Jade's POV

"That's really nice, Jade. I'm happy for you", Fizzy said with a genuine smile.

We were currently in the cafe across uni where we usually hung out after classes.

I glanced at Jamie who silently sipped on his latte.

"Say something", I mumbled.

In the past fifteen minutes, I had narrated the entire events of yesterday which were exchanged between Dax and I.

Fizzy smiled occasionally, but Jamie kept a straight face and didn't speak a word.

I kind of think he secretly dislikes my Dax.

"Well, if you've talked about this with him and you think he's really genuine, then I guess it's fine", he shrugged his shoulders.

It's fine?

"That's all you have to say?", I blurted out and his head snapped up to meet my gaze.

"Congratulations!", he exclaimed with a fake smile, making me roll my eyes.

"Jamie, do you dislike my Dax?", I asked and his eyes widened.

"No, I don't. It's just that, I don't really get it why he would think of marrying you after meeting you just twice. It doesn't make sense", he waved his hands frantically.

"Not everything's supposed to make sense", I said and he looked taken aback.

Well, isn't this how you talk when you're supposed to be in love?

My phone went off, indicating a new text.

I unlocked my phone and a wide grin spread over my face.

Dax: Hey, Muffin. I'm taking you out for dinner tonight. Be ready at 7 x

"If it isn't lover boy", Jamie whined and I glared at him, making Fizzy giggle.

My phone rang in my hand and I glanced down to see Dax calling.

I placed a finger over my lips, motioning for Jamie and Fizzy to stay silent and answered the call.

"Hi, my Jade", he said, making my smile grow wider.

"Hi, my Dax", I said and I could tell he was smiling.

Jamie just rolled his eyes and continued sipping his latte, while Fizzy looked at me dreamily. 

"I'm taking you on a little date tonight, muffin. Be ready at 7, I'll come get you from your home", he stated.

"But, you didn't ask me if I want to come with you", I smirked.

"Oh princess, I know you definitely want to come", he chuckled.

Damn, his level of confidence. 

"I guess you're right", I smiled.

"Yes darling, I'm always right", he said in a dreamy voice.

"Alright, I'll see you later, my Dax", I spoke, not knowing how to reply to his previous words, or if I had to even reply to it or let it go.

Damn, I over think.

"Bye, my Jade", he said before hanging up.

"Well, well, well, looks like lover boy is taking his princess on a cute little date", Jamie cooed and I just rolled my eyes.

"I smell jealousy", I spoke and he waved his hand dismissively. 

"We should go shopping!", Fizzy squealed and I glanced at her.

"I mean, this is your first date. The two of you will be alone for the first time, so make it worth his while", she continued and I nodded, taking her words into consideration.

"Pfft, I'm kind of starting to dislike this cafe", Jamie said as we passed him confused glances.

"The last time we were here, you'll went shopping. This time we're here, you'll are going shopping too. This place is no good", he shook his head.

"The dramatic guy that he is", Fizzy rolled her eyes.

"Let's get going" I said, suddenly excited to find the right outfit for our date.

Fizzy held my hand as we stood up from our chairs, "Feel free to pay our check. Be chivalrous", she looked at Jamie.

He rolled his eyes as we walked towards the exit.

"Okay, we're going to find you the best outfit ever!", Fizzy said as we walked towards my car, before driving off.

I was tired by the time we reached the fourth store in search of a 'perfect outfit'.

Fizzy literally looked thoroughly at each and every piece of cloth and of course, couldn't find the 'perfect outfit'.

"If we don't find anything here, then I'll wear some old stuff", I told her and she gave me a look.

"You've got to be kidding me", she rolled her eyes and she kept looking at the designer outfits in front of her.

I randomly glanced around and my eyes caught the attention of a brown dress with a floral print over it.

I grabbed Fizzy by her forearm and dragged her across the store and towards the dress.

Looking at the floral dress on the hanger in front of me, I took it in my hand and I knew this was the one.

"It's perfect", she squealed and I smiled as I nodded in agreement.

"Finally, I helped you find the right outfit", she said clapping her hands.

"I found it myself", I glanced at her as I walked towards the fitting room.

"Yeah, but if I wouldn't ask you to drive to this store, you wouldn't have found this", she said as a matter of factly and I rolled my eyes.

I stepped inside the fitting room as I heard Fizzy mumble something about my make up.

I tried the dress on and boy, it was so gorgeous.

I snapped a picture of it and sent it to Jamie so that he wouldn't whine about me not sending him a picture of my outfit.

I swung the door open and twirled around as Fizzy excitedly clapped her hands and told me how beautiful I looked.

I changed back into my clothes from earlier and walked towards the cash counter to pay for my "perfect outfit".

After driving back home I had a good two hours until our date, but Fizzy was worried because she had only two hours to get me ready.

I took a really long shower because the hot water helped to calm down my slight nervousness, and I also wanted to waste some time to irritate Fizzy.

I took my time as I drying my body. I then put on my robe and walked out of my bathroom.

"I thought you wouldn't be out until Daxton arrived", she rolled her eyes and I just laughed.

"We have barely an hour and a half", she whined, making me smirk.

There was a short knock on my door.

"Come in", she yelled and the door swung open to reveal my mother.

"Hi girls, are you going out somewhere?", she asked as she walked inside.

"Yeah, I'll be going home and Jade's going on a date with her fiancé", Fizzy said and I bit my lower lip to control my smile.

"Oh, a date", my mom said as she looked at me.

"Yeah", I smiled and she reluctantly returned it after a while and hurriedly exited my room.

Fizzy was done fifteen minutes before Dax could arrive and I must say, she had done a pretty good job.

She curled the bottom part of my hair, making it look shorter than its natural length.

My make up wasn't too much, just a simple smoky eye and a nude lipstick, because I wanted a subtle look.

I put on a pair of magenta pink heels that looked good with my dress.

I grabbed my phone and we walked downstairs.

My parents were sat in the living room as they sipped on their tea, making conversation.

They stopped talking as the saw Fizzy and me.

"You look gorgeous, little one", my dad said and I smiled.

"Thanks dad".

"Do you really want to go out on this date?", my mom asked and I nodded.

"Yeah mom, I kind of like Dax", I said shyly and felt heat rush to my cheeks.

"She's crazy of Dax", Fizzy chimed in and I widened my eyes before glaring at her.

"You really like him?", my dad asked and I glanced at him.

"Yeah, I really like him", I said and he nodded.

"Can you please drop Fizzy to her place?", I looked between mom and dad.

"I'll do that. You enjoy your date", mom said and I smiled.

And just then the door bell rang making me nervous, again.

"Boy he is punctual", Fizzy joked, making us laugh.

I glanced at the wall clock and it was seven on the dot.

I couldn't help but feel nervous as I took my steps towards the main door.

Towards my Dax.
