Chapter 1

Chapter 1- Awaken In Chains

"After what happened at Ba Sing Se, we had to get you to safety," Sokka told Aang as the Avatar shakily picked up his cup of tea.

"We flew back to Chameleon Bay where we found my father and the other Water Tribe men. The Earth King decided he wanted to travel the world in disguise, so he set off alone, well, not completely alone," Sokka continued, and Aang looked around slowly, taking in everything and everyone.

"Soon, the bay was overrun by Fire Nation ships. Rather than fight them all, we captured a single ship and made it our disguise. Since then we've been traveling west," Something was wrong, he was here, everyone was here... but not everyone.

"We crossed through the Serpent's Pass a few days ago. We've seen a few Fire Nation ships, but none have bothered us," Twig and the colony laid in a pile, sleeping soundly, but Twig was making sad purring as Momo comforted him. Aang also saw a woman who resembled your sister, drinking some tea.

Someone was missing, someone important. Aang turned to Sokka.

"I... just don't understand, where's (Y/N)?" Aang asked, and the ship grew silent, looking at each other with sadness.

"(Y/N)... has been captured,"

"I see you're finally awake," The voice of Azula woke you up from your sleeping state, and you hummed to agree with her. The door the cell you were in had a small window, and revealed the face of the Firebender, who gave you a sickly love smile.

"Zuzu was too cowardice to face you, after what he said. Frankly, I think he went to far," Azula said as she opened the door to your cell. You were on your knees, chains wrapped around not just your wrist, but your hand so you wouldn't bend.

After the incident at Ba Sing Se, you collapsed with the lava disappearing and the palace destroyed. The Fire Nation took you and you woke up on the ship that headed back to your old home.

In the cell, your clothes were burnt and raggedy. Bruises and dirt all over your body, and your hair a complete mess.
"You look awful, we better get you a bath so you would be prepared to meet your future father in-law," Azula cooed, and you kept silent, just like when you woke up, staring at the ground.

Azula tsked and walked inside the cell, closing the door behind her. Walking in front of you, she crouched down and reached for you.
"Answer when I talk to you love," Azula said sharply as she placed her hand under your chin, making you face her forcefully. Her face softened slightly as she saw your face.

Your once soft face was filled with scars, on the bridge of your nose, above your lip, and on that your bandage covered all those years.
"Oh love," She cooed as you stared at her, blank emotions filled your eyes.

"Everything I did, was just for you to be ours, don't you get it?" She softly said as she slowly leaned in.
"I love you so much, you know that right?" She mumbled, and you closed your eyes, slowly leaning in too.

The kiss was... weird. It was for power, for being the dominant one, yet... it feels genuine, passionate. Like she waited all these years for you.
'She probably did,' You thought

Separating for air, your eyes shifted so there was little bit of hope.
"I love you too, Azula," Your lips slowly lifted into a smile, and she purred at your face.
"Ever since you popped out of the ground, I saw you as a light from this dreadful world, you were brought here, just for me, just for the Fire Nation," She said as she straddled your waist.

"I know... after all my time running, I left a part of myself back home, because of how much I missed you," You confessed, no longer feeling like yourself.
"Of course, you couldn't never get rid of me," Azula cooed at you.

"You know I always get what I want, and right now," She traced her hand onto your waist, making you close your eyes.
"I want you," She smirked, but before anything else could happen, you started to cry.

"No... please no... not again..." You whimpered, not seeing anything around you as you saw the faint background of a Fire Nation ship.

Zhao's ship.

"No... please no... Zhao... I-I won't do it again... please..." Shaking violently, you started to cry a little louder, humiliated that you were let yourself be so vulnerable. Azula paused at your words, and that alone made her furious.
'What did Zhao do? To hurt what was mine?' She thought.

"Shhh, shhh, don't cry love," She soothed and used her thumb to wipe tears away.
"It's just me, no one else. Just me, and I need you to breathe," She said, and through your choke sobs, you managed in inhaling and exhale, over and over until you were only shaking and hiccuping.

"You've been through so much, love. If I unchain you, you won't try anything, right?" She's asked, though it seemed like she was teasing, her eyes said otherwise, like she was daring you to try.
"What damaged could I do in this state?" You mumbled, which made her pause, then chuckled.

"Still the same (Y/N) I know," She said and pulled out a key, and the moment you felt the chains fall off your wrists, you collapsed in her arms. Azula caught you, and she chuckled as she rubbed the back of your head.

"Do know, you will be married into the Royal Family at Sozin's Comet, a sign that you will be part of our lives once the word will be in our command," She purred, managing to pick you up, and you just hummed.
"I'm tired," You mumbled, and she smiled.

"Let's get you to your room, and let's get you a bath first,"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Wow..." You mumbled, sitting in front of the mirror to your bathroom as a servant was brushing your hair after your bath.
"You must feel exhausted miss," The servant said, pressing the brush into your hair.
"Yeah, I am. I appreciate on what you're doing for me," You commented, which made the servant smile.
"It is simply my job to serve my masters, and you are now considered as my master," That made you look down at your lap.
"Just call me (Y/N)," The servant paused, but continued it brush.
"Alright, (Y/N). You're royal wear is on your bed, I'll leave you to it," The servant said and helped you get up from your stool.
The robe you wore felt very comfy, and you bowed to the servant before they walked out of the room.
'I never wore a free since I was 5, this is going to take some time getting used to,' You thought, seeing the dress on your bed. It was a simple red dress with little golden accessories around the fabric.
It was apparently custom made so it wouldn't show any scars on your body.
"How nice," You said and pulled the dress on you, tying the rubbing around your waist and slightly clapped the sleeves to your dress.
Just then, you heard a knock to your door, making you jump.
"H-hello?" You called out.
"It's Zuko," You heard, and you turned to face the wall, and heard the door open.
"I'm glad to see you're not hurt. It was amazing on what you did back in Ba Sing Se," You heard him say.
You didn't say anything, still hurt on what he said to you.
"(Y/N), you can't ignore me. I've spent so long on looking for the Avatar, and not only the fact the Avatar is gone, I finally have you again," He said, taking a step forward, but you didn't budge.
The lack of response from you made Zuko get irritated and scowled.
"I said don't ignore me!" He demanded, but you just looked down, closing your eyes.
"Fine then! I wanted to be nice, but you make it so difficult! You have no idea what you make me feel, these thoughts I have and this guilt I get when I yelled at you!" He shouted, turning to stomp away.
"I was wrong Zuko..." The prince stopped in his tracks, caught off guard to your answer.
"What?" He asked, turning back to see you, and you were crying small tears.
"You were right... I don't know how it feels like," You wiped tears away and turned to face him.
"We may have done things for our fathers, at least you weren't the one who killed him," You sniffed, smiling softly as Zuko watched with guilt ridden in his eyes.
"(Y/N)..." He walked forward as he took you in his arms, closing his eyes as you hugged him too.
"We all love you (Y/N), never forget that," Zuko mumbled, caressing your cheek gently with his thumb.
"I know," You smiled at him.
"As much as I want to object, you have to meet my father tomorrow," He sighed.
"I'll look forward to it," You gave a small grin, which made him smile.
"I'm just worried you'll annoy him to death," He confessed.
"I'll try to lower my charm a little,"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Hey! What's... oh, it's your glider," Toph said as she picked up the now destroyed staff. Aang took the staff and sighed softly.
"It's okay. If someone saw it, it would give away my identity. It's better for now that no one knows I'm alive," He jumped onto the entrance of the volcano, where the stared into the lava.

"Be safe (Y/N)... I love you," Aang whispered as he struck his staff into the lava, jumping away as the staff burned.

'Wherever you are, we'll save you,'

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Snapping your eyes open, you felt a jolt. A jolt that had hope in it. You sat up from the bed, feeing Zuko groan and shuffle next to you.
"(Y/N)? What's wrong?" He asked, rubbing his eyes.
"Just had a bad dream, go back to sleep, I'll fall back in a second," You muttered, and he nodded tiredly, falling asleep in an instant.
You hummed as you turned your head to the windo
'I saw a vision.... Crescent Island... a staff was placed on top of the volcano... Aang's staff!' You thought, looking outside to see the moon shining down, Yue shining down.
'Aang... he's alive!'
