Chapter 24- Time To Get My Ex-ex Girlfriend Back

"Honey...?" Suki yawned softly as she heard shuffling next to her, sitting up straight and rubbing her eyes.
"What's wrong?... (Y/N)?" Suki opened her eyes to see you laying down, asleep, but you were shifting around, and shaking too.
"Wha..." It wasn't until she saw your tears forming that she knew you weren't just having a dream.

Suki realized what was happening and noticed the small cries from your sleeping form, so she immediately got into action.
"(Y/N)! Wake up! It's a dream, you're dreaming honey!" Suki frantically said as she grabbed the sides of your arms to wake you up, which made you snap your eyes open and fear filled your eyes.

"P-please no! Don't! Zhao no!" You sobbed, trying to push Suki away as she gently placed her hand on your face.
"(Y/N)! You're not back with Zhao! It's not happening again, trust me!" Suki hushed you softly as you slowly stopped struggling. You were back at Kyoshi Island, you weren't at Zhao's ship, you weren't in his bed, you're in Suki's.

Gasping for air, you continued to cry as your girlfriend pulled you closer.
"Shh, Shh, it's okay... I'm here," She cooed softly, scooting back a little to let you have your space, where you took a deep breath and hiccuped from the crying. Twig purred in sadness as he was also woken up from you, and he rubbed his head against you.

"It was about that night... wasn't it?" She mumbled after a long moment of silence, and you sniffed slightly, hugging yourself.
"I-... I tried to fight, Suki... I really did," You choked out, and Suki gave you a nod, wanting you to pour out how you feel.

"Every time I fall asleep, I dream about being back on the ship, in his room... I'm scared of that one day... it won't be a dream, that I'm actually back..." You started to shake again, and you let the tears fall again.

"I don't want to go back to him, please don't let me go back Suki," You tried to take breaths again, and you felt someone on your arm.

"Look at me (Y/N)," You heard Suki softly say, and you lifted your head up to see her giving you the softest look you've ever seen, and a smile on her face as she pulled you close.

"I'll never let you go back to that man, what he did will never be forgiven. And if I ever see him, I'll kill him," You choked out a laugh as she softly giggled, and placed a hand under your chin.

"Right now, you're here. On my bed, in my arms. I'll be the one who will drive those dreams away, I promise," She leaned in, and you gulped softly, but she stopped.
"May I? I don't want you to feel like you're back, honey," Suki whispered, and you shook your head.

"I don't mind at all," And with that, she pressed her lips onto yours, which made you close your eyes and wrap your arms around her neck. Twig watched as he pretended to gag, but purred happily that you're okay.

You two eventually pulled away, and she pulled you closer to her, falling back on the bed as you buried your head against her neck.
"Never knew that you would be a little spoon," She joked slightly, making you hum into her neck, which caused her to shiver a little.

"I love you, Suki," You whispered to her, and she paused for a moment, never hearing that from you, and she smiled, kissing your forehead and snuggling closer to you.

"I love you too, (Y/N),"

"We have to be subtle, yet right to the point to her, got it Boomerang?" You told the boy as you both ran through the hallway.
"Pshh, I'm a master of being subtle," Sokka smirked, making you roll your eyes, but smile anyways.

Peaking to the room she was in, you both opened the door and walked inside, making Suki sit up.
"What is it? Did I do something wrong?" She asked you both, not recognizing you two.
"You mean you don't recognize us?" You raised an eyebrow and crossed your arms.

"You people all look the same to me," She spat out angrily.
"Oh? Then maybe you'll recognize this," Sokka smirked and tried to lean in for a kiss, but then Suki grabbed his chin and pushed him away, kicking him towards the door.

"You are very bad at doing things smooth, Boomerang," You laughed and took off your helmet, turning to Suki, smiling at her shock face.
"(Y/N)! Sokka!" She beamed, tackling you both and giving you kisses on the cheek.

"The other Kyoshi Warriors, are they here?" You asked her as she pulled away.
"No, I don't know where they are. They locked me in here because I'm the leader," Suki shook her head.
"Well, you won't be here for long. We're busting you out," Sokka told her.

"I'm so glad to see you two. I knew you'd come," You smiled at her as Sokka nudged you to take out the gift.
"That's reminds me, we got a little gift. A symbol for our relationship," You took out the ring you made her and raised her hand to slide it on her finger.

"It's beautiful," Suki cooed, and kissed you on the lips, and Sokka kissing your cheek. Just then, you heard Zuko talking to another guard, and then they started to struggle.
"We have to go," You whispered to Sokka, and you both out on your helmets and opened the door quietly and quickly.

You and Sokka tried to sneak away, but then you heard the female guard shout for you.
"Guards, help! I think he's an impostor! (If I see one more among us reference, I'm going to attack people) Arrest him!" She shouted, struggling against Zuko's grip.

"Get him off me and arrest him!" She shouted again, and you both looked at each other before you ran and grabbed Zuko, throwing him off of the guard.
"You're under arrest!" Sokka yelled, and you pushed Zuko against the wall.
"Don't worry, I'll figure it out," You whispered to him, and he just nodded.

'I mean, I don't mind you manhandling me, (Y/N),'

"They're over there," You pointed over the stairs, and you and Sokka walked over to Suki and Zuko, where they were mopping.
"Oh, good, you guys have met," Sokka said.
"Actually, we met a long time ago," Suki commented.

"We did?" Zuko asked her.
"Yeah, you kind of burned down my village, and tried to force my girlfriend into marrying you," She bluntly to him, making Sokka face palm and you rubbing your neck.

"Oh... sorry about that. Nice to see you again," Zuko smiled anyways.
"So, listen, I think we have an escape plan. I checked out the coolers again, and the point of them is to keep firebenders contained, right?" Sokka told you guys.

"Yeah..." You nodded as you leaned against the wall.
"So, they're completely insulated and sealed to keep the cold in. Well, to keep the cold in, it also has to keep the heat out, right?" Sokka smiled.
"Just get to the point, Sokka," Suki told him.

"It's a perfect boat for getting through the boiling water," He raised his arms a little.
"The cooler as a boat? Are you sure?" Zuko asked as he and Suki looked at each other.

"We're positive! We walked around the perimeter. There's a blind spot between two guard towers. It's the perfect launching point. We already tested it out. We'll roll the cooler into the water and just float with the current. It'll take us straight across. As long as we don't make a sound, no one will notice. And boom! We're home free," You beamed brightly.

"But how are you going to get the cooler out?" Suki asked you two, and you all froze at a new voice.
"Yeah, how are you going to get the cooler out?" Chit Sang asked as he hopped over the stairs and sat down.
"What? We didn't... w-we didn't say that," Sokka stammered.

"Yeah, you heard wrong," Zuko glared at the man.
"I heard you hatching an escape plan, and I want in.
"There's nothing to get in on," You quickly answered back.
"Yeah, the only thing we're hatching is... an egg?" Sokka nervously smiled.

You three groaned at his words, and you turned to Suki.
"This is the man we fell in love with," You sighed, making him whine.
"Okay, well, I come with you or the warden hears about this egg, too," Chit Aang raised an eyebrow.

"I guess we have no choice," Suki turned to the others
"Okay, you're in. Now first we need someone to unbolt the cooler, from the inside," Sokka gave Zuko a wrench he smuggled in.

"Oh, I can get you inside,"

Zuko and Chit Sang acted to be in a fight, causing Zuko to Firebend and getting into the cooler. As the hours passed by, Sokka went to get Zuko as you got Suki and Chit Sang out of their cells, along with other prisoners Chit Sang knew.

Waiting at the shores, Suki held your hand as Zuko and Sokka rolled down with the cooler, and you three helped him.
"Took you guys long enough. This here's my girl and my best buddy, they're coming too," Chit Sang explained.

"Fine. Everybody in the cooler. Let's go," Sokka told everyone and pushed the cooler on the water. You noticed Sokka not hopping on the boys and grabbed his space sword.
"Are you sure you wanna go? You're the one who said you wanted to redeem yourself. Redeem your honor. Rescuing your dad is your chance," Zuko asked him.

"Your dad?" Suki said in shock.
"You're going to do this without telling us?" You said in a slight hurt tone.
"If I had just cut my losses at the invasion, maybe we wouldn't be in this mess. Maybe sometimes it's just better to call it quits before you fail," Sokka explained.

"No, it's not. Look Sokka, you're going to fail a lot before things work out," Zuko told him.
"That supposed to make me feel better?" Sokka raised an eyebrow.
"Even though you'll probably fail over and over and over again," He gripped his shoulder.
"Seriously, not helping," Sokka sighed.

"You have to try every time. You can't quit because you're afraid you might fail," Zuko sternly said.
"Hey, if you two are done cuddling, can we get a move on?" Chit Sang interrupted the boys. You looked over to Sokka and he took a deep breath.
"No. I'm staying. You guys go. You've been here long enough," Sokka said to Sukiz

"I'm not leaving without you, Sokka," She said.
"I'm staying, too," Zuko nodded.
"We promised each other that we're not going to lose each other again, and I'm keeping that promise," You grinned.
"Not me, I'm out. Let's roll, baby," Chit Sang pushed the cooler and hopped in, sailing away.

"We gave up our only chance of escaping. I hope we haven't just made a huge mistake,"

You four hid behind a wall as the gondola started to lift down with prisoners.
"This is it. If our parents not there, we've risked everything for nothing," You mumbled, and Suki and Sokka placed a hand on your shoulders
"We had to," Suki reassured you.

The gondola opened the doors and a man walked out.
"Is that your dad?" Zuko asked.
"My dad doesn't have a nose ring. Where is he?" Sokka said as more prisoners walked out, and you waited to see a woman, anyone who resembles your mother, but no one.

"That's it? That can't be it," Sokka said in disbelief as you looked down in sadness.
"I'm sorry, guys," Suki mumbled, and you and Sokka hugged each other.
"Hey, you two! Get off the gondola!" You heard a guard shout, and you both turn to see two people walking out. A man and a woman.

"Dad!"

"Mom!"
