The Crime Scene (Mile's P.O.V)
God I need a break.
He thought to himself. Edgeworth never wanted to come to the crime scene or even do the stupid case. He had different plans. He had a ticket to go away for vacation. But of course he was called up for the case and asked to be the prosecutor for the case. He sighs while walking to the crime scene. The outside seemed.. normal. A regular chained fence, with the walls being pastel blue, but the brown door looked like it went through hell. Might hurt Detective Gumshoe's wallet if he saw that expensive door broken as if it was nothing. Edgeworth sighs and he walks inside and looked about in the hallway. The walls don't look messed up. Same rose patterned wall with some pictures hanged up. However, the rug looked off to him. He went on his knees and looked at the the rug. The rug was white but there was a bloody footprint.
"Don't tell me Gumshoe and his team skipped over this valuable detail."
He sighs in frustration and looks around for Gumshoe. He looked over into the kitchen, him talking to a forensics person. He sighs.
"GUMSHOE!"
"Y-yes sir!"
"Come over here and bring that fellow along with you!"
Gumshoe did exactly what Edgeworth told him. After all, Gumshoe is there at his every call.
"Inspect every inch of this footprint right now."
"S-sir!"
The Forensics person started to get to work quickly.
"Where's the murder scene at? In the bathroom I assume?"
"Yes sir! A-Also.."
"What?"
"Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey are up there too!"
Edgeworth sighs and shakes his head.
"Anyone else you invited in?"
"No sir!"
"Honestly, you might as well invite the whole block."
Edgeworth starts making his way upstairs. Edgeworth wasn't that mad that Phoenix and Maya were inside and inspecting the crime scene. Afterall, prosecutors and defense attorneys are not on completely opposite sides. They both do work together to some sort of degree to find the truth. Of who committed the murder, what the person's motive was and what's the pure truth of the crime. As soon as Edgeworth walked into the bathroom, he sees Phoenix and Maya inspecting the bathroom.
"Oi, don't mess with the crime scene too much now."
Phoenix turns his head and smiles at him.
"Edgeworth! What brings you here?"
Edgeworth damns him for having such a low IQ. Clearly he should know the reason why.
"Clearly the same reason as you Wright. Now if you excuse me, I'll go find myself some evidence."
"Don't bother."
Edgeworth looked up at him quickly with a puzzled look.
"What do you mean don't bother?"
"Just as what I mean Edgeworth. While you took your stroll over here, I discovered something."
"What could that be?"
"The murder scene wasn't taken in here."
"...What? Then where did it take place?!"
Phoenix took a piece of what looks like a bed sheet, torn from the rest of the material.
"It was done in the bedroom. Since why else would there be bed sheet cloth here in the bathroom?"
"What if it was used to soak up the blood?"
"True... but don't say anything until we at least look in the bedroom!"
Edgeworth sighs and follows Phoenix into the bedroom.
Phoenix goes to the bed and pulls back the cover and sees blood soaked up all over the covers and there would be some marks of a knife poked into the mattress and more importantly the bed sheet.
"Well..Now my men and I can scout out the place. Thank you Wright."
"Hey that's not fair!"
Maya pouted with an angry look.
"Ho ho, all is fair in love and court Maya."
Before Maya could say another word, Phoenix stops her in her tracks. Phoenix looks at Edgeworth saying,
"Maya it doesn't matter. Watch him slip up and leave a few hints that will make our client innocent."
Phoenix smirks at him and Edgeworth growls at him.
"I'll defeat you in 15 minutes of the trial Phoenix Wright!"
"Sure you will.."
Edgeworth wished that Phoenix was gone. He was an obstacle that he doesn't know how to get rid of. At least, not yet. Edgeworth looks at Phoenix ready to give him a glare but instead, he gives him just his regular face. How could he make a face towards Phoenix with his soft little face. Edgeworth looks at him and just sees a man who has lost something dear to him, just as he has, but hasn't lost hope or let that interfere with his life. Phoenix just looks like the embodiment of hope. Edgeworth sighs and walks downstairs. Phoenix just had a confused look and looked at Maya, asking her,
"Don't you think he would've done something before he left?"
Maya nods her head.
Edgeworth looks back upstairs, in hope to catch the defense attorney in blue. He did but only for a moment. He sighs in happiness. But then he caught himself.
No. Miles Edgeworth that is your enemy. You're not going to play the same tune as before. Besides he's taken.
Edgeworth sighs and walks out the door, going to his car to drive back to his office.
