Zoe

{WARNING : THIS CHAPTER OF THE DEMIGOD CHRONICLES INVOLVES SOME CUTTING AND SOME DARK THOUGHTS !} I had to say after being blinded by Medusa's blood I was blinder than a bat plus Thalia said I needed to soak my eyes in warm water.

Which may I say hurts more than anything in this world.

I groaned as Alex looked from the rear view mirror and asked "You gonna be screaming this whole ride Grace ?"

I rose my eyes at her and said "Oh I don't know , how about you have your eyes soaked in warm water then talk to me."

She rolled her eyes and went back to driving as I groaned louder.

I changed clothes since my old ones where covered in blood

I took the warm towel from my eyes as I sat up as I asked "Are we there yet ?"

"No Zoe, we still have a couple of miles left."

I sighed and looked around noticing that we were close to my apartment

"Hey, were not that from your mom's place Z." Thalia told me as I said "Yeah were not."

"Zoe your mom the best." Phoenix told.

Phoenix had meet my mother before. She meet her when she spent last Thanksgiving with her. Let's just say my mom like Phoenix a lot.

"We need to get some rest and decide I pretty sure all of us would love to get out of this van." Nico said.

He did have a point. Yeah the van was big but I got tired of seeing the same brown carpet and the same small cabinet.

"I know let's get out of this thing." Phoenix said as Alex's asked

"Zoe's which is one is your mom ?"

"The one to the left." I told her as Alex's put the car in reverse.

We all got out of our car as we grabbed our things as we walked up the stairs.

I knocked on the door as it took a couple of minutes but the door open to reveal my mother who just looked at me.

I had to say though my mom was only 28 years old I never thought of her as old. She was still the cool mom I always knew. My mom had golden blonde hair and bright warm brown eyes that right now looked full of kindness and stress at the same time. She was wearing a black t-shirt with gray ripped jeans with a denim jacket with brown boots as she smiled at me.

"Well, Well, Look who comes to my door after not calling for three days."

"Hi Mom." I said as she glare at me and said "Come in." as she let us inside.

The Demigod Chronicles Book 3~ Chapter 25

Zoe

I had to say my mom didn't like a dirty apartment.

The whole place was clean up from the last time I saw the place.

She still had the brown coach that I remember I would sit on after a long day of school or a long quest along with the rug in the middle and the TV on the wall and the black and white kitchen.

"Hello all of you." she told all of my friends as I introduced them

"Mom as you know this is Priscilla, Phoenix and you already know Thalia and Nico."

"Yes I know Thalia and Nico. Hello Nico it's been a long time since I've seen."

"Yeah it has been last time we saw each other you stomach was swollen."

"Yeah with this one." my mom said turning to me as I said "I couldn't have been that bad."

"Oh you weren't that bad. I was the one who dealt with morning sickness, cravings and swollen boobs for 9 long months not to mention have monsters chase me left and right so yes being pregnant with you wasn't easy."

I gave a slit eye roll as my mother turned to the others.

"Oh and this is Leona she's a Hunter of Artemis. And these two are Alex's and Henry. Kids of Hades."

"It's a pleasure to meet you miss Grace." Henry said extended his hand as my mother shook it as she said  "Well aren't you a kind boy."

"Thank you." Henry said smiling at me as I scoffed and went toward the fridge.

"Anyway so let me guess a quest is going on."

"Yes. Following Hades Trail." as my mom let out a quiet curse word but I was able to hear it.

"Language." I said to her grabbing a turkey and ham sandwich.

"Oh please." she told me as she went to go wash some dishes.

"Well look like you guys are going to be staying her for a while so let me get you all settled."

"Also seems like you all could get clean up. Zoe's there some extra mattress in the basement. Zoe you Priscilla and Alex can sleep in your room while Thalia, Nico and Leona, Alex and Phoenix can sleep in living room."

"Now Zoe will show you all up stairs." my mother told them as she began to cut some steak as I turned around sandwich in hand as I said "I will ?"

My mom gave a motherly eyebrow raise which let me know that she wasn't going to ask again.

"Zoe dear please go show the guests around the house. Not going to ask again."

My I let you guys know she was holding a very sharp knife in her hand.

I gave a nervous smile as I brought Alex's and Priscilla upstairs.

"Nice room Grace." Alex said to me as she looked around my room.

My room wasn't big nor small. It was a normal room.

My room was on the top floor as I had a queen size bed with navy blue covers with black and white pillows with a black rug in the middle along with two bean bags with a desk in the corner for school work.

My room was decorated with personal photos. Some with me as a baby others with me and my mother and others like me and Priscilla and some with Phoenix in them or others with Percy, Leo, Nico, Annabeth, Piper, Jason or Thalia in them. 

Only with my name slept out in letters in big bold ZOE

"Thanks." I told her as I put my stuff done along with the others as Priscilla landed on my bed as she picked up a photo of me and her.

Priscilla and me both had our eyes crossed as Priscilla chuckled and asked "Remember this Z ?"

I look over at the old photo and said "Yeah. That was a long time ago." as Alex took off her boots and put them against the wall as she turned to me and said "And we will be sleeping where ?"

"Here. All three of us in the same bed."

That caused Alex's to groan as she said "Kill me now."

"Aw can't do that. We miss you to much." Priscilla told her as Alex rolled her eyes and said "I can't stand you two."

Then there was a knock on the door as it open to revel my mother as she asked "Everyone settled ?"

"Yep. Were all good in here." Priscilla told my mom as she said "Come on downstairs. I made some chips and dip and plus the others are watching TV." as she walked away as me and Priscilla got from the bed.

"Come on let's go."

"Wait, you guys go without me." Alex told us as Priscilla turned and said "Are you sure ? Zoe's mom's dip is the best."

"I'm positive. I want to just sit up here for a minute." as Zoe said "Ok then well be downstairs." as the two left closing the door.

Alex's sighed as her eyes dropped and she digged into her bag and pulled out a tiny red pocketknife as she sighed and went into the bathroom and locked it.

Priscilla

"Man, Alex's is missing it out." Phoenix said as she ate a chip loaded with Zoe's mom dip another it.

"I know this dip is amazing Miss Grace." Henry told my mother as she smiled and said "Thank You Henry. It's my own recipe."

"Awesome Recipe." Thalia told her facing the TV.

I couldn't stay focus because I thought about Alex and how long she was taking...

Alex

I really hated doing this.

I kept telling myself the same thing over and over again.

"This isn't healthy."

"This  won't help you"

"You shouldn't be doing this."

But then there were the other voice. Or I liked to call them My Dark Thoughts.

"This is helping you."

"You need to do this."

"This can cure your pain."

I always ended up listen to those thoughts. The Bad Ones. Instead of listen to the good ones.

I knew this was wrong but I couldn't tell my mind that. I just kept doing it. Even if I ended up hurting myself.

I took in a shaky breath as my eyes were a bright red as my eyes glitter with tears that ran down my cheeks.

Heat prickled across my skin as I held the pocketknife in my hand as I cut my arm a few times it stung a lot causing me to groan in agony as the blood ran down my arm as I dropped the knife as it fell to the ground as I burst into tears as I was pretty sure the others  heard me.

I needed to stop this. But I couldn't. I wasn't good enough. For anybody. For this world. I couldn't take anymore of this. The pain, this agony.

Wouldn't it be better if I just ended it so I didn't have to feel the pain anymore ?

I looked across the tile floor as I saw the bloody knife dripping onto the floor as I wiped my face as I took in a deep breath.

My head was killing me. I needed a Aspirin. I got up with a stumbled and looked into the mirror as I noticed I was getting blood onto the sink as I cursed and I got a napkin and began to clean it along with the floor.

I made sure my arm was covered up as I sniffled and hide the knife in my pocket as I groaned because of my wound.

I was making my way towards the room ready to crash into bed when I heard Phoenix call me from below.

"Ally ! You have got to try this dip it's the best !"

I looked at them as the thought came back "Your not good enough."

I gave a dark look and looked away from them and made my way towards Zoe's room as I turned off the lights and went to bed.

The others looked at one another as Nico asked "Is she ok ?"

"I don't know you can never tell with Alex." Priscilla said as Henry grimaced.

"It's getting late anyway. Let's call it a night." as me and Priscilla made our way upstairs.

We flick the light on seeing Alex's in the middle fast asleep  with her arms crossed as I walked to the left while Priscilla got the right as I got snuggled in my sheets as Priscilla was out like a light and began to drool with one arm under the covers and another on the pillow and went to bed.

Zoe

My mother walked into my room ready to wake me, Alex and Priscilla up but she just stood at the doorway and smiled.

Me and Priscilla was cuddling Alex who was in the middle hair spend all over the bed.

If she wasn't sleeping I was pretty sure she would kick me and Priscilla both in the face.

My mother chuckled and said "I never seen a cuter pair of A Daughter of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.

My mother smiled as she quietly closed the door as we remanded sleep.

Alex

I tried to move around but I was stopped by somebody's tight grip.

I looked up only to see Zoe blocking my way.

I had to say when sleeping the young daughter of Zeus was very cute.

Zoe hair was shimmer in the morning sun which made her skin look tan as I groaned.

I couldn't believe I allowed these two to get this close to me. But they did keep me warm during the cold night.

I tried to get out the other side but then there was Priscilla who also had me caged me her arm draped over me.

And I really had to pee.

I groaned louder as I said to the sleeping daughter of Zeus.

"Grace ! Wake Up I need to pee" those words made the young daughter of Zeus shift her body where she was facing me.

I taped her arm as she slowly opened her eyes at me as she yawned and said "Sorry here." as she raised her hand allowed me to get out of bed.

Priscilla on the other had her back turned as she was snoring quietly facing the fan Zoe's mom had facing us.

I slid out of bed as I made my way towards Zoe's bathroom.

While doing my business I noticed the bloody napkins in the trash can as I grimaced.

I pulled my pants up as I washed my hands as I peeked out of the doorway making sure both Zoe and Priscilla were still asleep.

I tip toed out of Zoe's room and made my way downstairs where everyone else was still asleep.

I sighed in relief as I threw the napkins away.

I turned around along to be faced with Phoenix as I jolted as she did as well.

I took in a shaky breath as I said "What the {she says h word} Tool Girl ?"

She gave a sleepy smile and said "Good morning to you two Morning Breath."

I rolled my eyes at her and said "What the heck are you doing it's 4:00 in the morning."

"Shouldn't I be asking you the same thing ?"

"I'll go first. I was woken up when I heard someone coming downstairs. I thought it was Zoe's mom but no it was you."

"I had to pee but Grace was blocking me once she was awake I got up and I thought I would be kind and change the trash."

"You nice ?" as I gave her a stare as Phoenix said "And Bloody Napkins ?"

I rolled my eyes as I began to walk back upstairs right before Phoenix's said "Looks Like Someone's on their period."

I gave her a look as I gave her my middle finger as she gave her cute goofy smile.

She reminded me of a five year old since her hair was tied into two balls.

I rolled my eyes and went upstairs.

Zoe

I groaned.

My eyes greet the afternoon sun as I noticed that both Priscilla and Alex's weren't next to me.

It felt nice to have those two sleep with me.

I wasn't alone. Like always.

I rubbed my eyes as I sat up as I stretched as I got my slippers on as I brushed my teeth as I walked out of my room seeing the others all dressed and eating pancakes as they saw me as my mom looked up from pouring pancake batter as she said

"Well good morning my Little Princess." as I stood on the balcony and gave a sleepy smile.

I made my way downstairs and sat down next to Priscilla who I noticed pancakes where dyed blue as she began to flood them with syrup.

"Your drowning them." I told her as she glanced at me and said "As a Daughter of Poseidon I can't drown and neither can my pancakes." as I rolled my eyes as my mother placed down chocolate pancakes with Hershey's syrup with chocolate chips and a little thing of whipped cream.

My eyes went wide as I turned to her and asked "Um what's with the chocolate pancakes ? It's not my birthday."

My mother sighed with a cheerful smile and said "Can't a mother do something nice for her daughter without her asking ?" as she washed the dishes.

I rose my brow at her as I licked the syrup and asked "Ok your in a good mood something going on tell me ?"

My mother gave a mini laugh and said "Zoe I can't be happy ?"

"I never said that." I told her as my mom smiled and said "You know I guess every since I got pregnant with you I've been happy and just looking at the person I pushed out of my body I get happy."

"Ew mom I didn't want to know that." as she smirked and me as I grinned back.

"Man she really is your daughter." Nico told my mom as she smiled and said "You know what Nico I think your right. She's like my tiny mirror."

"I know." I said as I put some of the chocolate pancake in my mouth as my mother grinned as she walked over and kissed my forehead and said "I love you Silly Goose."

"Really Silly Goose ?" as she smiled and said "I like Silly Goose." as I rolled my eyes.

"You are my little lighting bolt as well." as I smiled at her as she said "I love you two mom."

She smiled and grabbed her work bag and said "I'll be back around 3."

"Ok." I said as before she left she said "I also want you do the laundry." as I jumped out my seat face her and said "Aha that's why your happy. You lied."

My mother smiled as she said "I also want them to be sorted in white and color." as I glare at her and asked "How could you."

My mother smiled as she said "Love you baby."

I narrowed my eyes and sat back down as I crossed my arms as the others chuckled at me.

"That is not funny." I told them as Thalia smiled and said "It kinda is."

"Anyway, we need to discuss something." Thalia said to me as I licked my finger which was covered in syrup and said "What ?"

"We need to talk about where were going from here ?"

"Ok what do you mean where were going from here ?" I asked Zoe.

"Well it's been three days now and really we haven't gone anywhere." Thalia said as I grimaced as Leona added

"We haven't we need to get going because who know how munch the Hunters and Artemis are suffering ."

"Your right we'll stay here for a couple more days and get moving next thing tomorrow." I told them.

"Yeah but what about the van ?" Alex chimed in.

The young daughter of Hades today wasn't wearing her usual black eye shadow and black eyeliner she had her normal face which I would say looks good without the goth eyeliner even though I always knew that Alex's was a totally emo.

"Yeah, the van is running low on gas and I think it's need a oil change." Alex told us as Phoenix said "Don't worry leave that to me."

"Ok so the van going to get fix and then where do we go from there ?" Nico asked us.

"Zoe ?" Thalia said turning to me along with the others.

I just took in a deep breath as Leona said "Your are the leader of this quest Zoe. What do we do ?"

"Crap." I said in my head. Chiron assigned me as leader for this quest since the beginning. I had to say I was leader quality. Chiron told me as the leader of the prophecy that I needed confidence, I needed to be honesty with the others and well let's me show you my new book coming out in 2022 "Zoe's Guide To Being A Good Leader."

I sighed as I knew that my decision was going to affect the the future of our quest and what we do next.

I rose my eyes at the others as I took in a breath as I began to take charge.

"For God snakes Zoe ! Your a Daughter of Zeus You Need To Take Care !

"Well-" I said as I made my way towards the front of the table as I pulled up one of my mom's work chair that look like the one a boss sits in.

"We all knew that were following Artemis's Trail." I said as Leona spoke up and said "Yes and we need to find her before the next eclipse."

"Eclipse ?" Henry said as I rose a brow as well as Thalia said "Yes, The Eclipse is a powerful time for both gods and goddess."

"What makes a Eclipse so important ?" Phoenix asked as Priscilla chimed in and said

"An Solar Eclipse is when a portion of the Earth is engulfed in a shadow cast by the Moon which fully or partially blocks sunlight. It's occurs when the Sun, Moon and Earth are aligned."

"Man you really do pay attention in class." Alex told her as she said "Yeah which means any demigod who get's there power from the moon and darkness are going to be more powerful than ever."

"So Kids of Hades, The Hunters of Artemis, And-"

"Hecate Kids." me and Priscilla said at the same time.

"Who know what will happen when that Eclipse comes. Heck, the Hecate Cabin will turn into gods."

"Spencer." I grumbled.

"Spencer's already advanced but wait till that Eclipse comes."

"We call it The Eclipse of The Moon." Thalia told me.

"So we need to find them before the Eclipse comes which mean we need to get ready."

"Phoenix can you get started on the van ?" I asked her as she tied up her hair and said "You can count on my Sparks."

"I need to try and get a hold of Spencer and see if she can help me with a spell."

"Ok, I'm going to try and get Spencer, Phoenix's and Alex's are going to work on the Van, Priscilla and Henry I need to you to go stack up on food, Nico, Thalia and Leona get the weapons ready."

"Alright then let's do this." Priscilla said....
