.

Happy: Trish? Shouldn't you be with Y/N and Cloud? 

Trish: He's fine, looking after him. I couldn't help but overhear though. This man; black and dark blue robe, a katana blade, white hair, blue eyes that look like they could bore a hole into your very soul?

Erza: Yes. How did you-?

Trish: His name is B/N. And he is Y/N's older brother, since he is the eldest son of Dante. 

The wizards were taken back even further by that little revelation. 

Natsu/Gray/Happy: Are you for real?!

Makarov: Are you certain of this Trish?

Trish: Yes, Y/N and Kat told me so themselves.

Natsu: So this whole thing is just some fight between two brothers?

Trish: I'm not entirely sure. They never told me the specifics.

Levy: Did you meet this guy before?

Trish: Once, he wanted my sword; I fought him, and I almost died, but Y/N, Cloud, Kat, and Lady both got me out of there.

Wendy: He almost killed you? Why is he doing this? If he's really Y/N's brother...

Carla: Of course. I should have known that man would bring trouble.

Trish: Hey, back off, will ya? Sure he's secretive, but he deserves a lot more respect, he's been through all sorts of Hells.

Lucy: What do you mean by that?

???: It's best if you hear it from him.

They turned to see Kat who approached them.

Kat: But you should know B/N wasn't like this before.

Mira: How so?

Kat: Because he was my ex-boyfriend.

Juvia: Ex-boyfriend?!

Levy: No way!

Kat: (nodded) That's right.

Elfman: So what's your story with him?

Kat: He rescued me. I was in a foster home. My foster father was a demon. He attacked me most nights. I had to get out.

Wendy: (covered her mouth) Oh you poor thing...

Lucy: I'm so sorry about that.

Kat: It's ok. I felt nothing. I couldn't physically escape so... I found another way. I aimlessly wandered Limbo in spirit form. And I found B/N there. He heard my cry for help. He helped me to deal with the demons, both figuratively and literally. I killed the bastard. Now I want to deal with them all. 

Aerith: Kat... 

Infirmary

Y/N's eyes began to slowly open to a light. He had to briefly close them again to prevent himself from seeing spots. He remembered how he got here, he lost to B/N; yet somehow, he felt extremely energetic, like he could run a marathon and fight an army of demons at the same time.

???: Bout time you woke up.

Y/N slowly turned his head to see the Iron Dragon Slayer sitting on the bed next to his.

Gajeel: I was getting tired of babysitting a near-dead man.

Y/N: (joked) And I was having a nice dream involving me on a tropical island with tons of babes. Tch, starting to sound like my dad now. So, you've been here the whole time?

Gajeel: Nah, your blonde girlfriend's been here; but she asked me to cover for her.

Y/N: (blush) She's not my girlfriend! 

He tried to get up, but soon found himself without his shirt; his red Fairy Tail guild emblem on his shoulder was clearly visible. His jacket was thrown at him.

Gajeel: Get up, the old man's expecting you.

Y/N sighed as he had a good idea of what was to expect next. Gajeel then helped Y/N into the main hall, he sat down on a bench and was surrounded by most of the members.

Y/N: Let me guess, B/N? 

Carla: You mean your older brother? Yes.

Natsu: What the hell is that guy's damage?!

Lucy: If he's your brother why is he attacking you?!

Y/N got all sorts of questions coming to him, but before he could answer, Makarov spoke up.

Makarov: Enough! Y/N just got out from the infirmary. I'm sure he has an explanation ready, but let him talk at his own pace.

Y/N: Thanks gramps. Alright, before I get started though, I have to ask you all something: how many of you heard of the Legend of Sparda?

Natsu quickly raised his hand with Happy. Erza explained the details of the story that she heard from Morrison during their job in which they met Y/N; the demon who turned on his own kind to protect the human world, the Dark Knight. 

Ur: You mean the demon who betrayed his own race to save the human world? Yeah, I've heard stories about him. 

Makarov: I have myself heard of the Legend of Sparda. But what does that have to do with all of this?

Y/N: Because my dad is his son. 

The entire guild was silent for about a whole minute.

Everyone: WHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT?!?!?!

That scream echoed from outside the entire Guild Hall.

Natsu/Gray/Lucy/Happy/Elfman/Cana/Levy: FOR REAL?!?!

Erza/Mirajane/Gajeel/Carla/Wendy/Juvia/Makarov: YOUR FATHER IS SPARDA'S SON?!?!

Y/N: Yup. And my Uncle, Vergil is also Sparda's son. 

Ur: (shocked) But then... you must be his grandson then! 

Y/N: Yeah, that's right. 

Lucy: (shaking) So then... That B/N guy-

Y/Ne: Is also Sparda's grandson.

Wendy: You're.... you're.... a demon?

Y/N: Half demon. My grandfather was a demon, but my grandmother was a human. 

Kat pulls out a photo of Y/N and B/N with their family members, Ruby, Yang, Dante, Summer, Tai, Kasane, Raven, and Qrow. 

Kat: This is them along with their father and the rest of the family, their younger half-sister Ruby, their stepsister Yang, their stepfather Tai, their aunt Raven, their uncle Qrow, and Qrow's daughter and their cousin Kasane. 

Cana: Wow, that's quite a family you have. 

Y/N: (smile) Yeah, quite a family indeed. 

Natsu: So... What's the deal with your brother?

Y/N: (sigh) My dad told me that after spending some time here in the human world, my grandpa settled down and married a human woman named Eva. They had two kids, my dad, Dante and my uncle, Vergil. And for their first few years it seemed like a normal family. But then one day, Sparda decided to leave, and he didn't come back.

Gray: Your grandpa abandoned them?

Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy were thinking about this; something very similar happened to each of them.

Y/N: I don't know the details about why he left, but my dad's mom told him and Vergil that grandpa had something important to do; it wasn't until recently that he learned he died doing what he was doing.

Wendy: (sad) I'm very sorry to hear that.

Y/N: After that it was just the three of them for a few years; some time later they were attacked.

Erza: A dark guild?

Y/N: Demons. 

Levy: Why would demons attack them?

Y/N: Well, for humans; what Sparda did was something that made him a legend. But from the demons point-of-view it was betrayal and an unforgivable crime. They saw my dad and uncle as 'half-breeds' and wanted them dead, for bearing the blood of Sparda. My grandma died while trying to save them, and both Dante and Vergil were separated. 

Each guild wizard had his or her own look of sympathy. 

Y/N: It wasn't until a few years ago that my dad run into Vergil. But for some reason, they started fighting each other to death. 

Ur: They were fighting? Like you and B/N? 

Elfman: Why would they though? 

Y/N: To see one's justice through, a man must fight for it. Even if the one who stands before him is his kin. The brothers of blood disagree on the very reason of their existence. They must fight. That was, until my dad met my mom and her team. 

It was quite funny, because my dad and Tai would always argue and fight over my mom like how Natsu and Gray argue and fight each other. 

Erza: Sounds just like them.

Natsu and Gray: No we're not! 

Y/N: Anyway, by the time I was born, me, B/N, Ruby, and Yang were training to become devil hunters and huntresses just like our parents. 

Years passed by as me, Ruby, and Yang joined Beacon academy and met many friends. Weiss, Blake, Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, Ren, Coco, Velvet, Sun, Neptune, Penny, even Glynda and Ozpin. 

Mirajane: Sounds like you three had a good life. 

Y/N: We did... but it didn't last long. We had to fight off many enemies such as demons, Grimm, the White Fang, Roman Torchwick, and Silas. A former human who became a demon crime lord who planned to free Mundus from his imprisonment by using the Hell Gate. I was found by Kat who was part of the Defense Force, an organisation meant to deal with any supernatural threats to the human and Faunus race. And to my surprise, B/N and Kasane were also part of the group. So, I joined them as well, and believe me, the training and the mission were harder than they were during my time at Beacon. 

Ur: What did you do together? 

Y/N: A lot things. We destroyed a Virility factory, killed an asshole reporter, saved Kat, we even killed both his human ugly wife and his unborn son. I remember when we teamed up together to defeat Silas during the fall of Beacon. (chuckles) It feels like yesterday.

(flashback) 

At Beacon Tower, Y/N reaches the office while Silas sits in Ozpin's chair, collecting power from the Hell Gate. Silas was a tall, bald man with a scarification tattoo of a third eye on his forehead, and he wore a dapper suit with gold pins on the shoulders. His grey eyes glow in the dark, his right one lacks a pupil, and he has a scar on his lower lip and chin.

Silas: (heard Y/N's footsteps) Why did you kill my child?

Y/N is silent and Silas gets up from his chair before he turns to him.

Silas: I will ask you again. Why did you kill my child?

Y/N: Because you and your friends killed Penny and Pyrrha. 

Silas: Ah. So it was revenge. I see.

Y/N: It was more than that.

Silas: Oh?

Y/N: It was for freedom.

Silas: Freedom? Well, You seem to have all the freedom you need. The freedom to murder my heir.

Y/N: I'm not talking about my freedom. I'm talking about mankind's. 

Silas: Mankind, both humans and Faunus, you mean? And what would they do with freedom do you suppose? Because when I arrived, they had it. And what do you think they did with it? They fought each other. They killed each other. And they starved because of that. My master, Mundus, gave me the power to change the world. Thanks to him, I brought prosperity. I brought structure. What have you brought? Besides violence. War. Death!

Y/N continues glaring at Silas as B/N was seen outside the office with a young woman with long, grey hair with red eyes and matching flower hair ornament Naomi made for her. She opts to wear the Shinobi variant of the black military uniform, Dawn White Battle Attire and a number of other outfits. Shinobi consists of a shoulderless shirt with sleeves and grey leggings. This was their cousin, Kasane Branwen. 

Kasane: (whispers) This isn't working. 

B/N: (whispers) Come on, Y/N... Get. Him. Pissed!

(Back to the office) 

Y/N: You know what, Silas? You're right, it wasn't for mankind. It was - it was for revenge. I gotta tell ya - killing your child like that, watching it explode into little wet chunks, hearing you scream like one of your little demon bitches. Priceless. 

Feeling angered by this, Silas unleashes a shockwave to push Y/N out of Ozpin's office. Y/N lands near B/N and Kasane as they look at each other. 

And then Silas flies towards Y/N, taking him out of the tower, alongside him. They crashed through a building before Silas burst out and throws Y/N onto the roof.

Y/N, being disoriented from the attack, is unable to defend himself when Silas stabs his fingers on his chest and starts trying to rip out his heart.

SIlas: (angered) I am going to make you watch me, while I eat your beating heart.

Back in the office, B/N and Kasane went to the Hell Gate. 

Kasane: We're almost out of time, the Hell Gate will activate and Mundus will be free. 

B/N: Then let's shut this thing down. (draws Yamato and hops on the desk) 

Y/N struggles to get Silas off him as Penny being torn apart, Yang losing her arm, Pyrrha's death, and Ruby using the Silver Eye powers flashes before his eyes. 

B/N then uses Yamato to close the Hell Gate, while Y/N almost falls unconscious, with brief flashbacks of his mother and father. Silas then notices the Hell Gate is closing.

Silas: The Hell Gate...

After the Hell Gate closed, the real world and Limbo combined, with humans and Faunus seeing the demons that appeared in the Kingdom of Vale. The Defense Force soldiers began firing at the demons while protecting the civilians. 

Silas: What have you done?! 

B/N appears behind Silas and stabs him in the back, causing him to yell in pain.

B/N: Leave my brother alone.

B/N removes Yamato off as Y/N overpowers Silas and throws him off the roof. Also he spits on him for good measure. Silas crashes onto a car as the spit went on his face. 

B/N: You okay Y/N?

Y/N: You took your time.

B/N: You're welcome.

Kasane: (arrives) Now's not the time, look. 

Back on the ground, Silas starts to suck everything in like buildings, rocks, the ground, vehicles, even people. He then starts growing in size, as he was bigger than every building around him. Then he looks down on his enemies. 

Y/N, Kasane, and B/N turned to face the amalgamation of demolished buildings and ripped up concrete – Silas' demon form. He takes on the form of a pitch-black humanoid the size and complexion of his human disguise, whose body is covered with silver lines and cracks.

Silas: (looks down at Y/N and B/N) Two children of Dante? Two spawns of Sparda? 

B/N: You ready for this?

Y/N: We can kill him now?

Kasane: The Hell Gate is shut. 

Silas: You will die!

B/N: NEVER!!! 

Kasane We got any ideas?

Y/N: (points to Silas' third eye) See that eye of his?

B/N: Yes.

Y/N: His demon child had something like that. We start there.

B/N: OK. We'll have to get it open.

Silas: I am the chosen one of Mundus!

Y/N: YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE!!!

Silas prepares for attack by raising his gigantic fist.

B/N: Keep him busy, I'll try and get the eye exposed.

The brothers and cousin dodge split as Slias brought his fist crashing down on the roof: B/N to the right, Y/N to the left, and Kasane ainthe middle. 

B/N: Don't attack him, just stay alive until I expose his eye.

He summoned a sword made of pure energy and sent it towards Silas with a flick of his wrist. After Silas destroys the building they were on, Y/N sees B/N in another one shooting his spectral swords at Silas. 

B/N then gained in a twist of blue smoke soon after. His form was so different from his brother's, feet light as he threw another barrage of energy swords while Silas swiped at him and further toppled the building he stood on, sending Silas flying to the ground.

Kasane: B/N! 

She then jumped toward B/N and grabbed his hand, preventing him from falling off. Silas was about to strike at them. 

B/N: Y/N, do something!

Y/N answered with a roar as he entered his Pseudo Devil Trigger which made time slow down as Silas was frozen in place.  

Using her gravity semblance, Kasane lifts up a truck and throws it at Silas' forehead. To stabilize himself, Silas holds on the building. B/N picked himself up effortlessly and continued to summon his projectiles, launching one straight at Silas' eye and forcing it open even as Silas was slowed by Y/N's Trigger. 

B/N: Now, Y/N! Get to the eye!

Y/N's arm green ether markings as he flies or rather falls toward Silas. 

Y/N: Magimech Attack: Gravity Fist! 

Y/N's arm begins to glow for a brief moment and then he punches Silas with enough force. The blow that Y/N struck sent Silas scrabbling for purchase on nearby buildings. 

Then, finding his feet, Silas picked Y/N off of him like a bug and flung him across the chasm and into the side of a building. 

Concentration shattered, the oppressive weight of Y/N's Trigger lifted, as he ends up falling. B/N notices it and transports himself and Kasane to save Y/N by crashing inside the building with him.

Y/N: Good save.

B/N: Can't you use your–

Kasane: Already used it!

They then look at Silas who appears to have cracks all over his body.

Kasane: Look, he's showing cracks.

B/N notices something inside the construct of buildings.

B/N: Hey, do you see that?

Among the cracks in Silas' chest there was a glowing red cluster, and inside that the pure black silhouette of a man.

Y/N: Yeah I see it. He's still in there.

B/N: We need to get in there, and kill him.

The trio look at Silas again. B/N led them through the building as it fell apart.

Kasane: Why was his body in there?

B/N: Silas' demon form is merged with his physical body. That's why he's protecting it. 

Y/N: So if we kill his body...

B/N: We kill Silas!

The trio reaches an office and Silas notices them, destroying it in the process and knocking Kasane down. Silas' face eclipsed the windows, a giant fist wiping out the glass with ease and catching B/N in his vacuum. 

Y/N: Oh no, B/N! 

Y/N slides after his brother, but Silas had already grabbed B/N around the jaw and sucked him into the demon's red core.

Y/N: NOOOOOOO!!! (Silas looks at him) What have you done to him?!

Silas didn't response as unleashed a breath of lava from his mouth which made Y/N jump onto another building. 

Silas began slamming his fist down and barely missing him on the left side. He attacked the fist nearest to him, making his way to a different rooftop when Silas spewed molten lava at their perch.

Y/N began shooting at Silas with his guns as he was about to thrust his fist, held it in place with his grappling hook while he channeled his rage to power his attacks until Silas broke Y/N's hold with a wail, watching as his right arm disintegrated up to the molten shoulder.

Before Silas could douse him in magma, Y/N ripped his eye open. The demon tossed his head back with a thunderous cry. Now he could see B/N brawling with the smaller manifestation of Silas.

After doing so, the "little" body fighting with B/N inside feels pain. Y/N then proceeds to do the same on the other side of the body, with the same result.

He moved to the next building; Silas was hot on his heels. Y/N attacked Silas with his gravity powers along with effortlessly switching between the weapons in his arsenal. He brought down Rebellion with a satisfying crack, the second hand disappearing much like the first.

The demon fell forward as he moved to attack its directly. Inside, they could see B/N, nose bloodied as his body absorbed hit after hit. Y/N unloading round after round into Silas with Ebony and Ivory until Silas dared get close enough to attack them with his face.

Y/N slams it home with a solid punch that forced the demonic form to stumble backwards, stunned. Then he jumps to B/N to finish the job. Reaching for Rebellion, Y/N took his chance and launched himself at Silas with a battle cry.

B/N kicks Silas towards Y/N and he slices him with Rebellion, causing him to explode, while the brothers leave through his back. The demon crumbled, falling to the ground in great chunks.

Limbo fades away as Y/N, B/N, and Kasane stand up from the battle they had.

Kasane: Is it over?

B/N: Yeah, we did it.

Y/N: (smirk) You mean I did it.

The brothers and cousin laugh together. Then they look at the destruction, while patting each other on their backs.

(flashback ended) 

Makarov: You've managed to defeat Silas? 

Y/N: We did, and we stopped his plan of freeing Mundus. 

Carla: That was incredible.

Elfman: And so manly! 

Juvia: My Darling~! You are truely amazing! 

Ur: You two were really brothers back then. 

Y/N: (smile) We were. (fades into a frown) But... After the defeat of Silas, B/N changed by revealing his true colors.

(flashback)

Y/N, B/N, and Kasane were reunite with Kat and as they looked at the destruction.

Kat: (eyes widen) What's happening?

B/N: (proud look) Limbo has collapsed into the real world. What was once hidden is now laid bare for all to see. Revolution is in the air.

Kasane: Even though Beacon has fallen, we stopped Silas' plan and the Defense Force has evacuated as many civilians as they possibly could. 

Kat: (smile) I never believed I'd live to see this day. 

Y/N: (smile) It's the beginning of the end for the demons. Mankind will be free.

B/N: Yes. Free from the demons, the path is clear for us to rule.

Y/N, Kasane, and Kat look at B/N in shock.

Y/N: (shocked) What did you just say?

B/N looked back at his brother; brows furrowed in confusion.

B/N: The path is clear for us to rule.

Y/N: To rule what?

B/N: (looking across the city) This. Everything.

Kat: B/N?

Y/N: You don't mean... like Silas, do you?

B/N: No... No, we'll be nothing like Silas. We'll respect our subjects, not enslave them.

Kat: Subjects?

Kasane: What do you mean by "subjects"? 

Realization passed over Y/N's face as he pushed himself off of the railing.

Y/N: He means Kat. (walking past Kat to his brother) He means humans and Faunus.

Kasane: B/N, please don't tell you're going to be like Vergil, are you? 

Kat: I thought we were fighting for freedom! 

Y/N: It was his freedom we were fighting for. Not yours.

B/N: Don't be so simplistic. Humans and Faunus are frail. They're like children. They've been fighting each other due to their appearances, fame, money, and power. They need protection. Not just from others, but from themselves! We, you and I, have saved them. 

Y/N: (looks at his brother) You and I saved them? 

B/N: Who else? 

Y/N: (gestures to Kat and Kasane) Humans, mainly your girlfriend and our cousin! 

B/N: (spared Kat and Kasane half a glance) Kat and Kasane were useful but- 

Kat: (heart broken) Useful? 

Y/N paced before his brother and, unable to hold himself back any longer, laid into him.

Y/N: Kat saved my life! Kat held out under torture to keep your existence a secret! Kat led us through to Silas' lair! We would have failed twenty times over if it weren't her!

B/N: Y/N... 

Y/N: And what about the rest of our friends and family, huh?! Penny has been torn apart! Yang has lost her arm while trying to save Blake! Weiss has been probably adducted back to Atlas by her father! Pyrrha sacrificed herself, only to be killed by the same girl who became the Fall Maiden! And Ruby is most likely broken physically and mentally! 

B/N:  And I am grateful for their sacrifices, but-

Y/N: But they're our friends and family! Now you're just going to believe that they're nothing to you?! After everything they've done for us! 

B/N: Listen! If you can't see the chaos the humans and Faunus will cause, if you don't want the responsibility of protecting them, then stand aside. I'll rule alone if I have to.

Y/N aggressively points at him as he shoved a finger into B/N's chest.

Y/N: I DIDN'T HELP YOU DESTROY SILAS SO YOU COULD TAKE HIS PLACE!!! I can't let you do this, B/N.

B/N stood to his full height and rolled his shoulders back; seething.

B/N: And I can't let you stop me, brother. Stand aside.

Y/N: Don't do this.

Kat: B/N, please!

B/N: STAY OUT OF THIS!!!

Kasane: Kat, you need to get back. 

Kasane pushes Kat back as they head toward a car. Kat watched in a numb sort of fascination as B/N, the man who had saved her, transformed to a stranger before her very eyes.

Black clouds began to form in the sky as the two brothers slowly took a few steps back. Y/N put his hand on the summoned Rebellion while B/N gripped Yamato's handle tightly. The sound of thunder could be heard as the two stopped and stared at each other.

Y/N: We could've built the future together. 

B/N: I'll build it myself. After I tear down everyone in my way!

B/N charged towards his brother with Y/N doing the same. The two clashed swords for a few seconds before then both leapt away from each other.

Y/N went in with stinger but B/N parried the attack, causing Y/N to stagger before using his teleport slash on him, knocking him back. Shaking his head, he got back up and took out Ebony & Ivory and began to open fire at B/N to which he easily deflected by merely twirling Yamato in a circle. 

B/N gave small smirk before summoning his blistering swords and launched them at Y/N. Out of relax, Y/N used his gravity power to lift a pole and uses it deflected them back at B/N with shredder, impaling him with the swords in the process.

It became immediately apparent that B/N hadn't expected Y/N to hold his own during the fight. Seizing the opportunity, Y/N began to float with gravity before he delivers a kick across his face. He was sent tumbling to the ground.

Y/N: Sorry, brother.

B/N got up from the ground, sheathing Yamato.

B/N: Don't be.

He teleported in the air much to Y/N's surprise and did his Ariel flush move to which Y/N dodges the attack. Y/Ne used demon pull on him and batted him away with Rebellion.

The two brothers stopped their attacks to catch a quick break, breathing heavily. It then began to rain heavily out of nowhere.

B/N: It's raining...

He turned his attention back to his brother who fired his guns. B/N just merely swatted them out of the way like an annoying fly.

What he didn't expect was for Y/N to follow up with a stinger punch immediately after knocking him back down to the ground.

Y/N: It's not too late.

Y/N offered his brother an out, desperately trying to hang on to the only family that he had left; the long-lost brother that he'd just found. B/N got back, his back turned to Y/N. He disappeared and reappeared behind him.

B/N: Yes it is.

Y/N swung Rebellion at B/N only for him to teleport out of the way. He reappeared behind him again and shoved Y/N full force against a wall. Y/N gritted his teeth as the red veins around his eyes glowed red.

He walked towards B/N swung Rebellion at him with intent to kill. Vergil parried his attack and went in with his Divorce combo, the last strike knocking Y/N onto his back.

Y/N did a quick kip up and held his sword on a reverse grip charging his Drive. B/Nl smirked before teleporting in front of Y/N only to be on the receiving end of his Drive/Overdrive move.

B/N was knocked back for the last time before he unsheathed Yamato and stabbed it into the ground and activated his Pseudo Devil Trigger which allowed him to gain a dark blue aura. 

Y/N narrowed his eyes as the storm grew worse. Then all a sudden, another form ripping itself from his being: a doppelgänger.

All the times they had trained together, Y/N had never seen B/N fight like this before. He held nothing back, coordinating his attacks with his double with the sole focus of securing a win, on taking the throne that he believed he was owed.

Y/N activated his own Pseudo Devil trigger as the colour around them changed. The two walked towards each other and exchanged swings with each other's swords. Kat and Kasane just kept watching nervously as the two brothers fight escalated while trying not to get knocked down by the wind.

As their blades were locked, Y/N  grabbed B/N by the throat and began to strangle him. B/N grabbed his arm and pried it off of him and threw him, causing him to land a few feet from the others. 

Shaking his head, Y/N looked up to see B/N brandishing Yamato. In a blink of an eye, Y/N stabbed B/N with the Rebellion. The Yamato clattered to the ground. B/N froze up, gasped in pain and surprise; Rebellion ran through his chest.

He pawed at the flat of the blade as Y/N forced him to the ground, driving the sword further into B/N's chest and the dirt. 

Kasane: Y/N, no! 

Kat then comes out of hiding and approaches the brothers, tears welling in her eyes.

Kat: (crying) Y/N... Y/N, don't kill him. Please.

She begged, desperate for Y/N to let his brother live. Even though B/N had thrown Kat away the instant she'd fulfilled her purpose she still wanted to save him. Still loved him. Kat had been saved from one abusive relationship only to fall into another. 

Rebellion was forced further into the ground, Y/N deaf to Kat's plea. B/N let out a cry of pain and agony as Y/N sunk the blade down to the hilt.

Kat: (crying) I am begging you.

Kasane: Y/N!!! 

His red glowing eyes turned to Kasane as he widened them to see tears falling from her eyes. 

Kasane: (crying) Stop... I know B/N's doing is wrong, but he's still part of our family. Don't kill him, your mother wouldn't want that. (hugs him) We're better than this. Don't be like Dante was he fought Vergil. Please, do it for your friends... your family... and me... 

Y/N was coming back to himself as he snaps from his state and pulls Rebellion out from B/N's chest. Y/N stood and offered B/N his hand which he accepted, hauling himself to his feet while clutching the gaping wound in his chest.

In the same moment, they released each other, Y/N's expression stern. He had taken no pleasure in winning this fight.

Y/N: We were given our power to change our world and you chose to destroy it. Just like Vergil. you have betrayed Remnant and its citizens.... And You have betrayed.... Me. 

B/N: (breathing heavily) ..... 

Y/N: Go.... Take Yamato.... And leave... You are banished from the Rose/Xiao Long/Branwen family. 

B/N: (gasped) 

Y/N: It didn't have to end this way.

B/N: (anger, shaking his head in disgust) You've chosen the wrong side. You're not human, Y/N, and you will never be. 

He rebuffed Kat as she approached him, instead bending painfully to pick up Yamato where she had fallen and opening a portal. Before entering, he took one last look at his brother. A look of betrayal on his face.

B/N: I loved you, brother...

B/N then leaves through the portal. Y/N, Kasane, and Kat are now alone as Y/N is confused about himself.

Y/N: (sad) I don't know who I am anymore.

Kat puts her hand on Y/N's cheek.

Kat: I know exactly who you are... You are Y/N. Nothing more and nothing less.

Y/N then looks into the distance as his eyes glow red.

(flashback ended)

Y/N: He wasn't the same brother I knew as a kid or the one who helped us defeat Silas. Something happened to him, I don't know what, but he became something else.

Kat: Y/N... 

Ur: So what is B/N's problem? 

Y/N: He thinks that the only thing that matters in life is power, and without it you're nothing. He doesn't care who gets in his way or how he does it; if it involves obtaining more power, he'll do it without a second thought.

Happy: But if you're his brother can't you just say he's wrong?

Y/N: I tried, several times, and he tried to run me through with his sword each time.

Erza: How did he get that train of thought?

Y/N: (shrugged a bit) I don't know the specifics, but my guess; he found out who our grandpa really was and he got some kind of superiority complex just like Vergil did. He wants as much power as possible to surpass both our father, Vergil, and Sparda so he could become the ruler of the human and demon worlds, because that's how he thinks it can work. 

Natsu: You ask me that's a load of crap.

Gray: Same here.

Makarov: Regardless. Do you think he may come again?

Y/N: It's possible, but I'm not sure. B/N is the furthest thing from predictable, but when he does, I don't want anyone in this guild to fight him.

Natsu: No way! (slams his flaming fist into his palm) That guy blindsided me, not to mention he hurt my friends! If he shows his face I'm gonna put the smack-down on him!

Gray: Get in line! I wanted a piece of payback at B/N too!

Ur: You and me both!

Y/N: No. You guys are not gonna fight him.

Natsu: Hey! Don't tell me who I can or can't-

Y/N: Listen to me!

This caught everyone in off guard.

Y/N: B/N is not someone you can trade fists with. He'll tear through you before you could even blink. (summoned his sword) You see this?

Lucy: Your sword?

Y/N: It's a Devil Arm. And it used to belong to our father, Rebellion. B/N's got one too. It's called Yamato, it's made of the same kind of metal, and it belonged to Vergil. When B/N picks up his blade, dozens of demons are killed in a split second.

Several wizards were surprised at this.

Erza: (thoughts) Someone strong like that? How could he even exist?

Y/N: If or when B/N comes back, just back off and leave him to me.

Makarov: (deeply sigh) Very well.

Erza: Master?

Makarov: I'm well aware that if even one of my children is in danger, we all must strive to assist him or her. However, if B/N is really as strong as Y/N makes him out to be, I won't be risking any of your lives fighting him. Should he be sighted, do not engage him, that goes for all of you.

Most of the wizards nodded in agreement, except for Natsu who was clenching his fists in anger. Y/N stared up at the ceiling, deep in thought. He felt his chest and knew B/N had taken his mother's amulet, why?

Y/N: (thoughts) What the hell are you up to this time?

Unknown location

B/N sat in a chair and held two objects in his hand; one of them was the red amulet he took from Y/N; the other was nearly identical only it was blue.

B/N: So... You've involved yourself in a guild, brother. That's surprising. 

???: Seems like the devil has joined with the fairies now. 

B/N turns to see a figure walking towards him. He was a well-built man with fair skin, short jagged black hair and grey eyes. He wore black plate armor with staggered plate pauldrons; and a chestpace over his chest.

B/N: Malos. 

Malos: So, what are you going to do now, B/N? With all two amulets at your possession, you can open the door to the Underworld so you can finish what Vergil failed. 

B/N: No, there's been a change in plans. 

Malos: Oh yeah? 

B/N: (gets up from his chair) Come. Let's see what Fairy Tail has to offer then, shall we?

B/N then began to walk out with Malos following him; it was time to do some researching. Find out why Fairy Tail is so special.

First up: I'm well aware of the cannon Devil May Cry timeline (DMC3-DMC1-Anime-DMC4-DMC2). But I'm making up my own timeline, so expect some contradictions. Again, this is MY OWN ORIGINAL timeline. Just wanted to clarify that.

Second, in this timeline, I'm making Trish's sword, Sparda; and the Perfect Amulet separate artifacts.
