Chapter 25
Chapter 25- That Drill Ain't As Big As My Di-
"You know, even though I've never went to Ba Sing Se before, I don't remember seeing a giant metal drill," You pondered as the Gaang were traveling up a hill to make it to Ba Sing Se, but you stopped as Aang flew back to you all and warned you guys about the drill.
Everyone made it to the top of the wall and spotted the giant drill with the Fire Nation symbol.
"What are you people doing here? Civilians aren't allowed on the wall!" A earthbender soldier demanded.
"I'm the Avatar. Take me to whoever is in charge,"

The soldiers led you and the Gaang to the general of the walls, who calmly sat at his desk.
"It is an honor to welcome you to the Outer Wall, young Avatar, but your help is not needed," The general simply said.
"Not needed?" You titled your head,"
"Not needed. I have the situation under control. I assure you the Fire Nation cannot penetrate this wall. Many have tried to break through it, but none have succeeded," The general explained as he showed the Gaang the wall weaponry.
"What about the Dragon of the West? He got in," At Toph's words, you immediately thought of Iroh, who you knew was the one who nearly took over Ba Sing Se, but unfortunately, a tragedy struck.
"Well ... uh, technically yes, but he was quickly expunged," The general stammered, making you cough to cover a laugh, making Sokka look at you in confusion.
"Nevertheless, that is why the city is named Ba Sing Se. It's the "impenetrable city". They don't call it Na Sing Se," The man laughed, but then looked serious.
"That means "penetrable city."," You rolled your eyes at his joke, and crossed your arms.
"Yeah, thanks for the tour, but we still got the drill problem," Toph argued.
"Not for long. To stop it, I've sent an elite platoon of earthbenders called the Terra Team," The general smiled.
"That's a good group name. Very catchy," Sokka said, making you nod in agreement.
You all watched as the Terra Team used their bending to trap the drill with the earth, however the drill broke apart to continue, and then three people hopped out of the drill. You couldn't really see who they were, but you could see fire coming from one person and the other are taking down each soldier, and another throwing daggers.
"We're doomed!" The general yelled in a panic seeing his soldiers be taken down so easily. Then, Sokka slapped him across the face.
"Get a hold of yourself, man!" He scolded the older man, who rubbed his cheek.
"You're right. I'm sorry," He coughed.
"Maybe you'd like the Avatar's help now?" You grinned, and he meekly nodded.
"Yes, please," He bowed his head.
"The question is, how are we going to stop that thing?" Aang wondered, and you instantly turned to Sokka, who noticed the sudden attention.
"Why are you all looking at me?" He asked suspiciously.
"You're the idea guy," Aang pointed out.
"So I'm the only one who can ever come up with a plan? That's a lot of pressure," Sokka argued and Katara raised an eyebrow.
"And also the complaining guy," She said, making you snicker.
"That part I don't mind," Sokka nodded, and you all went into a healing chamber with the Terra Team.
"What's wrong with him? He doesn't look injured," The general asked with Katara healing one soldier.
"His chi is blocked. Who did this to you?" She asked the man.
"Two girls and a boy ambushed us. One of them hit me with a bunch of quick jabs and suddenly I couldn't earthbend anymore and I could barely move. Then she cartwheeled away," He explained, and you and Katara made eye contact, and your eyes widen a little.
"Ty Lee! She doesn't look dangerous, but she knows the human body and its weak points. It's like she takes you down from the inside," You slightly blushed at your own words, but thankfully no one noticed. Suddenly, Sokka waved his hands around.
"Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh! Ooh!" He said excitedly.
"What's up Boomerang?" You asked, amused by his antics.
"What you just said! That's how we're going to take down the drill! The same way Ty Lee took down all those big earthbenders!" Sokka explained and pointed at the drills.
"By hitting its pressure points!" Toph grinned and you smiled.
"We'll take it down from the inside,"

Soon, you and the Gaang were in front of the walls and hidden in a trench.
"Once we whip up some cover, you're not going to be able to see. So, stay close. Ready Loud Mouth?" Toph asked as you nodded. You both jumped up and smashed boulders together, amusing huge dust clouds to appear.
"Come on!" You shouted and you all ran forward into the dust cloud. Running through the dust, Toph opened a hole underground.
"Everyone into the hole!" She said and you all jumped in, the hole closing and all you saw was nothing.
"It's so dark down here, I can't see a thing!" You heard Sokka complain.
"Oh no, what a nightmare!" Toph sarcastically said as you snorted at that.
"Sorry," He coughed as you all dug your way underneath the drill and spotted a opening.
Aang jumped inside and helped everyone else to get in, but you noticed Toph standing there.
"Let's go Tophy," You reached for her, but she shook her head.
"No way am I going in that metal monster. I can't bend in there. I'll try to slow it down out here," She pointed to the walls, making you hesitantly nod.
"Be careful!" You said before climbing inside. The four of you walked around through a pipe room, searching for a door.
"I need a plan of this machine. Some schematics that show what the inside looks like. Then we can find its weak points," Sokka explained.
"Where are we going to get something like that?" Aang asked, and then Sokka started to bash a pipe with his machete.
"What are you doing? Someone's going to hear us!" Aang panicked, but Sokka just grinned.
"That's the point. I figure a machine this big needs engineers to run it. And when something breaks..." He trailed off.
"They come to fix it!" Katara smiled. You all hide in the mist as someone came in to fix the pipe, but then Katara used the mist to freeze the man. Sokka took the scroll in his hands and spread it out.
"It looks like the drill is made up of two main structures. There's the inner mechanism where we are now and the outer shell. The inner part and the outer part are connected by these braces. If we cut through them, the entire thing will collapse," He explained while pointing at some structures.
Running through the halls, you felt like you were back in one of Zhao's ships, making you shiver and get closer to the Gaang.
"Wow, it looks a lot thicker in person than it does in the plans. We're going to have to work pretty hard to cut through that," Sokka said as you stopped at a metal beam.
"What's this "we" stuff? Aang, (Y/N) and I are going to have to do all the work," Katara raised an eyebrow.
Look, I'm the plan guy. You three are the cut stuff up with waterbending and Lavabending guys. Together, we're Team Avatar!" You rolled your eyes but agreed with the plan, taking out some rocks and turning it into lava. Aang and Katara started to cut the beam with water on one side, and you started to saw through on the other side.
You weren't used to cut things metal, since you knew it would probably fused together, but it was worth a shot. After what felt like hours, you, Aang, and Katara were exhausted and the beam slid down for only a few inches, not fully breaking it.
"At this rate, we won't do enough damage before the drill reaches the wall," Katara groaned.
"I don't know how many more of those I have in me," Aang panted.
"Even new moves I learned isn't going to break it through," You sighed, but then the drill started to creak loudly.
"Do you hear that? We took it down! We better get out of here fast!" Sokka shouted and you started to run, but then the intercom was heard.
"Congratulations, crew. The drill has made contact with the wall of Ba Sing Se," You froze, and you four looked at each other in disbelief.
"Start the countdown to victory!"
