Jimmy hadn't shown his face since the incident to anyone. So during the 300k influencer trivia, both Addison Rae and GeorgeNotFound were rather confused about the burns along the sides of his face and arms.

"I'm not answering the question until I know what happened." The young TikToker seemed to agree with the latter's notion.

"Uh... it was from a scrapped video..."

Mark's eyes were so wide, full of excitement. A man of all things science, fun, and just a sprinkle of chaos was finally getting to see a several-month-long plan come to fruition.

"Jimmy?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you-"

"You keep saying that and I'll tell you again, there's no need. I just like doing cool stuff for other people and as much as this a prank on CJ, it's more about making you happy. And if nearly doubling your world record will do that, then I'm happy to!"

"Hey th- NOPE, NOT SAYING IT AGAIN! See I caught myself. No, but it really means a lot. Elephant toothpaste is one of the coolest things in the world, you've gotta see it for your own two eyes and imagine what it's gonna do on a house!"

"I wanna see some smashed windows and broken doors!"

"And that's what you're gonna get." Karl approached them shortly after while Mark and some employees began sealing up doors to avoid the mess from reaching other houses.

"Come on, we're gonna go pick up CJ!"

"Alright then. Is everything ready Mark?"

"Just about! Go get him. We'll finish up final preparations here."

"Thanks, man-"

"Uh uh uh, you can't say it if you're not letting me!"

"But it's just proper manners!"

"Quit you're teasing," Karl replied lightly. "Let's go get him."

"Ya! Cya then."

"Cya then..." As Jimmy followed Karl out into the street where the car was parked.

"Uh, some of the cameramen can take my car- MY KEYS!"

"Huh?"

"My keys! I left them somewhere in the house. They're on this keychain that's a merch prototype. Reed would be upset if they got ruined. How about you and Brady lead the next scene and I'll show up after CJ gets slimed. It's important I've got these."

"That works. You go get those keys ok?"

"Mhm." Since they were boarding up the front door with extra protection, Jimmy decided to go into the house from the backdoor, careful around the activator for the toothpaste. Starting upstairs, he began his search for the keys. Anything bright blue and pink that sticks out amongst the houses dull colors.

It was eerily... quiet.

Almost every day, Jimmy spent his waking moments around people whether if employees, friends, family, or fans. The silence was making his ears ring. But everyone was prepping for the explosion of chemicals... Why is it so quiet? Was everything already ready? His search continued downstairs.

"You don't think anyone is inside right Chris?" Mark asked as he picked up the trigger.

"Nah, everyone is either outside or almost back with CJ. Speaking of which, there is the car! You ready?"

"Yep!"

Jimmy's eyes widened. It was in the living room! He went to the backdoor but- shit it was locked. The level of panic he felt was one he'd never felt before. Jimmy made a bolt for the nearby doors and windows.

"Pulling the triggers in 30 seconds!" The car pulled into the driveway, safely far enough from the chemical reactions and CJ couldn't help but sigh. What had his lunatic brother done now?

"SOMEONE LET ME OUT!" The sound of pouring echoed in the room. He wished that maybe the deafening silence lasted just a bit longer.

"YOO THAT WAS SICK!" There was clapping as Mark marveled at the sight. He knew it would work but the rainbow of chemicals was still breathtaking every time. Cameras following along CJ went out back, following Karl's lead.

"Oh my god... what did you guys do to my house!" There was a beat where Jimmy would normally fill in but...

"Hey uh where's Jimmy? We can do another take when he's here." Chandler filled in, peering over their shoulders.

"I thought he'd be out with you guys." Karl began.

"No..." Chris replied, nerves tickling at his tone. "He went with you guys to pick up CJ right?"

"Nah, he stayed back to find his keys. Left em somewhere in the house."

"Well, we never saw him leave-" Everyone went pale. Heavy realizations burdened on their weak conscious, Mark made a dive for rubber gloves.

"I'm going in-"

"Mark don't be irrational! He could be anywhere on the property! I need Zach and Brady going up and down the entire property for where he could be hiding." Chris took charge of the situation, though hardly keeping a straight face. Horror laced in his veins, he wished his prayers for the best would be answered. However, the way he gave up his extra jacket for Mark to prepare for a deep dive into the elephant's toothpaste told a different story. Zach and Brady came back empty-handed. "You don't have to do this. I have Chandler calling 911! We should wait for someone-"

"He could die if he stayed in there any longer! Elephants toothpaste can cause burns and is probably suffocating him with how much is in the living room." Opening up the backdoor, he yelled inside. "JIMMY!" ...No answer. No proof of movement either. Karl had accessed security cameras and showed that he was in the living room 5 minutes before the blast. So that's where he was starting. Pulling up a face mask, it was the best protection he had against it. On top of that were an extra jacket, some rubber gloves, boots, and eye gear. He was ready as he was ever going to be. The steam was hot enough to send any rational person away in panic and tears.

But Mark didn't land the Curiosity Rover with rationality.

The first few seconds in the green, he could handle the stuffiness but his first move was to recoil. Persistence was the only thing letting him move forward. Even with the protection, he could still feel burns against his exposed skin, body screaming to escape before his flesh would have the chance to melt or distort against the intense heat but- It surprisingly didn't take long for him to find Jimmy who had collapsed a few feet away from the window. Voice muffled through the mask and the slime, he did his best to project.

"I'M GONNA GET YOU OUT OF HERE!" He didn't speak, opting to grab onto Mark's leg and follow it up to his arm since his vision was blurred by the slime. It was a slow process, but Mark was able to get Jimmy out of the house, fresh cool air never being such an amazing gift before. Jimmy has once again collapsed to the ground. He wasn't in there for more than 2 minutes but now the chilly afternoon breeze felt like dry ice on his skin. Coughing up more elephant toothpaste that got lodged up in his throat, it was Chris and Chandler who rushed to his side with water in hand.

"Do not use water yet! Get him to cough up as much as possible then have him rinse with water." Mark shouted as he tore off his layers. Anything with traces of the slime was off right away so he could help with tending to Jimmy as quickly as possible. However when he tried to approach him, one of the employees stopped him.

"You just went through all of that too. Go rest for a minute-" She was only met with a glare before Mark sat down next to him, rubbing off as much of the slime as possible. Deep red marks were already beginning to form up and down his body and his heart just crumbled. Ambulances drove in and Chris desperately tried to rationalize exactly why they filled a house with elephant toothpaste and why no, it was not a crime. After showing them their 50 million subscriber YouTube channel, they backed off and drove them to the hospital.

Jimmy, and reluctantly Mark spent a few hours at the hospital, getting treatments and their diagnoses came in quick. Both had 2nd-degree burns, however, Jimmy had a deep partial-thickness burn which would probably leave permanent skin discoloration. Meanwhile, Mark had superficial second-degree burns on just his face which were likely to clear up within a few weeks at longest. Reed and Chris took charge of the situation, Chris keeping up to date with the doctors directly treating them and Reed setting up both Jimmy and Mark for a dermatologist to keep up with their injuries and make sure healing goes smoothly. They both assured Mark that until his burns were healed, he'd be able to stay with them and if his wife and son were too worried to stay at home, they'd pay for them to come to North Carolina.

It was nighttime when they finally released them. While Mark just had to avoid himself or things touching his face, Jimmy was going to have to suffer with his hands being basically useless. But even out of the hospital, Jimmy was still rather shaky. Was it from the burns or something else? Back at the house, Jimmy put on a robe and some soft sweatpants before collapsing on the couch. But even in what would normally be considered a peaceful living room, he could still pick up on so much. The flames on his skin contrasting the cold AC sounds of overlapping words and noise picking at his mind, flashing on the TV battling his clear sight...

"Jimmy...?"

"Everything's too noisy... dunno how my vision can be loud..." He mumbled before Mark came to a realization.

"I think you're having a sensory overload, hang on a sec." Turning off the TV, he returned a few minutes later with a blanket, a sleeping mask, and noise-canceling headphones. Carefully avoiding the burns, Jimmy put each of them on while making room for Mark on the couch. The ringing in his ears slowly went away and the entire world just felt calmer. Laying his head on Mark's lap, he let the pain of the Elephant's Poison seeping into his skin dissipate with the presence of a friend...
