Today was supposed to be a 'normal' day. And by that I mean as 'normal' as any day we have can get.

Dad was in the mega-knight, mom is in the swamp-knight, Ant in his shadow-knight, Fontaine in the rover, and I was in the white-knight. Dad and I just brought a 'smaller' clam aboard the Arronax when suddenly the white-knights systems started going haywire. I struggled gaining control while Ant looked at me.. with his usual expression.

Guilt.

"Ant.. what did you do?" I hovered over him, glaring.

"You know how your always saying you wanted the white-knight to be stronger-"

"You always said that."

He sighed and whispered. "I upgraded the systems but never got time to test it out.."

"No time for set backs. Clams first. Then I'll kick your butt." I swam off with Ant following after. Another ship came into view as we once again heard the laughter that would always haunt children's ears. Captain Hammerhead.

"Hello Nektons!"

The giant colored clam opened up showing a perfectly round and beautiful pearl. We were all amazed until Mad Madeline swam into the clam and started pulling at the pearl. The clam started closing.

"Mad!" Finn yelled swimming forward to rescue his sister.

"No! No! It's mine!!" She screeched. I swam forward and held the clams mouth open before it clamped down on the knight cracking the screen and leaving enough time for me to put on my air mask and swim into the clams mouth.

"Ash!" Finn called gesturing to a small area through the clams mouth. He was half-way into the clam when he suddenly had to swim in due to the clams mouth closing. "Uh-oh"

Sighing, I sat down. "Great.. just great."

Finn cleared his throat. "At least we have air." I rolled my eyes. "S-so.. what hobbies do you have?"

"Really? Small talk? Aren't you scared?" Finn quickly cleared his throats and rubbed the back of his neck also saying in a high pitched voice:

"W-what? M-me? Nah nah I'm not scared."

"Sure" I rolled my eyes.

"Our families are out there and there going to get us out."

"Yeah.. while my family is probably yelling and blaming your family.." The top of the clam suddenly pounded while yells were heard. "And hitting things.." he sighed.

The giant clam suddenly jerked down as Finn fell on me.

"Is it just me or is it getting hotter in here?"

"That.. that would be the volcano about to erupt.." I coughed while Finn's eyes filled with concern. "I- I think something's wrong with my rebreather. I'm not getting enough oxygen."

"Done and done" He took out an old pirate thingy and pressed a button before air bubbles headed towards the top of the clams head. He swam up and took off his mask before gesturing me up. I smiled and swam up before taking off my mask. Taking a breath I thanked Finn.

"Mom? Mom do you read?" I asked into my communicated.

"Copy that, you okay Ashely?"

"Mom.. we're running out of air!"

"Don't panic, be calm. We will get you out."

The giant clam fell but dad, mom, Fontaine, Ant, Hammerhead, Mad Madeline, and even Jeffrey brought the claim onto the arronax where mom then sped of towards the surface were Ant got the clam to open up to feeding. Finn was holding me up by my arms and hopped out before we both started coughing out the water in our lungs.

"Ash!"

"My boy!"

Finn and I smiled.

"It was great escaping certain doom with you-"

"I play guitar"

"...You any good?"

"Yea"

"I- I play the trumpet when I'm alone" He whispered.

"You any good?"

"Depends who your asking"

"I'm really terrible" He shot me his goofy grin before waving goodbye and swimming back to The Dark Orca.
