06: Eat or die

Blair woke up faster than she had ever in her her life. As if she was thrown in a cold water and her senses were sharpen for just a mili second before they start to fade away.

She jerked her neck back that hurt as soon as she saw ocean blue eyes staring at her like they would eat her. Blair blinked, again and again and again. Her constant blinking brought a smirk on the face that was so close to hers as if they might collide. 'You're so hot.' The man commented.

When Blair was fully awake, did she realise that the man standing right in front of her was the one who kidnapped her. She stood up only to be pushed back into the chair. Her eyes horrendously looked upon the ropes that hugged her and the chair all together. She made another vain attempt to use her feet but she was again pulled back. 'Easy sweetheart, you'll hurt yourself.' The man caressed her face and she whipped it away.

'Who are you?'

'Oh, sorry.' The man brought a chair in front of her and sat on it while putting his one leg over the other. 'I'm Ace.'

Blair stared at him. He was so chill, so cool. His tousled, thick brown hair were in a undercut and were pushed back stylishly. On either side of his symmetrical, freckled nose were mesmerising ocean blue eyes that hosted flicks of light. Blair graced her eyes on his chiselled jaw, highlighted cheekbones that accommodated a few of freckles too and a scar that ran down from his left eye to his cheekbone. His thick brown eye brows enhanced his ocean blue eyes on a his tanned skin further more. He had the kind of looks for which people would stop halfway.

'Anything else?'

'Why did you brought me here?'

'Cause I liked you.' He answered cockily.

'You're lying.' Blair mustered up the courage and said.

He leaned in. 'Ever watched the movies?' Blair nodded. 'Did you not learn to never —never provoke your kidnapper. Specially when he is loaded with weapons.' He fished out a knife from his pocket and caressed it gently on Blair's cheek. Blair gulped down and choke back her tears. Her fear for weapons only brought an increment in the shakiness of her body.

'P-please.' She begged. She leant back as much as she could but the chair was not big enough.

Ace stood up and stepped towards her. 'Seems like you are scared of knives.' He smirked. 'It'll be more fun then.' And then, he put on the pressure and Blair yelped. She expected her body to be drowned in blood but she barely felt the warm liquid.

'Ace.' Blair instantly recognised the voice that interrupted Ace's activity and came from the door. Blair looked at her left.

Ace was apparently pissed off at Adrien's appearance. He turned around ever so slowly. 'Yes?'

'Bring her now.' Blair watched Adrien who didn't even cast a single look at her. Blair held her breath as Ace used the knife to cut the ropes. He heftily hauled her up with her left arm.

'Ouch.' Blair exclaimed but Ace simply rolled his eyes and dragged her out of the tiny room to outside where a car stood in front of them. Ace pulled her towards the car. Just as he was about to open the door, his knife fell off. He bent down to pick it up while Blair made a attempt to run away but Ace was not fool himself as he pulled her towards him, more strongly, more painfully.

'This is not how you play babe.' He smiled fake at her and pushed her in the car and closed the door behind.

He rounded the car and sat with Blair from the other side. He wore a black suit as if he was a bodyguard too. 'Let's go.' He said and car cams to life.

'Why did you brought me here? What even have I done?'

'That you exist.' Ace answered. 'This is what you have done.'

'What do you mean?' She asked him.

He put down his phone and casted Blair a-Don't-you-dare-say-another-word look. 'Look, I'm too pissed off Ok? I didn't get to sleep good in the morning cause I had to baby sit you.'

'But—

'Shh...' Ace placed the knife flatly over Blair's lips which worked amazingly to shut Blair up. Ace leant in and whispered in her ears. 'I don't like girls who talk so much and when I don't like something ... dot dot dot.' He said.

She watched the traffic passed by her. Her eyes begged for freedom, her legs itched for running and her hands shook on her lap as she tried to stay still for the fear of the knife. She knew it was not her Edinburgh. She was somewhere else. Somewhere too foreign to accommodate her. She wanted to ask where she was brought but thought otherwise.

The car slowed down in front of a huge gate that when opened, let the car in the most biggest driveway she had ever seen in her whole life. The house projected as a castle more than a house to her. Just as the car drove on the drive way, Blair noticed fountains, garden that might be just behind that enormous house.

The car halted right in front of the house. 'Get out. I'm not opening doors for you.' Ace said in a stern tone as he got out. Blair didn't. She remained seated— rooted to her spot, afraid that her movement might trigger this horrible nightmare.

She watched Ace who entered in the house and disappeared. She looked around but suspected no one so she unlocked the door and broke into a run only to be skidded to a halt as a man came walking towards her. 'Where do you think you're going?'

'Let me go Adrien.' She pleaded again. Why was she pleading? He betrayed her, abandoned her. But she needed an escape. Even though the house seemed luxurious, the intentions were cheap.

'Get inside.' Adrien made no effort in bringing a change in his tone that was as cold as ice.

'Adrien ...'

He took a intimidating step forward shutting Blair up, 'Get inside.' He said again calmly and so she did.

She needed a plan to escape and even though she was as naive as people assumed her to be, she spent 10 years on her own. She knew how to fight her own shit.

Adrien was right behind Blair who mounted up three stairs and stepped into the house that assisted a prodigious lobby decorated with a mammoth chandelier and expensive furniture. 'Charlie.' Adrien said loudly and in a second, a butler appeared who had bright blue hair and was too brawny for his post. Blair tried to keep herself together.

'Yes sir,' Charlie bowed his head.

'Take her to her room and make sure she doesn't leaves it.' Adrien ordered and he too vanished into the vastness of this house.

Charlie, the Butler moved forth and gently asked Blair to follow him who, too scared, didn't move. She looked behind. The door was still open. She could still run. 'I won't do it if I were you.' The butler informed her and tugged on her shoulder to come with him.

'Let me go.' Blair said as she began moving back.

'You can't miss.' He said. 'The doors seemed to be open, but locks are already placed on your feet. You can't run away.'

'What have I done? Why am I brought here?' She asked him.

'You are scared miss. You need rest. I'd suggest you to move in to your room and clear your mind off all the things.' He again tugged on her elbow but Blair snapped it out of her grip.

'I won't go.' And she again, made an attempt to run but someone held her back. It was Adrien.

'I told you to take her in her room.' Adrien hissed at Charlie.

'She won't come.' Charlie argued.

'Then drag her and throw her in her room if that's what you have to do.' Blair's breath hitched listening to Adrien's words thinking that this was the man she chose to trust. Adrien did Charlie's work himself as he towed her behind him upstairs but Blair argued and tried to get rid of his grip. Adrien opened one of a door from thousands of rooms and threw her in.

'Please don't do it.' She said . How miserable she felt to herself? 'Please.' But Adrien, as if deaf, didn't hear Blair's pleas and dynamically, closed the door. Blair ran to the door that was already locked. She banged the door, tried to open it, hit it, kicked it, punched it, yelled but all in vain. She was trapped. She was trapped in an unknown place for an unknown reason. She banged the door again and again until her hands hurt as with tears rolling down her cheeks, she slipped down the door and on the floor.

After how long, Blair herself didn't know when the door was knocked. 'Miss, it's dinner.' It was Charlie who opened the door and found Blair curled up in the corner with her knees pulled up to her chest. She felt like her twelve year old again. She reminisced that day again.

Charlie placed the tray of food on the nightstand right beside her. 'You need to have some.'

'Take it away.' Blair said in a ragged tone.

'I'm afraid I can't. It's boss' orders.'

'Take it away!' She yelled at him.

Charlie said nothing but he simply left the room.

After a while, Adrien entered in the room and stepped forth towards a angry Blair in the corner. He bent down by her. 'I was notified you refused the dinner.' Adrien spoke ever so calmly.

'Why have you brought me here?' Blair asked her. 'What have I done?'

'Eat the dinner. You have been hungry for so long.' Adrien said coldly.

Blair, on another trial of refusal to answer her questions, furiously slid the tray down the nightstand that created a good mess on the floor. 'Then let me starve to death.' She said with the rage bubbling up inside her as she looked in Adrien's baby blue eyes.

Adrien's jaw clenched but he still didn't show any emotion. 'I think you were grown enough to understand the situation.'

'I'm not.' She hissed. 'For whatever reason you brought me here, that will never be accomplished. You fucking traitor.' At this, Adrien in a blink, grabbed Blair's throat and pinned her against the wall.

'I've been playing nice with you Blair and let's pray I keep on this role.' Adrien's breath feigned on Blair's face. 'Provoking won't lead you anywhere. Do whatever I say and things would be easier for you. I'm the one who sets rules here. Break one and you'll be dead in a blink.'

Blair tried to speak but she couldn't. Her throat was being pressed too hard and she could feel the blood rushing up to her face. And then Blair heard her own heart being broken as she heard Adrien's words.

'Eat or die. I don't care.' He let go of her throat and walked out of the room closing the door behind him. When Blair heard the door been locked again, she lost her spirit and soon had her tears rolling down her cheeks as she sat there in the darkest corner of the room with the scariest feeling from a broken heart.

Blair didn't even knew when she fell asleep. When she woke up, her head was clung to the wall and her legs were still with her chest. She pulled them down and experienced a relief in the joints of her legs.

Using the nightstand and the wall, she picked herself up when she became aware of the numbing pain under her feet. When concentrated, she remembered about the night when she stabbed her foot and was kidnapped. Her legs were swollen, her chest was heavy and her eyes were tired of crying.

Dragging herself to the bed while saving her from the mess, she fell on it when the door's lock was clicked and it was opened. 'Oh, you are alive.' Ace asked.

Blair placed a hand on her chest was too heavy for its own good. 'I thought you must've suicided or something like that.'

Blair looked at him and then looked down. Each and every muscle of hers hurts like it all had been cracked. She was too weak to even look up. Too weak to even feel that she fell back on the bed and felt the fingers of the darkness blindfolding her eyes.

Blair opened her eyes as slowly as she could. She was on the bed but without any covers. Right, who would care to put some covers on the broken Blair. She was alone, as ever.

She sat up on the bed and looked out of the enormous window of the room that was called to be hers. How would she live in here? Among them? They said to clear her mind but how could she do it? Mind cannot be cleared. It's a wrong sentence. Mind is too full to be voided. Where would you put the thousands of thoughts that had inhabited the mind? The mountains of memories? The sensations? The experiences? No, it cannot be emptied. It can only be ignored for a fraction of time.

The moon had taken over his duty. Lightening up the sky it was created for, allowing the sun to have some rest by using its light. Ironic.

Blair got up, and then fell back for her body was too feeble to handle her. The hunger of three days reached its peak. It was like a monster that clawed her insides. She placed a hand on her stomach  and looked at the tray of food that was placed on her nightstand. She stared at the food, a plate that was covered over the other, a jug of juice, one of water, cutlery wrapped in napkin, another plate of fruits and a pastry presented well.

She tore her eyes off the tray. I will not eat this. She told herself. She tried to get up again, on the third trial, she succeeded and went in the bathroom to refreshen herself only to see a a weak girl with her blonde hair messed up. Sweat glistened her forehead and her pale recessed cheeks stained with tears, her eyes all bloodshot and tired. She looked like she just had gone through a war in which she lost.

Her skinny wobbly hands turned on the faucet. She placed her fingers in the water and watched as it continued flowing despite the obstacle. She scooped up some water in her palms while letting the rest leak through them— and splashed it on her face. She did it again until her eyes could be opened. Just as she was about to wash her face again, she heard a faint noise from her room.

She closed the faucet so it was all quiet. She had good hearing and so depicted another noise. Using the walls, she walked out of the bathroom and looked around in her room but found no one.

The tray on her nightstand had shifted as the plate covering the other was only covering half. She squinted her eyes and looked at the door of her room. Who could come in? She shook the feeling off her shoulder and walked out in the room.

She whipped her neck back as she felt someone was behind her. She blamed such sensations as a cause of her hunger but she needed to be sure so she walked towards her door, opening it, she exited her room. She was still clinging to the door knob for she couldn't stand but she needed to find someone to let them know that she could not afford being kidnapped again.

A girl, flaunting in her heels and swaying her hips in her mini shorts walked towards Blair. She paused and looked down at Blair —she wore extraordinary high heels and Blair doubted how she managed to walk in them. 'You must be The Blair.' She said in her high pitched voice.

Blair didn't look up at her not that she didn't want to, she couldn't. Lifting up her head feigned much energy that her body lacked. 'I need to talk to Ace.'

'Why?' She spat.

'I just need to.' Blair argued.

'He's not here.' The girl answered. 'Want me to deliver a message?'

Blair considered this offer but soon rejected it. She couldn't trust any stranger. 'Nothing.' Blair said, twisted the door knob and with two steps, found herself back in her room.

She couldn't walk, couldn't sit, couldn't do any could. She just wanted to be vanished. She stared at the tray again and finally her ego was crashed down by her hunger as she limbed towards the tray of food and like a hungry beast, gobbled it downer throat to her stomach.

Just as she was halfway, she noticed another movement behind her. She looked into the mirror and saw a shadow behind the curtain. Fear and panic began evolving in her but she gulped down and stood up. 'Who's there?' She asked but the shadow wholly dissipated.

Just as she was about to run out of her room, a hand gripped her wrist and made her fall on the bed. Her shriek was muffled by another hand on her mouth belonging to the person that was basically atop her. 'Shh.' He said.

Blair's eyes widened and even though she wanted to say a lot, she didn't. 'I won't hurt you. I promise.' He said. Blair calmed down and he removed his hand from her.

'Mike?'

What are your thoughts on Ace? (His picture is in the cast so if you are interested, go check it out.)
What do you think about Adrien? Do you still ship Blair and Adrien? If yes, then comment me down their ship name.

Thank you so much for reading.

I'll try to post one more chapter before I take a break from writing. Keyword: try.

But anyway, it's so good to read your comments and views.

I'll see you soon enough.
