Chapter 34- Bout to Choke Slam Long Feng

"I'm naming you Pebble, and you Moss, and you Little Seed, and you-"
"Are you just naming them after things that are found in earth?" Your sister asked as you were petting each Tiger Monkey, Twig on your head.

"Yep," You smiled as Aang petted Appa with comfort. Sokka gave you a smile and ruffled your hair as he stood up.
"Look, we escaped from the Dai Li. We got Appa back. I'm telling you, we should go to the Earth King now and tell him our plan. We're on a roll," Sokka told you all.

"One good hour after weeks of trouble isn't much of a roll," Katara said, unsure.
"We can build on it. If we want to invade the Fire Nation when the eclipse happens, we'll need the Earth King's support," He explained.

"What makes you think we'll get it? I don't know if you've noticed, but things don't usually go that smoothly for our little gang," Toph grumbled.
"How bad does things usually go for you?" Your sister asked you.
"To the point of death," You said nonchalantly, which made her have a horrified look.

"I know, but I've got a good feeling about this. This time will be different," Sokka said assuringly.
"Sokka, Long Feng is in control of the city. His conspiracy with the Dai Li is too powerful. I think we should just keep flying and leave this horrible place behind us," Katara sternly said.

"I'm with Sweetness. I've seen enough of Ba Sing Se. And I can't even see!" Toph exclaimed in annoyance.
"I can't really go back now, considering that I've been part of this fight, they'll arrest our mom and I," Your sister said and he clutched her bow.

"Good point," You said.
"But now that we have Appa back, there's nothing stopping us from telling the Earth King the truth. About the conspiracy and the War," Aang said assuringly.
"See? Aang's with me. It's the whole reason we came here in the first place, we have to try," Sokka smiled.

"Well, I guess if the Earth King knew the truth, things could change," Katara mumbled, and Toph stood up.
"I don't trust the new positive Sokka. Long Feng brainwashed you, didn't he!?" She accused, making you snort.

From the water, ships were sailing around the island.y
"That's probably the Dai Li searching for us," You said said as Twig hissed lowly, making the colony hiss too.
"Water girl?" You turned to Katara, who gave a nod and a determined smile.

"Let's fly!"

Your sister yelped in fear as Appa flew through the sky quickly to Ba Sing Se.
"Can we please buy a new saddle? Riding bareback is terrifying!" Toph shouted as you held her close so she won't let go.
"There it is! That whole thing is the palace! The Earth King's chamber should be in the center!" Sokka yelled and pointed at the big palace.

"We have to be careful. Long Feng's probably warned the king that we're coming," Katara said, still unsure about this whole thing.
"Why would you assume that? If you ask me, I think we're just gonna sail right in and-" Before Sokka could finish the sentence, Appa spun to dodge a flying rock.

"Oh Roku!" You shouted as Appa kept on dodging boulders caused by the soldiers. One boulder was about to hit you all, but Aang calmly made it explode, making you watch in awe.
"That's kinda hot..." You mumbled, making Sokka look at you with jealousy, which made you give a little grin at him.

As soon as Appa landed, Aang took down the entire front defense, and you all started to run inside. Lifting your arms up, lava shot out of the ground, and it prevents a lot of soldiers from advancing. Your sister shot arrows at each soldier as Toph made the stairway into a slide, making the soldiers fall.

Bending a giant block of earth, you, Toph, and Aang lifted up yourselves up to the entrance.
"Tophy, which way to the Earth King?" You asked your rock buddy as she knocked some soldiers down.
"How should I know? I'm still voting we leave Ba Sing Se," She retorted, and you all started to open doors.

After basically destroying the inside of the palace, Sokka climbed over some rubble and saw a very fancy door.
"Now that's an impressive door. It's gotta go somewhere," He said, and tried to open it, but you just used your bending to smash it open.

Running in, you five (including your sister) charged in, weapons and bending out to attack as Long Feng ordered the Dai Li to get ready to fight.
"We need to talk to you," Aang told the Earth king.

"They're here to overthrow you," Long Feng whispered to the king.
"Royalty is overrated," You scoffed.
"No, we're on your side. We're here to help," Sokka reassured him.
"You have to trust us," Katara pleaded.

"You invade my palace, lay waste to all my guards, break down my fancy door, and you expect me to trust you?" The king demanded angrily.
"I mean, it was a fancy door," You mumbled, making your sister to nudge you.

"If you are on my side, then drop your weapons and stand down!" He commands, and you all hesitantly dropped your guard. Then, along Feng made the Dai Li trap you all in cuffs.
"Detain the assailants," He demanded.

"But we dropped our weapons, we're your allies," Sokka pleaded with them.
"Make sure the Avatar and his friends never see daylight again," Long Feng told them, which made the king confused.
"The Avatar? You're the Avatar?" He asked in shock.
"Uh, no, him," Sokka titled his head towards Aang, who greeted him by removing the cuffs and back.

"What does it matter, Your Highness? They're enemies of the state," Long Feng told the king, who hesitantly nodded.
"Perhaps you're right," He said, but then the bear walked up to Aang and licked his face.
"Though Bosco seems to like him. I'll hear what he has to say," He smiled softly, which made Long Feng glare at you all.

"Well, sir, there's a war going on right now. For the past one hundred years in fact. The Dai Li's kept it secret from you. It's a conspiracy to control the city, and to control you," Aang explained, which made the king be shocked.
"A secret war? That's crazy!" He exclaimed, and the advisor nodded.
"Completely," He simply said.

"Long Feng didn't want us to tell you, so he stole our sky bison to blackmail us. And blackmail is the least of his crimes; he brainwashed our friend!" He pointed at Long Feng, who turned to the king.
"All lies. I've never even seen a sky bison, Your Majesty. Frankly, I thought they were extinct," He said nonchalantly.

"Your claim is difficult to believe. Even from an Avatar," The king mumbled, and then Long Feng mumbled something in his ear, making him nod and look at the Gaang.
"I have to trust my advisor," He simply said, making you scowl and take a step forward.

"Your advisor is nothing but a no good, slimy, manipulative, insane, dirty, son of a bi-!!" One of the agents covered your mouth with rocks as they pulled you away, which made the gaang angry.

"Wait!" Sokka suddenly said and turn to the king.
"I can prove he's lying. Long Feng said he's never seen a sky bison. Ask him to lift his robe!" He exclaimed, which made Long Feng stare in him.
"What? I am not disrobing!" He scoffed, but then Aang blew a big gust of wind and his robe was lifted to reveal a bite mark.

"Right there! Appa bit him!" You said, grinning
"Never met a sky bison, huh?" Sokka raised and eyebrow.

"That happens to be a large birth mark. Thanks for showing everyone," Long Feng grumbled.
"Well I suppose there's no way to prove where those marks came from," The king trailed off, but Aang stood up.

"Of course there is!"

Twig and the colony all ran around while playing with Bosco, and Appa opened his mouth to reveal the identical marks.

"Yup. That pretty much proves it,"

You all cheered.

"But it doesn't prove this crazy conspiracy theory,"

You all groaned.

"Though, I suppose this matter's worth looking into,"

You all mumbled an agreement.

"Bet, let's go!"

Twig paws at your hand as everyone in the train stared at the king, who stood there awkwardly.
"So this is what a train is like? I didn't realize it would be this... public," He mumbled, a little amazed at his surroundings.

"So you've never been outside the Upper Ring before?" Katara asked him.
"I've never been outside the palace," He said while looking at everything.

"Now that's the way to travel," He smiled while looking at Aang flying with Appa.
"So, may I ask where we're going?" The king asked.
"Underneath Lake Laogai, Your Kingliness. To the Dai Li's secret headquarters," Sokka told him.

"You're about to see where all the brainwashing and conspiring took place,"
