As the figure steps closer, you notice your mom unconscious on the ground. You try to shout but your voice fails you.

????: This is your precious family's fault. Now I will take it all away!

The figure lunges but you wake in a cold sweat in your dorm. You look at your hands and whisper to yourself.

Y/N: That nightmare again...

You check the time on your clock, 3:22 am. You sigh and get out of bed, careful not to wake your team. You step out to the roof of the dormitory and stare up at the night sky, where Remnant's broken moon casts its glow.

Y/N: ...

Vice: Can't sleep?

Y/N: Nah... Nightmares...

Vice: Mm...

You stare at the moon, taking your nightmares out of your thoughts.

Y/N: You ever wonder why the moon is broken?

Vice: Dunno.

Y/N: ...

The following afternoon, the Doubles Round of the Vytal Festival begins with the first match being Sun and Neptune going up against Daniel and August.

Emily: You can do it, August! Kick some butt, Daniel!

Sun splits his weapon into its nunchuck mode and rushes August while Daniel dodges Neptune's shots from his weapon's gun mode.

Demons: I will- Gah!

Daniel grabs his chest and winces in pain.

Neptune: H-Hey? You good?

Daniel grabs his head in pain.

Demons: I'm fine! Just focus on the fight!

Daniel holds up a new Vistamp.

Scorpion!

Dominate Up! Scorpion! Genomix!

Daniel activates a new Genomix and smacks Neptune out of the ring, only for his Aura to deplete and he de-transforms.

Port: And we have a double knockout! Neptune of Team SSSN and Daniel of JADE have been eliminated via ringout and Aura depletion respectively!

Live: Daniel... We need to wrap this up...

August tries a Rider Kick while Sun uses his Semblance of launch light clones at him. This doesn't stop the Bat themed Rider's attack, depleting Sun's aura.

Oobleck: And with that Team JADE proceeds to the Semi-finals!

After your team's match, you walk along a hallway in the colosseum, checking your Gundephone. You stop and see the man the Deadmans broke out of the Skybase.

Y/N: Crap...

Jack: You die...

He holds up his Vistamp and presses the button.

Sabertiger!

He stamps himself and takes on a demon form.

Y/N: Vice! Henshin!

Rex!

Buddy Up! Revi! Vice! Revice!

Vice: Ain't this that freak the Deadmans took during the Skybase attack?

Revi: Focus.

Jack dashes at you and you barely have time to block his first attack with the Ohinbuster.

Jack: You are target... Target must die...

Vice kicks him away.

Vice: Target? You some kinda hitman?!

Jack: Not your business.

You hold up the Barid Rex stamp.

Revi: Let's wrap this up!

Vice: Let's do this!

You pull your Vistamp and create constructs of the Remixes of each form appear and merge, giving the Kamakiri Remix the Kong's fists and the Jackal's skateboard.

The fused Remix dashes around Jack, attacking from every angle. The Deadman is knocked back and he glares at you.

Jack: Tch...

He vanishes and you sigh.

Vice: Good riddance!

You de-transform and look at Vice.

Y/N: This isn't good. We need to find Ozpin.

You run off to find the Headmaster but someone was spying on your fight.

Cinder: Hm... This just keeps getting interesting...
