Chapter 19
Chapter 19- Water Scroll
"Well, well. Look who's come to their senses. Told you the haggling would pay off." Aang winked, but then a bunch of pirates jumped off the boat, glaring at you guys.
"I don't think these pirates are here to trade with us," Katara said, starting to run. You three followed behind as the pirates chase behind you.
You turned the corner as Katara froze a puddle in the streets. You looked behind and rose rock stumps so they would trip. In front of you, you saw a familiar cabbage man, and you ran pass him.
"My cabbages!" You heard him yell, making you laugh.
Then more pirates jump out of another street and started to chase you four. You ended up in a dead end as the pirates started to advance.
"Now, who gets to taste the steel of my blade first?" A pirate said with his blades out and ready.
"No thanks," Aang said as he spun and hurls a blast of air at the pirates that send them backward, and he started to tun towards them with his glider out.
"Grab on tight!" He shouted.
"I thought we were running away from the pirates!" You said as you held onto the glider tight, Sokka and Katara did too.
"Just hang on!" Aang reassured you three as he flies over the pirates' heads and outside the village.
'Well, that was fun,'

You laid on the ground as you and the gaang made back to the waterfall.
"I used to kind of look up to pirates, but those guys are terrible." Aang said.
"I know, that's why I took this," Katara grinned and took out the water scroll.
"I knew it," You smiled at her mischievous action.
"No wonder they were trying to hack us up! You stole their waterbending scroll!" Sokka whined.
"I prefer to think of it as high risk trading." She joked, making breath out a laugh.
"Sokka, where do you think they got it? They stole it from a waterbender!" She argued with her brother.
"It doesn't matter. You put all of our lives in danger just so you could learn some stupid, fancy splashes." He argued back.
"These are real waterbending forms. You know how crucial it is for Aang to learn waterbending!" She explained holding the scroll.
"Whatever," Sokka scoffed as he walked away. You just gave her thumbs up as you sat down near a tree with Twig.
"I just want to try this one move first and then it's all yours." She said as Aang held up the scroll.
"The single water whip. Looks doable." She attempted the move, but ended up hitting herself in the forehead.
"Ow!" She groaned, making Sokka laugh.
"What's so funny?" Katara said a little irritated.
"I'm sorry, but you deserved that." Sokka chuckled.
"You've been duped, she's only interested in teaching herself." He said to Aang.
"Come on Boomerang, let her have her fun," You retorted.
"Aang will get his turn once I figure out the water whip." She sighed. She tried again, but it hits Momo instead, who screeches.
"Ugh, why can't I get this stupid move?" She groaned in frustration.
"You'll get it. You just gotta shift your weight through the stances," Aang said as he tried and does it perfectly on the first try.
"There, see, the key to bending is-" He got cut off by Katara.
"Will you please shut your air hole? Believe it or not your infinite wisdom gets a little old sometimes! Why don't we just throw the scroll away since you're so naturally gifted!" She yelled at him.
"Yo, Katara! Don't yell at him!" You yelled at her with a glare.
"What?" She snapped, then turn to see Aang in tears, making her feel guilty.
"Oh my gosh, Aang, I am so sorry, I don't know what came over me. But you know what, it won't happen again." She sighed and gave him the scroll.
"Here, this is yours. I don't want to have anything to do with it anymore." She mumbled.
"It's okay Katara," Aang smiled softly at her.
"And I'm sorry for snapping at you too (Y/N), that was wrong of me," She apologized.
"No worries water girl," You gave her thumbs up as Twig hopped over to Momo.
"What about Momo? He's the real victim here." Sokka said as Momo rubbed his rear.
"I'm sorry, Momo." She said as she pet his ears.
"And what about me? There was that time you-"
"No more apologies!"

Nightfall, and you, Katara, Sokka, and Aang were sleeping by the campfire. You heard shuffling and you opened your eyes to see Katara quietly taking the scroll and snuck away from the camp. You tilted your head and slowly got up to follow. Twig chirped as he continued to sleep.
You pushed a branch to see her standing by the river, attempting but failing to perfect the water whip.
"Shoot! Come on water, work with me here!" She groaned.
"I don't think the water can hear you," You chuckled as Katara jumped and dropped the water.
"(Y/N)!" She said, embarrassed that she was caught.
"Hey, don't mind me, I just wanna watch you," You smiled at her, making her blush.
"O-okay," She said, getting ready to bend again, but then you both heard a ship pulling up onto the river bank. You two snuck over and peaked through the bushes to see what the noise was, and saw the pirates.
"We need to leave," You whispered as you turned to run, but you both were grabbed by pirates.
"Let us go!" She shouted. You bended a rock and threw it at the pirate's face, making him groan. You tried to save Katara too, but then your wrists were grabbed and heard a husky voice in your ear.
"I'll save you from the pirates."

You and Katara struggled against the rope that was wrapped around you as Zuko stood in front of you.
"Tell me where he is and I won't hurt you or your brother." He said to Katara.
"Go get eaten by a platypus bear!" You scowled at him.
"Try to understand (Y/N). I need to capture him to restore something I've lost, my honor." You rolled your eyes at his words
"Perhaps in exchange I can restore something you've lost." You then saw Katara's necklace from her mother, making her gasp.
"My mother's necklace! How did you get that?" She said with anger from her voice.
"I didn't steal it, if that's what you're wondering. Tell me where he is." He said.
"Katara..." You whispered.
"No!" She yelled at him, making you sigh in relief, but sadden that she won't get her necklace.
"Enough of this necklace garbage! You promised a scroll!" The pirate leader scowled.
"I wonder how much this is worth," Zuko said as he held over his fire, making the pirates stop.
"A lot, apparently. Now you help me find what I want, you'll get this back, and everyone goes home happy. Search the woods for the boy and meet back here," He commanded, making the pirates reluctantly agree.
"I'm sorry (Y/N), I just wanted to learn how to waterbend, I caused us to be captured," Katara said with a sadden look.
"It may be your fault, but I understand why you did it. When I was little, I was so focus on trying to bend lava, I accidentally caused something that I never wanted in my life to happen," You sighed.
"What was it?" She asked curiously. You were about to say something, then pirates came back with Aang and Sokka.
"Good work,"
