I'm now afraid to open up to Mike.

Or should I say my biological father. I always thought of Mike as a guardian instead of a father. Roxy said that Mike wasn't our dad,so I immediately jumped to that conclusion. However, it turns out that Mike is my dad. Why would he lie to us about something important for every kid born into this world? I wish I didn't have to know about any of this. I feel betrayed because no dad should ever lie to their daughter about anything. Only one more thing I need to know,though. Where in the world is my mother who gave birth to me? All of a sudden my door opened slowly. I sat up on my bed alarmed,because it was so sudden. However,my nerves calmed down,when I saw Chase's light blonde hair poking in the doorway. "Hey, you got a minute?" he asked. "Um... Yeah, what do you want? I answered. "Look what I found." In front of me, Chase held a large red book,which had a solid gold title that had the word Uprising. "Where did you find it?", I asked while I took the book from Chase. "I found it in the attic,its a odd place to put a book,isn't it?", Chase answered."Of course it is,books are meant to be in a library.", I joked. However, my humor didn't last for long when I opened the book. A newspaper clipping and a photo were the only two things that were in the book. I studied the photo of the three people,however, the one with the dark purple hair caught my interests. Somehow, I got the feeling that I know this man. I just don't know where. I took a look of the newspaper that looked so prehistoric. The picture on the newspaper,had a building that was on fire, it made me feel sick to my stomach. Did I mention that I'm not a big fan of violence? I read the headline and the article, this is really a sick story. I know the people in the picture killed five kids, but was it necessary to burn them alive, I thought. I started to get chills down my spine when I read the last sentence in the article, there were no signs of their remains. I look up at Chase and told him "Oh great, my dad hid another secret from us!" Chase could tell that this hurt me, like a knife stabbed you in the back. "I'm afraid so, Michelle." Chase answered, sorrowfully. He went over to me and gave me a big hug,because he saw that I was about to start crying. This is why I liked Chase, he was like a big brother to me. He makes me feel that I'm not alone.While he hugged me, I asked him a question, which had to do with Roxy. "How are we going to tell Roxy,about all of this?" Chase answered " I don't know, Michelle, she won't take this easily, she's not the same anymore. Of course not, I thought. She changed so much.
