Ethan POV

Alex and Sub rush into the tent, waking up me, Denis, and Corl.
"What happened??" I nervously question, in alarm.
"Where's Elijah?" I ask when I notice he's disappeared.
"H-He got taken!" Alex responds, wheezing. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN? HOW? BY WHO?" I fire questions at them, in concern for my brother.
"This young girl.. covered in blood.. took him!" Sub nervously answered.
"Is this a prank?" I ask.
"No!" They both answer.
"Guys, I don't fully know what happened, but from what I've heard, it sounds like we need to save him before it's too late!!" Denis says, breaking the back and forth questioning.
We all silently agree and run out of the tent, gripping our flashlights. My eyes feel the burning of tears forming in my eyes, afraid for my brother and what might happen to him.
"We need to split up," Corl decides.
"What? No!" Alex answers.
"It's the only way we have a greater chance of finding him faster."  Corl says.
"Have you seen any horror movies? It's never a good idea to split up!" Alex responds.
"Horror movies aren't real, Alex. Plus, it's the only way to find him faster. Braden is right," Denis claims.
"Well... Alright.. I guess you're right," Alex confesses
I start sobbing out of nowhere after trying so hard to hold back my tears. Everyone turns to me. After a moment, Sub finds his words and tries to help me.
"It's ok! We'll find him. We just have to be confident. Save feelings for later," Sub tries to reassure me.
"O-Ok," I say, sniffing and wiping the tears from my face.
Everyone gives me a hug and I suddenly feel ok.
"A-Alright," I say, wiping the last bit of tears from my face as everyone pulls away from the hug.
"Me and Sub will go left. Denis, Alex, and Braden, you guys go right. If anyone volunteers to go alone so we can find him faster, I highly suggest it," I declare.
"I'll do it.." Denis volunteers.
"It's important to find him and I'm willing to do what it takes," he explains.
Everyone looks at him in admiration.
"Thank you!" I say, leaning in for a hug.
He hugs me back.
"Alright. We should get going before we waste any more time," Alex suggests.
Everyone silently agrees. We set off to find him.
