✶⊶⊷⊶⊷❍❍⊶⊷⊶⊷✶
"I wasn't here for few days and you changed The Delivery Guy, huh?"
Zawal's hijab hodded head snapped to source of the very well known rich voice.
His boots bringing him from accelerator to her apartment main door, the hallway died down in silence as Zamar's boots kissed the exquisite carpeted floor.
They've been avoiding each other for past few days ever since the Walimah, his one move was enough to bring up a uncomfortable silence.
It was just a forehead kiss yet Zamar knew he's the one at fault, fault that he followed his heart, the traitor among them.
The small package in his left hand arrived at his apartment three days ago, he didn't delivered it her the same day, his courage level to be sorry was low.
Finally giving up to frustrated his brain, Zamar was here with her package to be blessed with the sight of Zawal having her good time with Zaib at their door step.
"Uh-.. Its not like that, you're irreplaceable. Zaib just arrived, he wanted to have me latte with him and hangout, the weather seems to be good today."
Zawal uneasily smiled and sounded casual to normal the environment between them.
Zamar cleared his throat as he nodded and forwarded the package to her to receive, which she did without meeting his eyes.
Everytime their eye's clashed the only memory of the Walimah evening danced before their mind, which wasn't thinking straight ever since.
"The weather's not today, the snowstorms are likely to be showered. Let's hang'in rather, better safe than sorry." Zaib said as he leaned against the wall beside the door facing Zamar.
Zamar moved his eyes to Zaib, with a flaming glare under his blank eyes, he sighed and was about to leave but a quick question popped up his lips.
"Zaviyaar's home?"
"Nah, The Iyad and Fatih couple are out for a double date day."
"Mhm..." Zamar nodded again as his ethereal orbs flickered from Zawal to Zaib and the other way around.
Is she going to be with him, all alone?
A mere thought of Zawal with Zaib without any third company made blazing fire through his veins.
He stood he gazing at the ground as if finding a critical point in his mind.
Zawal and Zaib shared a glance of confusion as Zamar blankly stood there, they were unaware his flooded mind.
"Just Curious, Okay. What were you guys.. Uh..planning to do currently?" He enquiredly genuinely curious about their time together as another idea crept up his brain.
"Kya matlab?" Zaib asked raising his eyebrow with a curiosity of his own as he sense an strange tone in Zamar's voice.
"Uh-"
"Why don't you.. J-join in?" Zamar brought his eyes to meet the one who made his nights sleepless, there was glint of hope glistening in those amber-green specks.
"What does that mean? Join In What?"
"What I meant to say is, Me and Zaib are most likely to re-see our childhood cringy pictures or watch movies with bucket of popc- OoR! I've An Better Idea For All Us!"
"And that would be?" Zaib slowly questioned raising his eyebrows receiving excited features of Zawal's.
"I remember Zaryaab Bhai mentioning about makeover of the baby's room.... So.... " Zawal kept circling her fingers in the air with hopefully excited eyes thinking they might get what she what to say.
But these were dumb guys, who was confusingly staring at her and waiting for her to complete her hanging sentences.
Zawal lowly groaned at their lack of understanding and threw hands in the air and continued not before taking a deep breathe.
"Sooo! I was saying! Why don't we do it for them! !"
"Do What? for Whom?" Zamar asked with a genuine blank face making Zawal roll her eyes The Delivery Guy.
"Makeover, For soon to parents! In Sha Allah! I guess we just need to set things on right places and give a bright look for the baby's room! I mean playroom!"
"Is it playroom or baby's room?"
"It's basically a playroom, Zaib. We're desi people! The newborn baby sleeps with its parents, as far I know!" Zaib nodded as if he couldn't agree more and her words had strong desi fact.
"True that!"
"So what say? Are you guys in for it?"
"Sounds Okay." Zamar said as he digged his hands more into his parka jacket and nodded at her suggestion followed by Zaib's unwillingly affirmative answer.
"Fine then, list and text me the things you need I'll get it right away, I'm getting Starbucks lattes anyways." Zaib suggested rolling his car keys in his index finger and left running down the hallway stairs.
Zawal nodded at him and brought her eyes to Zamar, who quickly looked away scared to be caught staring, his orbs again travelled to meet hers.
"We'll leave for-uh Zaryaab Bhai's penthouse then, we got a little time." Zawal said to clear the again build up awkward tension in the air, they left as soon as she picked her belongings from inside.
Zamar nodded and silently signalled her to follow him to the elevator, he answered her unasked question by raising Zaryaab's penthouse spare keys in his fingertips.
The silent awkwardness gushed with the collected air in the elevator as he pressed the top floor and leaned against the metallic wall.
Zawal stood with her hands crossed as she stood with the supported by the elevator mirror behind her, a few steps away with average distance between them.
No words were exchanged, so unlike their strange feelings. She heavily sighed as she closed her eyes and rested her head against the wall.
The elevator was with the speed of an weak wifi network, opposite to their abnormal heartbeats.
Zawal loud sigh got his attention as he titled his head and looked at her with corner of his ethereal eyes.
Apologize, quickly! His mind advised and this time his heart gave in while Zamar quietly obeyed.
"I'm Sorry."
"Huh?" Zawal confusingly doubted as flipped her eyelids and jerked her head up to focus on something he finally uttered in these chaotic silence.
Zamar took a deep breathe and turned to face her as he step further, which alarmed her a little, the previous events flashed across her mind.
He could surely sense her uncomfortable-ness and quickly stepped back dropping an good distance between them.
"I'm Sorry, really really Sorry, Za-Black Forest! I'm really ashamed for wh-what I did that day.
I shouldn't have done it and I know, I know it's been a while I realized which made me more ashamed of myself.
I'm genuinely Sorry to make you uncomfortable, even with my presence which is the reason I couldn't courage up and apologise before!
Forgive me for the sake of my guilt, which makes me die a little as a seconds passed, I should have thought about you and respected yo-I'm Sorry Okay! Genuinely Sorr-"
"That's enough, you don't need to be so sorry though I'm Sorry too, And It's wasn't that big fuss to be worried for--it was but chill. Life Happens."
"We're Okay now?"
"We're.." Zawal genuinely smiled as she clasped her hands against each other, relief at the fact the awkwardness and apologizes were done.
"How will I be sure that I'm forgiven, huh?" Zamar dramatically in playfulness asked like a child to which she chuckle making his heart skips series of beats.
"Maybe, A Black Forest Cake Would Do!"
"Alright, Soon at your door step, Ma'am."
❖❖❖
"Pink or Blue?"
"None!" Zaib frowned as Zawal amd Zamar exclaimed in unison rolling their beautiful eyes at him.
"Definitely not so girly, not so boyish, Okay? Don't get biased here! Racist." Zamar grumpily said as he crossed his hands against his chest.
"What's the gender of the baby?"
"We don't follow 'the baby's gender reveal' tradition, even if Zaryaab and Zaarnish had it done, this is supposed to be a surprise as Black Forest said!
And they're smart enough to knos what we're upto once we question them, so it's better not. I can't believe you're a neurosurgeon, he's the one who's brain's damage."
"Oh Really!? Did you figure out anything with the room theme? Huh?"
"Of course, I thought of something, let's go with gree--"
"Shades Of Grey!"
"Yes, let's go with Shades of--WHAT!" Zamar said in horror eyeing Zawal who suggested the theme, seated at one of the small chairs along with the furniture which was kept at a corner of the room.
She had an Ipad held in the hand and a plain paper scribbled with something Zawal wrote resting on the tiny table.
"What in the Brains, L! It's just a baby! These are too inappropriate even for adults--"
"Aye! Shush! Astaqfirrullah, Let me complete first, B!" Zawal shushed Zaib's mind as the guys reached to where she was.
"He's such a Harami." Zamar mumbled loud enough for the duo to hear, Zaib frowned in defence and mumbled back.
"I wasn't the one, who give a reaction first, so we clearly know, who's the Harami in the room."
Zamar narrowed his eyes at the accusation and before he could fire back a quick reply Zawal stopped their bickerings.
"Okay Guys, now stop! Let's get this done quickly! The walls are plainly white and grey to grey theme would go perfectly!"
"Grey wouldn't be dull and boring, L?" Zaib doubted while Zawal rolled her eyes at him and Zamar sighed in silence.
"Grey is a trendy and a calming shade of colours, B. It neutral and most of all, a colour that works with everything, just like white along with tinge-y black."
"Obsessed with grey, Aren't you?" Zamar deeply chuckled looking at Zawal's brightly lighten face.
"Definitely!" She chirped staring right into his smokey hue-y grey orbs, who stared back with same energy.
"So, do I need to exchange these pink and blue?" Zaib asked as he lifted the paint containers and groaned when Zawal nodded at this.
"We don't need much! Just get a small one!" Zawal yelled as Zaib left leaving this duo, who arranged the cute tiny furniture in its places.
"Climb up and adjust these hooks!"
"Me?" Zamar musedly asked pointing himself at Zawal's order, who held out hooks for not before dragging the table for him to climb.
"Obiov, does you see anyone else other than us here?"
"Ahaan! Yeah! I see, it's only Us!" He huskily whispered as he leaned close to her hijab-ed ear, to which she pointed the sharp corner of hooks.
"Guess, who's going to be injured before the sun sets? Plus no forgiveness this time." She cockily announced holding the hooks high enough to poke him.
His throaty deep laugh echoed in the room as he winked at her not before playfully whispering.
"Hooks ku zarurat nahi hai aapko ghayal karne ke liye, nazre hi kafi hai."
(You need hooks to injure me? Just look at me and that's it.)
She smacked his shoulders with her hook-free hand as he jumped up the table chuckling at her while she tried controlling her smile behind his back unaware of the crimson hues which crept her cheekbones.
"What are these for?" He asked once he was done with the last touch and was ready to jump down the table but Zawal stopped him quickly handing a white light soft fabriced curtain.
"That's for fine airy canopy! A cozy area for baby to play and spend time!"
"Looks like you're more excited for the baby than its parents."
"Of course, I'm! I always wanted to design a baby playroom! It's really fun and cute thing to doo!" Zawal chirped excitedly which unknowingly brought a soft smile over his lips..
"I'll hire you for ou-mine.... In Sha Allah." He mumbled along with the trance in his minds bickering with his heart, sadly his mumble wasn't audible enough for her to hear.
He attached the crown like wire on the eye hooks for canopy followed by draping the sheer fabric just how she wants it to be.
"Done?"
"Done, just how you wanted?"
"Yup, looks just how I wanted!"
Dusting his hands on his denims and quickly plopping down safely meanwhile Zawal decorated comfy rug with cute cushions under the canopy along with some stuff toys.
Zamar's heart warmed at the sight as he stood afar as she arranged the his heart like--warm corner of the room.
Zawal let falls the folds of adorned soft furry blanket with last final touches by hanging pleasant fairy lights.
With a satisfied smile she wholeheartedly walked to where he was and stood shoulder to shoulder as they both examined the snuggly area filled with homely touches.
"This is amazingly cozier and cutest, I'll make sure my kiddo gets one like this too." Zamar said as he lopsidedly smiled at his own statement.
"You're so desperate for kids."
"Who wouldn't be? A mini version of you with hopefully soft features and heart of your spouse which you love, what more can a person wish for?"
Zawal gaped amusingly at his retreating back as he softly chuckled and hung a black 'Z' alphabet on the wall between the space of the canopy and a white teakwood shelf.
She smiled to herself for a pretty unknown reason and followed him, reaching the shelf and enhanced it with cute greeny succulents with pretty white tiny pots.
Adorning it with frame which had quranic verse over family beautifully calligraphiced in arabic with a soothing meaningful translation.
"What's next?" Zamar asked once he noticed she was done with the shelf decors, hands on her waist Zawal ran her eyes across the room finally landing it on the huge window.
"Lets do the window area until Zaib's here." Zamar made a face when she mentioned her best friend -slash- cousin as she made her way close to the window.
"Zaib nai Azaab hai woh! Behtaar hoga woh na hi ayye."
(It's better if he won't come, he's more like a destruction.)
He mumbled to himself as he followed her, soon they both made a new homely peaceful window seat and a bonus for family corner in the room.
"Can you get those lanterns, Delivery Guy?"
"Sure, Ma'am Black Forest." He jogged towards shelf where se kept the extra two lanterns, accidentally dropping a tiny succulent as the ceramic base fell apart in tiny sharp pieces.
He clicked his tongue but didn't dare to turn back and face her fuming face, succulents were something she was continuously ranting while arranging the shelf earlier.
"Broom, now!"
Zamar slumped his shoulders and kept the lanterns on nearby table before he walked out and came back with a broom and pan.
"Can't we just vacuum it—" Zawal's short glare made him shut up and swiftly cleaned it from every where possible as it was already messed while She hung up the lanterns on either side of the window.
"You owe baby, a succulent." Zawal said once he was done with sweeping, he narrowed his eyes as he layed flat on floor, grabbing soft pillow from under the canopy.
Zamar closed his eyes in tiredness and spread his arms open an while she sat by the window seat.
"The sweeping made me more tired than the other works, huh! I can't feel my backbone—"
"Don't you workout?"
"I don't sweep on my workout sessions—" Zamar's dramatic defense explained came to an halt the door burst open witnessing the neurosurgeon with 2 cans of pain; Grey And Black.
"Looks who's baackkk!"
"Fina-Freakkingg-llyyyy, what made you so late?" Zawal exclaimed in annoyance as she examined on of the two paint cans.
Zamar stood beside her confused at the fact; What is she trying to do by looking closely at the wall paint.
"I met a well known Neurologist of England! You know whats happens when 'A Neurosurgeon' and 'A Neurologist' meets! Clash Of-"
"Clowns?" Zamar blurted completely crushing Zaib's childish excitement.
"Brains Alyan, Brains."
"Says the one who's lacking it."
"Did you jus--" Zaib was again striked off his sentence as Zawal spoke up thrusting the black can back into his hand which made Zamar smirk at him.
"He's right, You Brainless, B! White wall paint kyu nai laya?"
(Why didn't you get the white wall paint?)
"WHAT! YOU DIDN'T ASK FOR WHITE!"
"I didn't ask for black either."
"But that's a shade of grey! Important I must add!"
"SO IS WHITE! 'IMPORTANT I MUST ADD'." Zawal mimicked her cousin, who's jaw hung low while Zamar held back his laugh at Zaib and rather spoke;
"You guys carry on, I'm Out And Hungry As Fu--"
"Oh Heylo! Where are you out to already? Who will help me painting the walls--" Before Zaib could complete and before Zamar could reply, Zawal vocalised again.
"You're going to do it 'All Alone', we already did almost everything! You were purposely late knowing we both were waiting for you!
So here's the punishment; Do It All By Yourself!" Zawal said clearly keeping her words in front of a pouted frowning Zaib, who narrowed his eyes at the smirking Zamar.
Zamar whistled coolly and asked Zawal. "You joining? Imma attack the Pantry, you take the Fridge." Zawal nodded and followed him out ignoring and leaving a whining Zaib behind.
"Ah! You go ahead, I'll just instruct him before he messes up again." Zawal murmured at the entrance of the kitchen area.
Zamar nodded and moved for something he was here for while she paced back to the nursery slash playroom.
"Do you understand? Or should I repeat? Black and Grey zigzag pattern!?" Zawal asked with hopeful glint in her eyes to which Zaib rolled his eyes nonetheless nodded making her sigh in relief.
"That Alyan, really won't help me? Don't torture me like that. Remember I'm your guest?"
"Ha Ha. Guest. As if. Do it quietly and neatly and don't worry we both will help once we feed ourselves!
Look at the other half of the room, it's all set! Its little left, we'll do it together and don't you hear my stomach growling? That delivery guy's alr-"
"You like him, don't you?"
Zawal paused in her steps as she was on her way to leave the room, her loud hunger immediately forgotten as her mind focused on Zaib's words.
She turned with her eyebrows furrowed and walked towards him. "What absurd are you talking about, Zaib?"
"Seriously, L. You're asking me that?"
"You're thinking stupid, B. There's nothing like that. Don't think much, your brain is gonna burst." She joked distracted the disturbing thought in her mind.
She likes him? No..
Like it's said before; It's just a teeny tiny crush—
"Is it a' crush' then?" Zaib asked as he air quoted the word 'Crush', Zawal cleared her throat and shrugged casually.
"Yeah I guess, a crush which will fade soon!"
"Does that crush resides in your heart?"
"Uh-Um..."
"He does, or else you would have make a fuss about what happen on the Walimah evening.
I know you didn't clearly me tell me what exactly happened that day but with what you said me, its obvious thats there more to it.
Plus, 'Crushes' are supposed to mess with your mind and unless you bring down to your heart.
Congratulations My'Lady, you're doomed."
Zaib declared as his lightly clicked her nose with his index finger and got back to his work whistling.
"That's rubbish, all my previous crushes flew away earlier and so will this, soon." Zawal said rolling her eyes, little aware that her mind was just lying for peace of her heart.
My heart definitely need some peice of mind! She thought to herself and came our of revie as Zaib dramatically sung.
"Whatever helps you at niightt, L!"
"Surahs would do! And you better carry on what you're asked too!"
❖❖❖
"If I could only find a note to make you understand
I'd sing it softly in your ear and grab you by the hand..
Just keep it stuck inside your head, like your favorite tune
And know my hearts a stereo that only plays for you--"
Zamar paused his incredible vocals when his eyes fell on the melody of his heart, froze at entrance of penthouse's open terrace with an surprisingly amused expression.
Where on a boundary wall was him comfortably dangerous seated while his feet rested on chair against the wall.
He rosed his beloved guitar from his thighs and made it stand between his legs, embarrassed at the fact she caught him singing.
Not his fault, his heart and vocals always make him sing aloud when he's around his loved ones, just like now.
Sitting under the Zaryaab's open terrace along as the trio best friends hanged out under the warm starry weather of England.
"Hey Ali Zawali, Join In!" Zaryaab signalled Zawal to come, his voice pulled out both from their reveries as they cleared the throat.
Zawal pulled up a coy smile and walked towards the empty chair beside Zaviyaar and comfortable sat there.
She gracefully and thankfully smiled at Zaryaab, who glided the chocochips cookies towards her.
"Any singing skills?"
"She haveee a beautiful voiceeeee, Zaryaab Bhai!" Before Zawal could reply Zaira loudly said as she made her entry along with a heavily pregnant woman beside her.
Zawal half-glared at her sister-in-law, who cheekily smiled and held out a hot chocolate for her making as roll her eyes nonetheless receive it.
"Aweh! Thank you, My Love." Zaryaab stated as Zaarnish sat beside him with two hot large chocolate cups held in her either hands.
She adorably frowned at him and hideously pulled it towards her, when Zaryaab forwarded his hand to get his to which she defensively shook her head making me narrow his eyes at her and whisper.
"You're already soo blown like parachute, Darli'in. How much more do you need?"
"Blown? Para---Hah! All thanks to you!"
Zamar noticed the couple moment, smirking at Zaryaab when he looked his way, he asked Zaarnish.
"Nishie, can I get a the other hot chocolate you have?"
Zaarnish thought for a moment meanwhile Zaryaab smirked back to his best friend knowing his spouse's reply—
"Sure, Zamar Bhai. Can you pass it to him?"
Zaryaab jaw hung open to look at his spouse, who had an ever so kind sweet face which definitely melted his heart.
Faking an narrow eyed expression at her as hentook the cup and forwarded to Zamar, who smugly smirked wide followed by a goofy smile at Zaarnish as if grateful for the cup.
Zaryaab made a face at him receiving another weird in reply, he scoffed when Zamar grinned at if he won a trophy cup.
"Ahan, So you can sing, eh? Let's get us bless too. A lyric or two please?" Zaryaab dramatically said as he held out the water bottle as a mic to which Zawal laughed and nodded.
"Let's go for a duet then?
Just sing along to my stereo." Zamar begun as he crashed his eyes with her in an intense gaze as the lyrics clashed.
"I only pray you'll never leave me beeehind.
Because good music can be so hard to fiiind~"
"I take your hand and pull it closer to mineee.
Thought love was dead, but now you're changing my mind~"
The stars glistened as the wind rhythmically breezed and swayed with the meaningful words of the unexplainable heart.
Her heart was reviving crackles and fireworks, as her eyes held the true sense of her brain.
Taking a deep breath, they both closed their eyes as they take in the right feels of the lyrics and just to vibe it together as she melodiously sung.
"My hearts a stereo
It beats for you, so listen close
Hear my thoughts in every note, oh oh~"
"Make me your radio
Turn me up when you feel low
This melody was meant for you
Just sing along to my stereo~"
Amber glinted golden-green eyes striked his hues of ashy smokey grey, as the heart slowly clattered with lyrics in unison.
"Oh oh oh oh oh oh to my stereo
Oh oh oh to sing along to my stereo."
They tore the unspoken gaze as soon as they wear done with the song, busy calming their heart desiring of skipping beats.
"THAT WAS FUCKING GREAAAAATTT!"
Everyone startled at 'curse stated' voice of Zaarnish—who was almost in tears due to her hormones.
Zaryaab shook his head at his spouse, remembering the restriction of cursing out loud, the rule she made as soon as they found out they're having a blessing baby soon.
"THENKS!?" Zamar replied with the same energy though his face screamed he doubt her over-whelmed reaction.
"Maaf kardo iss baar. Thode din aur bardhast karna hai phir khatam, In Sha Allah!"
(Forgive her this time, just tolerate for few more days, then it's over.)
Zaryaab said with a fake wide smile looking at each of them while he passed the tissue for his wife, who needs it to wipe her unshedded tears as he soothed her back.
"Zaryaab nahi, Warrior'aab hai tu, Mere Bhai!"
(My Brother! You aren't Zaryaab instead you're a Warrior'aab!"
They gave a dead face to Zamar's lamest joke he ever cracked, not to mention after a loong time.
"Isko bardhast karne ki zarurat nahi hai, isko marsakte hai. Chalega humare sath."
(Don't need to tolerate him, You can murder or kill him. It's okay with us.)
For this Zaryaab received, a whole hearted laugh from Mrs. Fatih, a chuckle by the Iyad couple, a snicker from the blogger Iyad and lastly a punch from the lamer, Zamar Alyan.
"You better keep singing instead of cracking lame jokes, Mars." Zaviyaar said with a fake pitying expression to which Zamar scoffed mumbling 'his importance was taken to be granted'.
"Khayr! They actually sung beautifullyyyy!" Zaira chirped as she side hugged Zawal as everyone nodded in agreement.
"I agree! Nailed It, Eh!" Zaarnish exclaimed clapping her hands like a 4 year old making Zaryaab adore her more than already.
He was whipped by this beautiful lady, thankful that he made her his already.
"Why Don't We Feed Ourselves Double Chocolate Oreo Plus Ferrero With Bonus Sticks Of Huge KitKat Ice Cream!? We Should, Right?
Zaryaab! Let's go get Ice cream, Pweaseee!" Zaarnish excitedly and lovingly wrapped her hand around her other half's arm.
"Nahi Meri Jaan, we just had a lot of suger-y items today, let's save it for tomorrow, Alright?"
"You're The Worst Husband One Wouldn't Wish For--"
"Maine Quran Lekar Baith Jana Hai Ghanto Ke Liye, Bataraha hu!"
(I'll start reciting Quran for hours, I'm already saying!)
"Oh Haan, Padho! Aur Woh Ayah Baar Baar Padhna Jaha Apni Zawja Ki Khidmat aur Khush Rakhne Ke Liye Kaha Gaya Hai!"
(Oh Yes! Recite And Continously Repeat The Ayah, Where's It's Mentioned To Take Care And Keep Your Wife Happy!)
Blasting this Zaarnish walked in the penthouse stomping her feet angrily with concern Zaira on tail, who clearly knows how her best friend reacts in anger.
Looks like the house gonna be running low on food tonight.
If only Zaarnish would be merciful to the rest eateries.
"Don't Worry, she'll be fine soon atleast that's what I would say after handling whole 8 months preggo crazy woman."
Zaryaab said when Zawal with wide eyes was staring at the place from where the duo left, nodding at him with same expression then quickly recovering it.
She silently cracked her knuckles in tiredness and whispered to Zaviyaar. "Lets Go, I'm tired."
to which he whispered back. "Sure, just a second."
"Why don't we plan an outing? Like not too quick but soon, after a month or two maybe?" Zaviyaar suggested.
"Sure, once the baby's here, we'll plan something. In Sha Allah." Zaryaab said exhaustedly.
"Alright, when everyone's fine with it plus baby Z will be here too.. Also that reminds, I've to fly to Houston in two or three months." Zamar announced as he made his hot chocolate cup rest beside on the boundary wall.
"Houston? All way to US? Anything serious?" Zaviyaar questioned raising his eyebrow as Zaryaab gave his attention to him while Zawal silently sat there as if realising something in her head.
"Yup and Nah, just a important meeting which Dad specifically wants me to attend. A week or less business trip maybe."
Zaryaab and Zaviyaar nodded in understanding as they sipped their coffee and started chatting about their business issues.
Zamar's eyes frequently flickered to look Zawal, who had furrowed eyebrows as she was trying to recollect something.
As if the clock struck at right, she polite excused herself and walked inside the penthouse to get her phone from charge.
"What do you guys think of Zaib?" Zaviyaar enquired to his boys as soon as Zawal was out of their sight.
A frown adorned Zamar's face as he heard the name of the person, he silently adopted a strong dislike.
"Your Neurosurgeon cousin from States? Yeah, he seems like a good guy." Zaryaab voiced his views to which Zaviyaar nodded.
"Any specific reason for asking this? Also didn't he flying back to States tomorrow morning?" Zamar asked as shot his eyebrow at Zaviyaar, who shrugged.
"He is and I've been thinking, he would be a good match for Zawal."
"What made you think that?"
"They've been together since childhood and pretty close and comfortable in each other's company.
Zawal's more content when he's here. Happier more around him sometimes it obiovs to know they like each other.
Though that makes my blood boil but I need to think for my sister, for her better future."
Each word pricked Zamar's heart like a sharp peice of broken glass being slowly pierce through his poor heart, his jaw clenched tight enough to be snapped.
"Mhmm.. He's good and all but they don't match together, don't you think that? And even if they have a future together, don't you think she'll be too far away from you? UK and States." Zaryaab pointed briefly.
Zamar was sitting bored with the havoc in his mind, running his hand on the strings of his guitar confused at the thought his strings at heart being pulled.
His mind wasn't in place but still witnessed their exchange of words. Zaviyaar hummed and drown in his over thinking thoughts.
"What do you think? You're good at re–" Before Zaryaab could complete his words, the panting voice of Zawal's fell upon their ears as she held out a bag for Zaryaab and said afar from entrance.
"Zaarnish Bhabhi isn't feeling well!"
