Chapter 25- Oh No, Confrontation
"Line up for the Warden!" A guard shouted as the prisoners stood in line.
"Let's go!" You whispered to Sokka, pushing some guards to get on front.
"Excuse me, coming through. The warden wants us over there," Sokka excused yourselves and pushed through people.
The Warden walked pass the prisoners, holding a condescending smirk.
"Welcome to the Boiling Rock. I'm sure you've all heard the horrible rumors about our little island. Well, I just want to tell you that they don't have to be true, as long as you do everything I say," He told the prisoners, stopping in front of Hakoda.
"Look me in the eye when I'm talking to you," He snarled.
"No," Hakoda simply said.
"Oh? You'd rather look at my shoes? Then take a look!" The Warden then kicked him down so he was kneeling. Sokka gripped your hand as you held him back.
"Back off," Your mother then hissed at the man, who simply smirked at her.
"Oh don't worry doll, I'll handle you with care." He took a step and was face to face with your mom, who didn't back down and glared at the man.
"Very, special care," You furrowed your eyebrows at his acting towards her, but you had to back down.
The Warden then had his attention back to Hakoda.
"I know exactly who you are, Hakoda of the Water Tribe. So strong-willed. But don't worry, we'll get rid of that in time. Now look me in the eye!" He shouted, and slowly, Hakoda looked up at him with a dirty look.
"See, isn't that better? You will all do as I say or pay the price. You will all-" Hakoda then tripped the Warden, making you, Sokka, and your mother to laugh a little.
"Are you okay, sir?" A guard asked him, who hugged in anger
"I'm fine! Get these prisoners out of my sight!" He shouted.
You then nudged Sokka and turned to him.
"Go to see dad, I'll go to see my mom,"

Separating from Sokka, you snuck around the prison hallway and found your mother's cell.
"Bingo bongo," You smiled. You slid the door open, and shut it so no one would see you two.
"I hope the warden didn't hurt you, or else I would've k- ack!" As you turned around, you felt a hand grab your neck and pinned you against the metal door.
"And I hope this is not a tactic to scare me, or else you'll come out of here in a crisp," Your mother threatened, a dark tone made you feel fear for a moment.
"H-hey, mom it's okay! It's me! Don't hurt me please!" You stammered, pulling your helmet off and showing her your face. She gasped, letting go of you and taking a step back.
"(Y/N)? How are you-?" She started
"I came here to bust you out, along with Sokka's dad and Suki," You coughed out, leading your throat. As you stood up straight again, you felt your mom's arms wrapped around you as she pulled you into a hug.
"Oh honey, I'm so sorry for having to leave," She whispered, kissing you on the forehead.
"It's fine. The good news is, we're getting you and Hakoda out of here," You said with a determined grin.
"I hope so, they took the others in regular prisons, Hakoda and I were sent here since we were leaders," Your mother told you.
"Though, I met some girls who said they knew you," She said, making you perk up.
"Kyoshi Warriors I believe," You beamed and nodded excitedly.
"I knew them! I'm dating their le- I mean... whaaaaaat?" You suddenly stammered, looking away in embarrassment.
"(Y/N), if you're thinking that I won't approve, I dated some women back at my younger days," Your mother laughed, making you sigh in relief.
"Oh, we also have Prince Zuko here. He's on our side now, so we have the upper hand," You told her as she sat down on her bed.
"We need all the help we can get. Now, you go now and find a way out, help your friends," You mother kissed your forehead one more time before you nodded and left the cell, turning the corner to see Sokka walking out of his father's cell.
You both nodded and walked together to Zuko's cell, and knocked on it softly.
"Princey, you still alive?" You whispered.
"I'm here," He said.
"I just got done talking to my dad. We came up with an escape plan together," Sokka told him.
"What are you doing here?" You both jumped at the voice of a guard, and you turn to face the two guards walking up to you.
"We're was just telling this dirty lowlife what we think of him!" Sokka answered quickly.
"Well, you'll have to do that later. He's coming with us," The guard explained.
"Why?" You asked, a little worried.
"Because we have orders straight from the warden, that's why!" The female guard hissed.
"Could we just get ten more seconds to rough him up a bit?" Sokka smiled while having his fist in his other hand.
"Fine, ten seconds," The guard sighed as you opened the door and pretended to fight Zuko. Zuko held a pillow as Sokka punched it.
"We have a new plan, but it's gonna need a big distraction. Be in the yard in one hour," He said as the door opened again, and he quickly had Zuko in a headlock, and you quickly punched him in the stomach.
"Alright, that's enough," The guards pulled Zuko off and he winced at the impact of your punch.
"That looked personal," Sokka whispered.
"It was," You whispered back, making him gulp slightly.
"And you," You froze as the female guard pointed at you.
"Follow us," You and Sokka looked at each other, before you took a deep breath and followed.
"See you in the courtyard,"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What are you doing? Where are you taking me?" Zuko demanded as you held his hands bending his back.
"In here," The female guard pointed to a room, and they opened it to let you push Zuko inside.
"I didn't do anything wrong!" He shouted.
"Come on, Zuko. We all know that's a lie,"
Oh for the sake of Roku.
You froze at the voice of Mai, glaring down at Zuko, and you swore she squinted her eyes at you.
"How did you know I was here?" Zuko asked her, and you quickly stood at the side, pretending to not listen.
"Because I know you so well," She said.
"But, how-"
"The warden's my uncle, you idiot," Mai rolled her eyes, making you silently chuckle.
"The truth is, I guess I don't know you. All I get is a letter? You could have least looked me in the eye when you ripped out my heart like (Y/N) did," Mai held out a letter, which made your turn your head slightly.
"I didn't mean to-"
"You didn't mean to? "Dear Mai, I'm sorry you that you have to find out this way, but I'm leaving."," She read out, which made your eyes widen slightly.
'Oh man, he pulled a (Y/N),' You thought,
"Stop! This isn't about you. This is about the Fire Nation!" Zuko yelled slightly.
"Thanks Zuko, that makes me feel all better. Not only (Y/N) left us, but you decided to leave too. I bet you left to find her, and if she was here, then I would let her have it too. A little more lenient though," You winced at the conversation.
"Mai, I never wanted to hurt you. But I have to do this to save my country," Zuko sighed.
"Save it? You're betraying your country!" Mai glared at him.
"That's not how I see it," He simply said. You wanted to say something, but Mai doesn't know that you're actually here, but suddenly a guard walked inside the cell.
"Ma'am, there's a riot going on! I'm here to protect you!" He explained, but Mai just crossed her arms.
"I don't need any protection," She scoffed.
"Believe me, she doesn't," Zuko chuckled, and you snorted a little.
"I'm sorry, but I'm under direct orders from your uncle to make sure nothing happens," The guard grabbed her arm, but you instinctively ran over to them.
"You let her go!" You scowled and grabbed his arm, throwing him over your shoulder and onto the ground.
Zuko quickly sent a fire blast at the guards and you lifted Mai up, and sat her on the chair. You lifted your helmet off your of head and shyly smiled at her.
"Hi Shooting Star," You said, and her eyes widen at the sight of you.
"(Y/N)!" You just kept her sitting down as Zuko fought with the guard.
"I'm sorry Mai," You dig into your pocket, and grabbed her hand to place two rings in it.
"Give one to Ty Lee, and whatever happens," You gave her a kiss on the cheek and quickly hopped out of the cell as Zuko closed it.
"Remember I'll still love you, even if you hate me!"
