Chapter 36- Little Insight

"Nice to see you again Iroh. How was your days?" You asked the ex general.
"It was wonderful. If you consider spending days on this animal wonderful," He chuckled, making you snort as Zuko glared behind him.
"Uncle, stop talking to the criminal! She's nothing but trouble," You blew a raspberry at him.

You were still paralyzed, sitting on top of the shirshu named Nyla as it ran towards the Abbey. It crashed through as Nyla snarled.
"Now we wait for that other girl," June said as you tried to move.
"So, while we wait, Zuko, do you call me by 'criminal' all the time?" You asked him. He said nothing as Iroh chuckled.
"Of course he calls you (Y/N), but only when-,"
"I SAID STOP TALKING TO HER!!" Zuko shouted at his uncle, who simply smiled.

"No flirting on Nyla, that girl is coming," June interrupted. You then saw Katara and Sokka running into the Abbey, and stopping when they saw Zuko and June.
"Zuko," Sokka scowled, then Katara looked over his shoulder.
"(Y/N)!!" She shouted, making you smile.
"Hey, don't mind me, just... hanging around," You joked, then Nyla charged at Katara and Sokka.

The two tries to attack, but then got paralyzed by the shirshu's tongue.
"Where's the Avatar?" Zuko demanded.
"Long gone, we separated." Sokka told him.
"Oh come on! (Y- that criminal already said that!! Where. Is. He?" Zuko scowled at him.
"Hold on, Nyla is picking on another scent," June said as Nyla knocked over Sokka's back, sniffing the map Aang had. It sniffed the air and started to walk in circles.

"What's it doing? It's just going in a circle." Zuko said, making you realize that Aang was... above you? You were right as you then saw Aang flying straight down with his glider. It caused Nyla is too over and you falling onto the ground. You hissed in pain as you scraped against the ground. You felt a nun drag you to safety with Sokka and Katara.

June and Nyla charged at Aang, but Appa knocks down Nyla by leaping on the shirshu's side. Appa growls at June and Nyla. Zuko and Aang faced each other. Zuko firebends a blast at Aang, who stops it by spinning his staff. Aang then sends a blast of air at Zuko, who sidesteps it and sends a fire blast at Aang, who spins his staff to stop the blast. Aang sends an airbending blast at Zuko, who sidesteps it and sends another fire blast at Aang.

Aang jumps to avoid the blast. Zuko moves in closer to Aang and sends two fire blasts at Aang's head and feet. Aang throws his staff and both jump and duck at the blasts. Zuko punches and kicks at Aang, sending fire blasts at him. Aang avoids these blasts and sends an air blast at Zuko's head.

Zuko ducks and sends more fire blasts at Aang. Zuko and Aang both firebend and airbend, respectively, at each other at the same time, creating large explosion that forms a mushroom cloud. The shot changes to show Zuko and Aang fall on different roofs.

"You guys came back," You told them as you all watched the fight.
"(Y/N), I'm sorry for yelling. I didn't mean it, really," Sokka apologized.
"It's fine, you just didn't know the reason," You sighed and watched Iroh stealing a perfume bottle.
"I was only 8 at the time, and I lived in a village, near Ba Sing Se." You started as you all watched Zuko and Aang fight.

"It was after my father died,"

You slightly gasped as you were woken up by a loud noise. You sat up and looked out of your window, watching as you saw four hooded figures running by. You tilted your head as you threw off your blanket and got out of your bed. Grabbing your jacket, you snuck around your sister's room and your mom's as you slowly walked through the door and went outside.

You swiftly ran over to bid around a wall, peeking over to see the four figures breaking into a house.
'That's old lady Misuki's house.' You thought, sneaking over and holding a rock. You held onto the rock close as you walked inside the house, and heard rummaging from a room.
"Are you sure she has any goods?" A boy asked.
"Of course dude, she's loaded. Now hurry up before we get caught," Another boy said. That voices sounded familiar, and you peeked in and your eyes widen.

Is that... your brother?

"(B/N)?" Your brother turned around and his eyes widen.
"Shit, it's her. Let's go!" He yelled to his friends as he thrust his hand out and fire came out of his palms. You quickly ducked as the four of them jumped out of the window.
"What? Why did he do that?" You wondered, then heard yelling from the other room. You ran in to see old lady Misuki holding her head, they maybe attacked her.
"Old lady Misuki!" You said in shock.

"Don't hurt me! Please!" Old lady Misuki pleaded as she covered herself with her arms.
"I won't! Those bad men ran off! I'll help you," You tried to say and reached over to her, but she whimpered.
"Please! Don't!" She yelled. Just then, men ran in, the authority of this village.
"Halt! You stay away from that woman!" One shouted.
"Wait! I didn't hurt her! There were four men! One of my brother! He tried to hurt this lady!" You tried to plead for them, but they didn't listen.

"Nice try, but there were reports of other break ins. You're caught red handed kid," A man scowled as he grabbed your hand and pulled you.
"Wait! You have to believe me!" You shouted, trying to take his arm off of you. People surrounded the outside, talking and whispering as you saw your family. Your mom, sister, and your brother. He just stared at you, and a small smile formed on his lips, making your eyes widen.

You were placed in front of the leader of your town. And she stared down at you.
"(Y/N) (L/N). You are committed of breaking and entering multiple houses, and assaulting a civilian, how do you plead?" She asked you.
"Not guilty! I swear I would never hurt anyone!" You cried out.
"Unlikely story. There were witnesses of your attacks, four bystanders come to the stage,"

The four 'bystanders' were your brother and his friends. They said that you hurt old lady Misuki. And the leader nodded.

"For these crimes (Y/N), you are hereby banished from this village. Leave, and never come back," She stated. You started to cry as you looked back at your family, wanting them to speak up. But they just stared, (S/N) looking away in shame, and you mother staring at the ground, tears running down her face. You said nothing as you wiped your tears away, and stood up to walk off away from the village. Not even bothering to pack anything.

Nothing but yourself now. As it should've been.

"I'm sorry to hear that, that's must've been awful," Katara said with a sympathetic look.
"Don't be, it's in the past. Now, we need to help air boy," You said, finally moving your legs and standing up weakly. You helped Sokka and Katara, as a nun made you sniff a perfume, making you stand up fully.
"That thing sees with its nose. Let's give him something to look at." Sokka explained.

You, the nuns, and Sokka pushed the pots full of perfume. Katara waterbends the perfume into the air and pours it on Nyla. Nyla started to freak out with the amount of smells it has, and started to strike its tongue everywhere, hitting Zuko and June. You all started to run for Appa as you saw Twig running out of the woods.

"Twig, let's go!" You whistled, and he came jumping on your shoulder. Appa flew off as you gave Zuko and Iroh one last wave you all took off into the sky.
"So, where do we go?" Aang asked.
"We're getting you to the North Pole." Katara smiled.
"Yeah, we've lost too much time as it is." Sokka said.
"Don't you want to see your father?" Aang asked looking back at them.
"Of course we do, Aang. But, you're our family, too. And right now, you need us more." Sokka smiled.

"That goes the same for you too (Y/N)," You looked at him, then smiled softly.
"Thanks boomerang," You said as Momo and Twig played with each other.
"I wish I could give you a little piece of home, Katara. Something to remind you," Aang mumbled, looking kinda sus.
"I'll be okay." Katara said.
"Still, just a little trinket. Maybe something like... this?" Aang then held up her necklace.

"Aang, how'd you get that?" Katara asked with happiness. You liked it when she smiled and gets all happy- wait what?
"Zuko asked me to be sure I got it to you." Aang grinned mischievously.
"I knew that hot head still has a heart, can you give him something to him when you see him again?" You asked the Avatar with a smile.

"What is it?" You kissed kissed his cheek and patted it, leaning against the saddle. Aang then blushed hard and fumbled with his fingers.

Not knowing that the siblings looked on with jealousy.
