1. Muggle Adventures
Y/N closed his eyes and focused on his destination. The Burrow. He had sent Nick a letter earlier that day and told him that he was going to collect him and that Nick should be waiting for him just outside the Burrow. Y/N didn't want anyone else to see him, just Nick.
As Y/N arrived at his destination, he saw the familiar outline of the boy just a few metres ahead of me.
"Nick!" Y/N called out, his eyes adjusting to the dim light. It was the crack of dawn and he was surprised the Sawyer boy had even been able to wake up.
Nick turned around and made his way towards the L/N boy. "Hey Y/N."
"How are you doing?" Y/N asked.
Y/N had already apologised to him for what he said at Dumbledore's funeral, he seemed to of forgiven Y/N quite quickly. The boy told him it was a spur of the moment sort of thing and Nick somewhat understood.
"I'm alright, it's early though." Nick said, stiffling a yawn.
Y/N nodded. "We're good yeah?"
"Sure we are," Nick said, "I have to forgive you cause otherwise you'll kill me." he added bluntly.
The two boys looked at each other before they shared a laugh as they walked, the sun rising behind them. Around Nick, Y/N felt like he could be himself again, be the cheerful and happy boy he once was before everything happened. With Harry, Ron and Hermione, Y/N had to keep up the F/N pretence around them and he had already ruined his bond between all three. However, with Nick, everything felt back to normal for the boy.
"You ready to Apparate?" Y/N asked Nick. The two of them were going to have a Muggle day out, with Nick taking Y/N to what the Muggles called a 'football match'. Nick nodded and grabbed Y/N's arm and within seconds, they arrived in an alleyway in London.
Both were dressed in Muggle attire, with Nick wearing just a denim jacket over a white t-shirt and jeans and Y/N wearing a black hoodie and jeans. The Y/N boy was able to revert to his old identity and there was no need for him to magically dye his hair blonde, he was back to his H/C hair.
The London streets were filled with workers rushing towards their jobs, it was still quite early and Y/N was merely just following Nick.
"How are you and Hermione doing?" Y/N asked, trying to make conversation. Part of him was jealous but he had accepted the fact that maybe Nick would be better for her.
Nick shrugged. "We're alright, no hard feelings?"
"No hard feelings," Y/N said, "plus I'm with Madison now."
He wasn't really sure whether he and Madison were really together. He did think she was quite attractive but their relationship wasn't as innocent and wholesome as his and Hermione's. It was more of a physical relationship, it helped to take Y/N's mind off Hermione.
Both him and Madison both had a lot in common, they were young, they were cold and they were both Death Eaters. Madison grew up in an evil household so she had no idea about society's constraints and saw murder as nothing but a fun hobby.
Both Y/N and Nick travelled down the road and stopped in a small cafe only to get some breakfast. They sat down and immediately, a waitress came up and took their orders.
"How can I help you?" a middle-aged woman in an apron asked.
Nick looked up from the menu. "Just a fry-up and a cup of tea please."
The woman nodded. "And what about you?"
"Uh..." Y/N squinted at the menu, "just the same as him."
The woman nodded and collected their menus and walked towards the front of the cafe. Nick took out his wallet and produced some Muggle money.
"I would offer to pay, but I've only got wizard money." Y/N said sheepishly.
"No worries," Nick replied, "I haven't used any money in ages."
"I'll pay you back though," Y/N assured him, "Gringotts does an exchange service."
Once the two boys' breakfast came, a plate filled with sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns, eggs and fried toast, they tucked in and devoured their meal.
Upon eating, a feeling of nostalgia and sadness passed through Nick. His mum used to make the best fry-ups and eating this painfully reminded him that his family were gone. Although the Weasleys had treated him extremely well, he still missed his family every single day and there was a lot of hidden resentment inside him against the L/N boy who murdered his family.
"Nick?"
Nick turned his head around and saw a very familiar face.
"Axel!" Nick exclaimed, getting up from his seat and embracing his childhood friend. Axel Smith was a boy around both Nick and Y/N's age with messy brown hair and brown eyes who was just a little bit shorter than Nick. He was Nick's childhood friend and after Nick moved away to their isolated home in the middle of nowhere, Axel stayed in London. However, the two boys still stayed in touch.
"Who's he?" Axel asked, pointing at Y/N, sounding quite rude.
Y/N reckoned it would be safe to tell Axel who he was. "Y/N L/N, friend of Nick's."
Axel nodded. Not saying much else. Y/N was a bit taken aback, Axel seemed like a bit of a douche.
"What brings you here?" Axel asked. "How's the family?"
"We're here for the Arsenal game," Nick told Axel before his face fell slightly, "and well...the family's dead."
Well that was one way to put it.
Axel burst out laughing. "Nice one Nick! I almost beleived it for a second."
"He's not lying," Y/N said simply with a shrug, "I killed them."
Axel jumped back slightly hearing what Y/N had done. "Why isn't he in prison?"
"I've got my ways," Y/N said, "and if you tell anyone I'll kill you too."
Axel merely looked at him with shock before turning away. The two boys reconnected with each other whilst Y/N merely sat there in the background, every few minutes, Axel would glance at him cautiously. Once they had finished catching up, the three of them made their way to the Emirates stadium. As they edged closer and closer to the stadium, the pre-game atmosphere was fantastic. There were fans everywhere all talking excitedly, Y/N and Nick looked quite out of place since they weren't wearing an Arsenal top but Axel, sporting his home Arsenal jersey, fit in like the rest of the fans.
When they were walking towards the stadium, Y/N noticed something extremely strange about Axel. Every once in a while, there would be a random object fly across the road. Y/N assumed it to be wind, but it wasn't a very windy day. The boy kept a close eye on Axel since it seemed like this source of magic was coming from him.
"So," Y/N said, "Axel, tell me a bit about yourself."
Axel stopped and looked at the boy, suspicious." Like what?"
Y/N shrugged. "Just a bit more about you."
Axel reluctantly told Y/N about his life. His parents were divorced and he lived with his father, he didn't get a say in which parent got custody of him but his father was extremely keen on keeping Axel's mother out of his life. There was something that was different from Axel to Y/N, he seemed magical and he seemed like he posessed magical powers.
After a while, Y/N decided to leave the boy alone and continue walking towards the stadium. Nick told Y/N that they were watching the North London Derby, Arsenal v Tottenham. All three quickly made their way up towards the seats they had, they were quite close to one of the goals and it gave them a pretty good view of what was happening.
The match was interesting, but not as interesting as Quidditch, the majority of the time Nick had to explain what was happening to Y/N. Axel sat next to Nick, and spoke to him, but the Smith boy never seemed to of wanted to talk to the dangerous L/N.
With Arsenal triumphing over Tottenham, the match concluded and the three of them made our way to the exits. They were going to try meet some of the players, but there were already too many people standing there and none of the boys felt like getting squashed by many fans.
"What should we do now?" Nick asked.
Y/N shrugged. "Whatever you want Nick."
"Let's try go to a pub." Axel suggested.
Axel looked at Nick who merely shrugged to indicate that he really didn't care what happened. In the end, they followed the crowd of fans to the nearest pub. None of them were eighteen yet, so getting drinks could be a problem but they was sure that they would be able to pass and ID wouldn't be neccesary.
The three boys stepped into the pub and looked at everyone there. There were Arsenal fans and bitter Tottenham fans who had just suffered a loss, this was a recipe for disaster.
As Axel, Nick and Y/N made their way to the bar at the front to get a drink, a Tottenham fan approached Axel.
"Hey," he slurred, he was obviously drunk, "take that garbage off you."
The man was pointing at Axel's Arsenal shirt and made aggressive movements to rip the shirt off Axel.
"Get your hands off me you prick!" Axel said angrily, causing other fans to notice. Tottenham fans came behind the man to back him whilst Y/N and Nick, plus some Arsenal fans came to back Axel.
"Piss off won't you." Nick said, annoyed.
The man pushed Nick slightly, causing him to stumble back and hit the pool table.
The fight was brewing and the L/N boy could sense emotions running high, when Axel saw what the man did, he shoved the older man back. Then it all went down, Tottenham fans all started ganging up on Axel, Y/N tried to interfere but it seemed like Axel had it all sorted...
The main Tottenham fan let out a scream as he was thrown back by what seemed to be an invisible force, he crashed into the wall with the Darts board and the board came crumpling down on him. The surrounding people all let out a gasp and the man now had blood trickling down his cheek. To them, it was almost impossible how the man was thrown back so far but Y/N knew it wasn't. As Y/N glanced at Axel, he saw him pocket something that looked oddly similar to a wand...
"Let's get out of here." the boy said quickly, dragging Nick and Axel with him. Once they had made their way to the main street, Y/N forced the three of them into a corner.
"Don't bullshit me," he said to Axel, staring directly at him, "you're a wizard aren't you?"
Axel gulped slightly and Nick watched, eyes wide.
"Yeah..." Axel said quietly, "I am."
