23. So We Meet Again

Y/N's POV

At the end of it, Snape had given me permission to no longer have to show up to Hogwarts formally. I gave the Headmaster one final look before disappearing. The millions of thoughts that had flooded my mind were still there as I made my way to my next destination, Malfoy Manor. It would be wise of me to inform Voldemort of my departure from Hogwarts and tell him some made up story that would allow me to go ahead with my own business.

When I arrived at the Manor. I was greeted by no one, there was something off about the house. I had a sinking feeling that something was going on. I walked down the corridors until I was outside the door that lead to the drawing room. I could hear voices from inside, one prominent voice that stood out to me was Bellatrix's.

I straightened my suit, adjusting my tie before bursting through the grand doors. It took me a few mere seconds to scan the area and make sense of what was going on. Bellatrix looked ecstatic, Draco looked terrified, Lucius looked desperate and Narcissa worried. I looked briefly at the Snatchers who I had no care for. My eyes immediately darted towards the victims and I almost let out a gasp when I saw it was indeed Harry, Ron and Hermione. I looked at Hermione and she looked back at me. She looked tired, she looked like she had many sleepless nights and she looked terrified but nevertheless she was still the most beautiful girl I had ever had the pleasure to set my eyes on.

"What is going on here." I asked, demanding answers and enforcing a sense of authority that the others - bar Bellatrix - were instantly submissive to.

"I don't remember inviting you here to the party." Bellatrix snarled.

My stone cold gaze met hers. "I don't ever recall needing an invite Bellatrix," I said her name distastefully, "and if you must know, I was looking for my grandfather."

"He isn't here, but we were about to call him," Lucius proclaimed, looking at Draco, "is it them Draco? Think about everything, think about the Dark Lord's forgiveness."

Draco looked petrified, he was paler than he had ever been before. His voice was barely louder than a whisper. "I...I don't know."

In the time that Lucius was interrogating Draco about the three, Bellatrix had strolled over to where the Snatchers were and there was a loud bang which caused almost everyone to jump.

"Where did you get this sword?" she whispered to Greyback, one of the Snatchers. She had the sword of Gryffindor tightly gripped in her hand and Greyback bound by magic on the floor with the other Snatchers unconscious.

"How dare you?" he snarled, showing hispointed teeth. "Release me, woman!"

"Where did you find this sword?" she repeated, brandishing itin his face. "Snape sent it to my vault in Gringotts!"

"It was in their tent," rasped Greyback, "release me, I say!"

She waved her wand, and the werewolf sprang to his feet, but appeared too wary to approach her.

"Draco, move this scum outside," said Bellatrix, indicating to the Snatchers, "if you haven't got the guts to finish them, then leave them in the courtyard for me. Go with him." she added, looking at me.

"You do not have the authority to command me like that." I replied, my voice laced with subtle aggression. "And I think I'd quite like to stay."

"Fine." Bellatrix almost screamed. "Draco. Out!"

Draco scampered off and with the help of his mother, he removed the Snatchers - minus Greyback.

"If it is indeed Potter, he must not be harmed." Bellatrix muttered, more to herself than to the rest of us. "The Dark Lord wishes to dispose of Potter himself."

There was a pause before she spoke again. "The prisoners must be placed in the cellar, while I think what to do!"

Lucius tried to dispute her. "This is my house, Bella, you don't give orders in my-"

"Do it! You have no idea of the danger we're in!" shrieked Bellatrix.

"Take these prisoners down to the cellar, Greyback." Lucius commanded, looking at Greyback.

"Wait," said Bellatrix sharply, "all except...except for the Mudblood."

My heart dropped, she was going to hurt Hermione. I couldn't allow that. I started frantically trying to think of what I could do whilst retaining my composed, dignified nature.

"No!" shouted Ron. "You can have me, keep me!"

Bellatrix hit him across the face: the blow echoed around the room. "If she dies under questioning, I'll take you next. Blood traitor is next to Mudblood in my book. Take them downstairs, Greyback, and make sure they are secure, but do nothing more to them...yet."

As Harry and Ron were escorted away, it left myself, Lucius, Bellatrix and Hermione.

"I'm going to go find my family." Lucius declared before walking away, none of us really caring.

"Are you staying for the show?" Bellatrix taunted at me once Lucius had left. I stood there, almost paralysed. There was a lump in my throat as I made eye contact with Hermione who looked at me, begging for me to do something. Bellatrix didn't have time for any more pleasantries and began her torturous interrogation.

"How did you come into possession of this sword?" Bellatrix demanded.

"I-I don't know." Hermione answered timidly.

"You're lying, filthy Mudblood, and I know it! You have been inside my vault at Gringotts! Tell the truth, tell the truth!" Bellatrix yelled and with a wave of her wand Hermione let out a terrible scream.

I felt part of me break, I felt part of me yearning to do something, to kill Bellatrix but I knew it would be too rash if I acted impulsively.

"What else did you take? What else have you got? Tell me the truth or, I swear, I shall run you through with this knife!" Bellatrix pointed her knife at Hermione's skin, the tip of the blade carving into her skin, causing Hermione to cry out as her blood trickled down.

I had never hated myself more in this moment, my eyes were drawn to what was happening yet I wasn't doing anything. I was paralysed, I was letting this psychopath torture the love of my life.

"What else did you take, what else? ANSWER ME!" Bellatrix continued, her knife continuing to carve into Hermione as Hermione's screams echoed off the walls.

"How did you get into my vault?" Bellatrix screamed, continuing her torture."Did that dirty little goblin in the cellar help you?"

"We only met him tonight!"

Hermione sobbed. "We've never been inside your vault...it isn't the real sword! It's a copy, just a copy!"

"A copy?" screeched Bellatrix, the knife continuing it's movements as Hermione cried out again.

The anger was fuming inside of me, all rational thought that I had ever possessed disappeared within me. In this moment, all I felt and saw was blood. I jumped forward, brandishing my wand and sending a spell towards Bellatrix that sent her flying away from Hermione's body. I rushed towards Hermione's side and saw the words Bellatrix had etched on her skin: Mudblood. I muttered every single healing incantation that I knew it hopes of helping the unconscious girl.

"You traitor." Bellatrix snarled, pure hatred in her eyes as she looked at me.

I gritted my teeth. "Don't you even think about laying another finger on her."

"You dare help the filthy little mudblood-"

"CRUCIO!" I bellowed, the light hitting Bellatrix causing her to scream in agony. "Do you fucking like that?"

Bellatrix shuddered on the ground. It was the sound of Bellatrix's pained screams that alerted Lucius, with him bursting into the massive drawing room of the Malfoy Manor.

"What is going on." Lucius questioned, concern laced in his voice. He took one look at Hermione on the ground with blood coming out her arm, Bellatrix on the floor in the corner and me standing up with my appearance messy and deduced what was happening.

"You...you...you did this?" Lucius whispered, looking at me.

I looked at the cowardly man. "I suspect you always knew Lucius. You took me in when I was proclaimed dead, I'm sure you knew I could never be the Malfoy heir you so desperately wanted."

Lucius looked at me, all colour draining from his already white face. He was at a loss of words. "The Dark Lord will be hearing about this."

He rolled up his sleeve, ready to summon Voldemort but it seemed like Bellatrix, mustering all the strength she had inside her, beat Lucius to it. She cackled and pressed her forefinger against the Dark Mark.

Fuck, I didn't have much time before Voldemort arrived. Filled inside with hatred for myself, for Bellatrix and for Voldemort, I finally snapped. Lucius Malfoy tried to approach me and was just about to curse at me when I retaliated.

"SECTUMSEMPRA!" I casted, remembered the spell I had fell victim to in the bathroom. It was directed at Lucius Malfoy and he fell down immediately, hundreds of cuts slicing his body. His blood splashing all over the floor, some of it getting onto me.

Greyback burst through the door, obviously hearing the commotion from the cellars downstairs. He looked at me and snarled. It was all so fast paced but I wasn't thinking anymore. I just acted on my impulses. Bellatrix attempted to send a spell in my direction and it hit me, causing me to stumble backwards. I knew I had been cut somewhere as blood was dripping down my face but I ignored it.

Greyback rushed towards me, keen to bite me but I shot him away with a spell, stunning him. In the corner of my eye I could see Hermione conscious, looking at me. At that exact moment, Harry and Ron burst through the door their wands all pointed at me and the others.

With a wave of my wand, I pushed Harry, Ron and Hermione to the far corner of the room. It was at this moment I realised I possessed magical capabilities much greater than I thought.

"YOU TRAITOR!" Bellatrix snarled again back on her feet.

This was it, this was the moment.

"GET OUT OF HERE," I bellowed to the trio who were in the corner, I could see panic in their eyes as they scrambled frantically trying to escape.

As I saw the three Death Eaters all ready to kill me, I sucked in a deep breath and yelled with all the strength within me.

"AMICUS EX INFERNO!"

The tiger constructed out of Fiendfyre erupted out the tip of my wand and as I manoeuvred it around me, everyone around me looked at me in shock. The tiger let out a ferocious roar before it charged at the three Death Eaters. They all let out a screams of pain as the fire engulfed them and the rest of the room. I glanced desperately at Hermione and the others in the hopes that they would escape. I looked over and I saw other figures joining them, looking like they were about to Apparate. They had to go before the fire engulfed the entire room, I tried so hard to control the fire but the fatigue that was consuming me made it harder and harder for me to direct where the fire went.

I looked over at them desperately, it looked like they were about to Disapparate away just before the fire had reached them but only just. I saw a glimpse of Dobby accompanying them and I saw them all become a blur as they Disapparated away just as the fire engulfed where they once were. I internally cursed, I could have sworn the fire had touched them and I prayed no one had been harmed. Once everyone was gone, I let out a scream and yelled the incantation that would subdue the flames. Once my tiger was gone, there was silence.

I looked at the damage, the drawing room was no longer the prestigious room it had been earlier, it was burnt, ruined and filled with the smell of burnt corpses.

With blood dirtying my hands, face and shirt, I dropped to my knees. Here I was, alone in the Manor surrounded by the victims of my violent outrage. Bellatrix was dead, Lucius Malfoy was dead, Fenir Greyback was dead. Voldemort was coming and I would be the one he would seek for answers.

Narcissa and Draco Malfoy both rushed in and when they saw the scene, when they saw the dead bodies and the destroyed room they both let out gasps.

"I don't want to kill you," I said quietly, looking at floor, "please don't make me."

I looked up and saw them look at each other and then look at me. Something told me that they wouldn't say anything. They took one last look at the scene and scampered off - if they were smart they would get far away from here. Draco gave me one last look, one filled with sorrow before the door slammed shut.

And just like that, I was alone again.

A/N: If you needed a visual description of what Y/N did there's a bit in the clip of Dumbledore and Voldemort's duel in the Ministry Atrium 0:45 to 1:20. The fire that Voldemort produces is similar to Y/N's but it is a tiger instead of a snake and part of it surrounds him (like Grindelwald's spell). When Dumbledore uses his hand whilst casting his spell to send Harry back, that is essentially what Y/N does to the Golden Trio.
