Yeah my Grandma watched me like a hawk for a couple of days after that, not that I'd blame her though, as she saw me burn myself while cooking at 2am, (which was already quite worrying), and then temporary forgetting how to speak English, if that's not 'watching like a hawk' material then I don't know what is.

Anyway I was at drama with Ms Darbus, (which was actually pretty interesting, but I get why someone might not find it interesting if they're not into the performing arts), and she was talking about the Autumn extravaganza, because duh... She's the drama teacher.

Anyway, swiftly moving on from that not a bombshell, I had Tessa as my drama partner, which had my teenaged lesbian heart flutter, because she was my girlfriend, (though not for long...).

"The pink suits you Lacey"
"You think so?"
"Yes I do think so"
"Why thank you me Lady"
"(Giggles), you're welcome"
"Right, we're supposed to act like lovers, well that shouldn't be too hard"
"Well it depends on how we play the lovers, are we going for the 'I can't live with or without you' lovers or the 'soulmate' lovers?"
"You choose Tessa"
"First one"

Anyway, we did that, as you do, (wow Lacey, so descriptive, Shakespeare is shaking in his boots), (ah, the art of sarcasm is one that I quite enjoy), and so the bell went, (as it would have a want to do at the end of the lesson), so with that I went to my next lesson.

The next lesson wasn't that memorable, (though to be honest with you here, most of the lessons that I had during my time at East high weren't that memorable, that sounds so shitty I know).

So after that, it was lunch, (which meant more time with Tessa), (as Jane was doing some guitar thing that day), and it was nice, (I don't really want to go into more detail here though, not because it was unremarkable or anything, but it was just before everything went to shit with Tessa and I).

When I finished school for the day, I took a walk around town, (wow I sound like a proper townie now, don't I?), but I did it to clear my head rather than just because, ya know, (or maybe you don't know, I'm not gonna assume that you know everything that I explain here as I'm not exactly the easiest to understand here, ya know babes).

So I get to my Grandparents house, as you do, and Grandma was at the table when I got in, (probably looking over some last minute work things or something like that), Grandad was still at school coaching the basketball team, (which he had been doing for like 30 years at this point in time, ya know).

"Hey Sweetheart, how was school today?"
"It was school, I did go for a walk after school today"
"Well that's good, how do you feel after it?"
"My head is a bit clearer now after the walk I did, thanks"
"Good, I'm glad to hear that Sweetheart"

So I went upstairs to get into my pyjamas, as I wanted to be comfortable, (and what's more comfortable than pyjamas?, I'll wait), once I was in them, well I just chilled a bit before I had to start studying, (I find that I study better this way, I couldn't even tell you why that is, as it just is, ya know).

I couldn't really tell you what subject I was even studying for at that moment, I just knew that I had to do it, (yeah I have actually blocked out quite a lot of my time at East high, well I blocked out my time in New Mexico in general if I'm being completely honest with you here).

Not long after I had started to study, well Grandma had called me for dinner, (which was always a family affair, ya know babes), so I went down the stairs and all that Jazz, (as you do when you need to go and eat).

"Hey Lacey Lou, how was school today?"
"Meh, it was school Grandad"
"Ok, uh, how's Tessa then?"
"She's alright, bit stressed about graduation already"
"Are you stressed about it Sweetheart"
"(Sighs), I'm just stressed when I'm around her-"
"Is that healthy Lacey"
"Probably not, but what can ya do"
"Not continued to date her if that's all you feel about it"
"Maybe"

Yeah, 17 year old me did not see the signs that this relationship was tanking faster than you could say yeet, (which meant that it was a fucking whole ass hot mess here and I just didn't see it), I don't think that I could go into more detail at the moment without getting so angry that I would see red.
