A/N:

This chapter is a bit different than the others so just bear with me for it.

2 days after the infection spread:

A zombified and yet still conscious Pinkie Pie was making her way through a broken and disheveled Ponyville. There were a few survivors left that Pinkie had been feasting on, but her next target was a special one indeed. She had just passed by  Sugarcube Corner and toward Rarity's Boutique when she had spotted the white unicorn dodging between buildings with her little sister.

Pinkie giggles, "Ffffrrrriiiieeeennnnnddddd."

She hops over there, out of site and quieter than the average undead. She lurked around a corner and waited for the sisters to pass by. And as they do Pinkie pounces and Rarity, they crash into a wall.

"Sweetie Belle, run!!" Rarity struggles to say as she tussles with Pinkie, trying not to get bit.

As Sweetie runs away, Pinkie jumps off Rarity and chases after Sweetie.

"NO!!" Rarity shouts trying to catch up to them.

......But she was too late, Pinkie swoops up Sweetie and runs off with the screaming filly.

Rarity gave up the chase and turned around knowing that she had failed her little sister.

"I'm sorry Sweetie." she says through a waterfall of tears.

She then stopped and realized who there attacker was

"P-pinkie, why?" she says sorrowfully and rushes into the Boutique, "I don't understand, why did she attack us? She seemed more situational aware than the undead, but she was rotting and stunk, and was trying to bite me. I don't understand it, I wish Twilight was here to make sense of it all."

She went back to mourning the loss of her sister, and barricaded herself in the upstairs part.

Meanwhile:

Pinkie was enjoying her meal that once was Sweetie Belle. To her it smelt as good as a garden and it tastes better than a cupcake (lol, I couldn't help but reference the 'Cupcake' grimdark)

"Oooohhhh, it's soooo, goooood, I want moooooooore." Pinkie stands up leaving the remains of Sweetie Belle in an alleyway so that the rest of it would reanimate into another part of the undead army.
