Corl POV

We finally get everything situated and get ready for bed. I fell asleep within minutes because of the exhausting day. The ground is very uncomfortable, but I slept like a baby anyway.

3 hours later

Sketch POV

I hear a cracking noise in the middle of the night. It sounds like the rustling of leaves or the breaking of a twig. I automatically go into panic mode. What if it's an animal? Or a person?
I wake up the person closest to me, which happened to be Corl, who was sound asleep. I vigorously shake him until he gets up.
"What?" He says with a raspy voice due to the fact that he had just woken up.
"I heard something outside.. Like the rustling of leaves or something," I nervously confess. "It's probably just the wind," Corl says, shoving his face into his pillow as if trying to tune me out.
He's probably right.. I'm overreacting. Right? I lay in bed for about an hour, not even getting a second of sleep before I hear it again.
"Elijah, Did you hear that??" Alex suddenly awakens, nervously questioning me.
"Yeah, you heard it too?" I ask.
"Of course. Is there someone outside?" Alex asks.
"I'm not sure," I replied.
It seemed that our blabbering has woken up Sub, as he began to sit up and rub his eyes. "Did you hear that, Sub?" Alex asks Sub.
Sub shrugs his shoulders, showing that he has no idea what we're talking about. Me and Alex decide to investigate. Sub tags along since he's already awake anyway.
I open the tent to find a small girl in a white dress, covered in blood. She looked around 12 or 13 years old. I didn't know how to react. Her tangly dark hair was covering her face.
"A-Are you ok?" I ask, trying to hide my fear.
Alex and Sub emerge from the tent and stop. They had a terrified look on their faces. I look back at the girl, who had uncovered her face. She had eyes of all white and her face was drenched in blood, to the point where it dripped off of her.
"RUN," Alex whispers.
Sub and I decided it's obviously best to obey him, as this girl was not friendly. I ran, ran as fast as I could, afraid to look back. After about a minute, Alex started slowing down.
"Alex, Come on!!" I yell to him.
"I... n-need... m-my inhaler," He said, wheezing in between breaths.
I slow down with him, although it wasn't safe for me to do so.
"You can do it!! Come on!!" I try to reassure him, even though I began to grow tired as well. Sub says the same, which gives Alex a boost of confidence.
However, since I was too busy checking on Alex to make sure he was ok, I tripped over a branch. I felt a sudden rush of pain through my leg and a gush of blood.
They try to help me up, but the girl grabs a hold of me and drags me away. I scream like bloody murder as a desperate cry for help as tears flood down my face.
Alex and Sub chased after the girl to save me, but she was too fast. I watched Alex and Sub get farther and farther away as the girl runs faster and faster. My vision becomes dark and cloudy. My mind goes blank.
