*Claires .P.O.V.*

I rush back to class while trying to process what the hell just happened in the office. I arrive to class, look at my teacher, and hand her the late slip which was now just a crumpled up piece of paper. She looks at me and loudly says "You look really red, are you feeling well? Did you run to the office?". My classmates giggle and I roll my eyes and walk to my seat. 

I sit down and right as I do the teacher gets a call. She stands at the phone having an indistinct conversation and when she hangs up the phone she speaks up. "Alright class we have a new homeroom student... come on in ". As she says this I sink into my chair while a feeling of dread overwhelms me- because I know exactly who it's going to be. As they walk in all the girls and even some of the guys blush and start to whisper amongst each other. "Okay settle down class, please introduce yourself". They look up at the class and grin "Hey there my name is Lux and i'll be joining you guys for the rest of the year...I hope we can all be...really close friends".  When they wink I can practically hear some of the girls in my class squealing. Lux looks relatively bored until we make eye contact  and their face goes from disinterested to mischievous.

*Luxes .P.O.V.*

Now that I finished setting up my schedule with the counsellor I start heading to my homeroom class. When I find it I wait outside until the teacher calls me in. When I walk in all the students stare at me and stir with excitement. None of them quite peak my interest but when I introduce myself I make sure to put on a show. When I finish all the girls look at me like they've fallen in love with me, and some of the boys too. I nonchalantly scan the classroom and find a familiar face. When Claire and I make eye contact she looks like she's going to shit herself and makes another interesting expression. I smirk and think 'maybe school won't be too boring after all'. The teacher instructs me to take the empty seat that is conveniently right beside Claire. I slowly strut over to her and lean on her desk. "Nice to see you again love" I say with a smile. She turns that beat red colour of hers as I giggle and sit down at my desk. I was pretty sure that most of the girls want to kill her because they sure look at her like they want blood. The teacher pipes up again. "Alright it seems like you two know each other...so Claire you can show them around school for the week, answer all the questions they have- all that good stuff!". She asks me if i'm okay with that and I happily agree. I look over at Claire and she groans and buries her face into her arms, but I can still see how red her ears are. After that whole situation the teacher continues with class. 

*Time Skip* 

After some long and boring classes the lunch bell signifies that we are free from our misery. I look over at Claire and she awkwardly stares back at me. "So..Where do ya like to eat lunch?". She sighs and then just tells me to follow her. We grab our stuff and she leads me down a narrow hallway that looks that it hasn't been cleaned in years, then we head up a steep and narrow flight of stairs. When she pushes a door open that at the top of the stairs, a breeze hit my face that smelled like fresh flowers. The door leads out to a sectioned off part of the schools roof that is decorated with colourful assortments of wild flowers. She brings me over to a bench and sits down- I sit down beside her. "This is where I like to eat, but it's my spot okay so don't tell anyone else. I take care of the plants and everything!" she says looking down. "Got it. Your secrets safe with me" I say and smile. "Pinky promise?" she says while holding out her pinky. I interlock mine with hers and its a deal. I pull out my lunch which is some veggie sushi with water. I look over at Claire and she's rummaging through her bag looking defeated. "Ugh I forgot to bring food for lunch". "We can split this if you want..Take it as payment for bringing me up here". She looks down at my food and then at me. "T-that's fair I guess...Thank you". She gives me a big genuine smile. 'Oh-' what was that? Did my heart just skip a beat? Thats kinda gay. I look down and try to hide my face with my shirt. After I calm myself down we split the food and eat happily for the rest of the break.

*Clairs .P.O.V.*

When they offered me some of their food I was so happy considering I was now starving to death but after I agreed to have some they blushed and tried to hide their face, sorta out of character for them but I just ignore it, they probably weren't blushing cause of me or anything. Despite all the teasing, they weren't that bad, a genuinely chill person i'd say. I got them to show me thier schedule and ours were identical other than the fact that they had PhysED and I had a spare during the last period. "Aw man I would have loved to see you in a gym uniform" they say in a fake sad tone. I just roll my eyes at them. After lunch I show them to the gymnasium and start walking towards the library. Before I go they yell "Hey! Don't go home right away after school. Meet me back here". I raise an eyebrow at them. "Pretty please princess" they say with puppy eyes. I sigh and raise a thumb up to them- they do a victory dance. I shake my head and continue to walk down to the library. 

*Time Skip*

The end bell rings and I walk into the gymnasium but it has already been cleared out. I open the girls change-room and yell for Lux- I get no response. Suddenly they appear out of the mens change-room. "Sorry for the wait, I never really know which one to use so I just wait for them to clear out and pick my poison" they say awkwardly. I let them know its fine and then ask them what they wanted to meet me for. "Oh well...I was actually wondering if I could come over to your house?" they say casually as they look at me. This confused me for a second cause we just met and I don't know you'd think that someone would have better things to do after their first day of school. I had no plans though so I reluctantly agreed.

We walk out to the parking lot and get into my car. As we pull out from the parking lot some girls from homeroom spot us both in the car and their mouths open wide in shock. "We'll definitely hear about this tomorrow" they say looking amused. I on the other hand would rather not attract any more drama or attention than I need to. We drive to my house and step inside. "Wow Claire I didn't know you were loaded, this house is huge" Lux says with a somewhat shocked expression. I open the door and let them in. I yell to mom that i'm home and she comes to the door. My mom looks shocked to see me with another person since that hasn't happened in a super long time. "Who's your friend Claire" Mom says with a smile. Lux perks up. "I'm Lux ma'am, your daughter graciously volunteered to show me around since i'm new to the school". "Claire volunteered for something? It must be the end of the world today". Lux goes to shake my moms hand and holds it while saying "well now I see where Claire gets her good looks from". They then raise my moms hand up up to their face and kiss the back of her hand. "Hey! No! Not my mom dude..." I say while I gently nudging them away from my mom. Mom laughs and Lux chuckles. "Well Claire your new friend seems interesting, you two look to be getting along so i'll get out of your hair. Let me know if you guys need anything". 

We go up to my room and Lux lays on my bed. I suggest we watch a movie and they agree. I toss the remote over- tell them to pick something and go to get dressed into my comfortable clothes. When I come back the TV is paused at the 'Howls Moving Castle' and Lux is passed out on my bed. I quietly walk over and lay on the bed beside them. I move the hair from their face and take it in. 'They're actually kinda cute' I think. My first impression of them was like they were a wolf, bold, mysterious and scary, but right now they remind me of a puppy. I continue to look at their calm sleeping face and cup their cheek with my hand. Before I realize what i'm doing I lean down and kiss them. 'WHAT DID I JUST-'. Before I get to even finish the thought they grab the back of my neck and pull me into the kiss even more.
