Before leaving the room Neil turned on the night light and left the door slightly ajar. He sighed as he walked into the kitchen to find JJ resting her head on the table watching a video.

"Hey honey," he whispered as he leaned down to kiss her head. "Let's get you some food." JJ paused the video as she watched him. "It's still pretty hot, but let me know if you want me to reheat it." He carefully placed the bowl down beside her. "Also I've got something to talk to you about." She watched as he turned around. Her eyes settled on his thighs before he turned her way again.

"Sounds serious." Once setting the bread down on the table, he took a seat beside her. "Is this about the story? Or the laughing when you were telling-"

"No," he said with a laugh. "Lara told me you like her more than me." Neil watched her smirk and raised an eyebrow.

"Well you know what the best part of this relationship is? Apart from the sex of course." He leaned forward, his breath fanning over her face. His breath tickled her neck and she tried her best not to squirm as she held eye contact. JJ smiled and she noticed his eyes glance down at her lips.

"Enlighten me cara..." he whispered.

"You know when you whisper that in my ear it drives me a little crazy." Neil chuckled deeply as he put both his hands on her waist. He then sighed. "I'm really sorry about today. About the whole not telling Lara thing. And before you say anything it's not okay. I never should have put you in that position where you were forced to tell her."

"What's done is done, Jay, " he whispered. He pulled her closer, hearing the chair scrape against the floor. "I promise you from now on I will be more open about it all. I'll sit you down and talk to you about it properly so you fully understand." Leaning closer, he gently placed his lips against hers. She rested her hands at the back of his neck. "Turns out my mum already told her when she saw us kissing on Saturday."

She smiled before kissing him again. Her thumb grazed the back of his ear and he let out a moan as he pulled her in deeper. With their lips still connected, she slowly got up and placed herself on his lap. "Baby," she whispered as she pulled away. His hands rested on her bra strap. "Do it."

"You're not well... I just-"

"I'm well enough to know that I'm sitting on something that's happy and ready for me." With a laugh, he pulled her back down for a kiss before reaching for the bra strap again. JJ slipped her hand through his jogging bottoms as she pulled away from the kiss.

"Cara," he groaned. "You're so fucking beautiful you know that?"

"I know." Without saying a word, Neil stood up, still holding onto JJ. She wrapped her legs around his waist with a giggle. "I love sex with you, you know that? I feel like you get my body and you know what I want. Is that weird?"

"Well I'm glad." He gently placed JJ onto the bed. "Now let's get these off." His hands slowly crept up her waist before taking off her t-shirt. Her bra fell off and he stood up, looking down at her. She reached for his t-shirt but Neil quickly moved out the way. He closed the door, making sure to lock it. "I'm gonna be honest cara... I've never had sex with anyone whilst Lara was here. I mean she's two rooms away but...I guess you'll have to be my first." Neil chuckled as she stood up, walking towards him. "So you my dear will have to be a little quiet this time. I mean don't get me wrong, I love how much noise you make but..."

"I have you know I can be quite quiet and if anything, just kiss me if I get too loud."

"Noted. Now if you don't mind, I've gotta please my woman." He gently pushed her back so she fell onto the bed. She leaned back on her elbow as she watched him take his clothes off. "I am in absolute awe of your body cara," he said as he put his hands on her thighs. "but for me to appreciate it all I will have to take these off. Spread your legs a little wide and-"

"Neil if you don't hurry up I will-"

"What's that, sorry?" He towered over her until her back was flat against the bed. He brought her hands above her head and smirked when she let out a gasp. Keeping a hold of her hands above her head, he let one hand trail up her stomach. His fingers slowly travelled up until it cupped one breast. "Don't rush me Cara," he whispered in her ear. "Let me make you feel good." He leaned down, brushing his lips against hers. "Don't you want me to make you feel good Cara? Make your eyes roll back as you moan my name. JJ moaned beneath him as he kissed her stomach. He gently pulled on her trousers until they were around her ankle. "Neil..."

"Don't rush me," he mumbled as his hands slid along her thighs, separating them as he brought his body closer to her again.

"Tell me what you're going to do with me."

"I'll tell you what you're not gonna do. You're not gonna leave this bed unsatisfied, I assure you of that."

He kissed up her stomach, in between her breast before resting his lips on her neck. "Do you really want to know what I'm going to do to you?" he whispered in her ear. When morning came Neil turned to his side. Finding it empty, he pat down to find no one beside him. With a groan, he opened his eyes. Seeing that he had another hour left till his alarm went off, he turned to the nightstand to pick up his phone.

Two new messages. He rubbed the sleep away from his eyes before turning on the lamp. The white paper caught his eye. He lifted it up and unfolded it.

'Neil,

Haven't fucked and left, as you so brilliantly put it. I ended up waking up at like 3 because my ear started hurting and I was moving a lot and didn't want to wake you. So I decided to go home. And yes before you say anything, I will make an emergency doctors appointment because I'm positive its an ear infection.

Just wanted to say last night was beyond amazing but I think I may be a little sore so we'll have to give it a few days. Although I did send you a photo to remind you what you'll be missing. With a frown, Neil picked up his phone and opened up JJ's contact. It was six which meant there was a good chance she was awake as she was usually up. Biting his lip, he contemplated whether to call her or not. Giving in, he raised the phone to his ear and heard it ring a couple times before she answered.

"Hey," she said with a sniff. Her voice was husky and he knew straight away she had been crying.

"What the hell is wrong with you? Come over right now otherwise I'm walking into your flat and pulling you out through the letterbox."

He heard her sniff again and sighed. "It's okay. I'm fine."

"To hell you are. I'm giving you two minutes before I come over myself."

"Okay," she mumbled. He heard her move around and pulled the blanket off him. "I'm stepping out." She hung up the phone and stuffed it into her pocket. Wiping her eyes dry she knocked on the door which was opened within a second.

Neil sighed when he looked down at her. He didn't say anything for a few seconds but then opened his arms. She gently placed the bowl on the floor before stepping into his arms.

"Honey... You should have woken me up before." Stepping back, he shut the front door. "Shh it's okay, I know it hurts."

"I'm sorry," she said whilst pulling back. Neil frowned as he wiped away her tears. "And I'm sorry I stole your soup."

"I think that's the last of my worries right now. But thank you for bring the bowl back. Go into bed and ill make you a cup of tea. We can get a good hour of cuddling in and I can tell you how silly you look in those bunny slippers."

She wiped her tears away with a laugh. "I don't want tea. I just want to lie down with you."

They both walked to the room and Neil sat her down on the bed. "Lie done Jay. I'm just gonna check on Lara and be back."

She nodded her head before pulling the blanket over her head. Neil kissed her warm cheek before stepping out the room. He walked down the hall and slowly opened Lara's door. As expected, half the blanket was on the floor. He walked to the bed and covered her properly before leaning down to kiss the top of her warm head. She always got hot when sleeping which was why the blanket always ended up on the floor. After a few seconds of looking down at her, he walked out and back to his room. JJ was buried under the blanket and he couldn't see her face.

"Hey, honey?"

"Yeah?" Her voice was muffled and followed by a sniff which meant she was crying again.

"Do you want me to call work and say I won't be in? I can drive you to the doctors and-"

"Don't be silly. I just want to use you for cuddle time and that's it." Neil smiled as he got into bed beside her. She shuffled beside him, burying her head in his chest. "The last time I had an ear infection was when I was in secondary school. I forgot how much it hurts."

"I know," he whispered. His fingers ran through her hair, getting stuck halfway. She shuffled, moving closer to him. "Since you won't let me take the day off... How about I take my half day today and I'll be back by two and we can cuddle for the rest of the day."

"But what if I'm sleeping when you come back?"

"Then I'll just quietly pull in beside you and hold you like this. Simple." He kissed the top of her head. "I'll tell Le to pick up Lara from day school and drop her off here."

"No, Neil. You don't have to do that."

"You're right, I don't have to. But I want to. So shut it."

She stayed quiet for a while other than a quiet groan when she was in pain. Eventually she settled down, her breathing was level and Neil looked down at her. With a frown, he softly pushed her hair away, tucking it behind her ear.

"Baby," she whispered. He hummed in response. "Thank you for everything."

"Don't be silly. You're my girlfriend, Jay. I'm meant to take care of you even if it's been two weeks."

"I meant what I said Neil. On our date. About falling for you." He kissed the top of her head again. The corners of her lips twitched.

"I meant it too," he whispered. "Go to sleep, cara."

"Wake me up when you're leaving okay? Then I'll go back to mine."

"it's okay. I'll leave you here. I trust you enough to know you won't do anything stupid. And don't you dare say anything. I know how long it takes to get comfortable when you have an ear infection, so once you're sleeping I'm not gonna wake you."

A knock on the door turned his attention away. Lara popped her head in with a frown.

"What's wrong tesero? It's quite early for you."

"I don't feel very well, daddy. My head is hurting." Lara walked up to him and stood by the night stand. He lifted his free hand to her head and frowned. It was quite hot. When he checked on her before she was a little warm but he put it down to the fact she always got hot when sleeping.

JJ opened her eyes. She put a hand on his chest. "I'll go back home, you take care of her."

"JJ can I sleep next to you?" Lara asked softly. JJ blinked. She watched as Lara crawled over Neil to get between them. "You're more comfy than daddy."

"Well since you're the only one that wants to use me," Neil said as he stood up from the bed. He walked to the other side of the bed. JJ shuffled a little as he lifted up the blanket. "She only wants you because you got boobs," he whispered.

"Like you don't like them as well."

"Of course I do. I mean for a whole other reason but I love them." He wrapped his arms around her with a sigh. "I guess I was meant to stay and look after you in some way then."

"Are you sure you don't want me to go home? She's not well and you should look after her properly. "

"Cara... I assure you I can look after the both of you. I'll call work around 7, let them know I won't be coming in."

She looked down at Lara who had her eyes closed tight. JJ slowly started to massage the top of her head. "Does she get headaches often?"

"Sometimes. I think it's mainly because she needs new glasses and for some reason the people at Specsavers were being weird and it took a while to get an appointment. Her glasses should be ready by Friday they said."

"Aw, poor monkey," she mumbled. Neil opened his mouth to speak. "And no you can't know why I call her monkey."

"It's because I jump like a monkey, daddy," Lara said opening her eyes.

"It was meant to be a secret."

"Well she's my daughter and she tells me everything. So shame," he taunted. JJ smacked his thigh. With a laugh, he pulled JJ closer to him. "The pair of you go to sleep."
