I could tell that they were all looking at me. From the corner of my eye, I could see Aiyu rushing over to me. "What's wrong Lyra !?", she asked in a worried tone. I kept a steady gaze on my clenched fist. It was slowly beginning to become numb from punching the desk. I removed it from the surface of the desk and slowly began to close and open it. I hoped that I didn't leave a dent.

"Nothing", I replied faintly. "Don't.. worry about it." I stopped closing and opening my hand and dropped my arm down to my side. I turned to the class and pulled a feign grin. "Sorry about that", I said, and turned to the board. Behind me, I could hear shuffling. They were probably questioning my sudden outburst. Although I had a piece of chalk in my hand, I didn't know what to write.

How irritating.

"You had the nerve to bring me back after telling me that ? What kind of people are you !?", I shouted angrily, "IS EVERYTHING JUST A GAME TO YOU !??? YOU THINK I'LL LISTEN !??"

Such selfish people. I was on the brink of tears. No. I won't cry.

I won't let them get what they want.

"We want you to marry him. He's of a very wealthy family. You'll be meeting him next week. We expect you to behave properly." There was a dangerous look in their eyes.

And if I don't ? I smiled slowly.

Two can play at this game.

Just wait. I swear, I'll show you how a "good" girl behaves.

Don't underestimate this "broken" little girl. She still lives on.

"Yo ! Teach ! What's wrong with you today ?" I turned around and stared at Haru. "What're you talking about ?", I asked, narrowing my gaze at him, "Nothing's wrong." "Don't lie", Sho said from behind him. There was something about the way he was looking at me. "The look on your face is hella scary. What're you thinking about ? You make it look like you're going to kill someone." Heh.. I started chuckling. "If I ever killed anyone for the first time, I'll make sure that that person will be you", I replied, watching him give me a look of disbelief. "Oh, you just love me very much then teach", he said. There was an amused look on his face. "Dream", I replied.

Today, Aiyu led the lesson. After what happen earlier, I was sure that she knew something was up. I knew that she'd ask me about it later. Would I lie to her, or would I tell her the truth ? The entire time I sat at the desk, separating and organizing papers. Why was I so bothered ? Why did I even go back ? I stopped organizing and held a blank sheet of paper in front of me. I'm such an idiot ! Even if I cut my ties with them, that wouldn't prevent them from coming to find me. Even if I fought them, I would still be so weak. I would still be that small, pathetic, useless little girl that they abandoned a long time ago. They have that agitating younger sister of mine too, so why are they pestering me ? I don't get it. I smiled to myself. Perhaps she was rejected by all of those arranged marriages. Oh how I laugh.

I actually expected Aiyu to question me right after school ended. And she did when we walked home together. There was still that worried tone in her voice. It was rushed. 

"What's bothering you Lyra ?", she asked me, keeping and eye on the road in front of us. "Yesterday", I started off quietly, "I met them." She paused and stopped walking. I did the same. "How ?", she asked, giving me a stern look. "When you were out and I went to Akiyama for something. I was walking back and then poof. There they were." "They didn't do anything to you did they ?", she asked. I shook my head. "No", I muttered, "But I went along this time." "Why ?" Aiyu's voice was sharp this time. I sighed, and looked up at the blue sky. "I'm tired of running away Aiyu", I replied, "You should know that better than anyone else." "But still...", her voice trailed off. "I know", I mumbled. There was a momentarily silence. I didn't want it to continue.

"Do you wanna know whats going to happen ?", I asked. I looked at her and stared at her questionable expression. "What ?" I grinned. "I'm going to get engaged." The look on her face was as priceless as ever. Her jaw dropped and she was just standing there, looking at me with a "WHAT !?" like expression. I laughed. "You're not serious are you !?", she said, "Are you serious !??" "100%", I replied, keeping my composure. "To who !?" I shrugged. "As if i'd know", I replied, "Some rich guy or something." "Are you really going to go through to it !?" I stared at her in disbelief. "Aiyu, do you really think that I plan to get married at this age." She sheepishly smiled and placed a hand on her neck. "Hahaha...", she mumbled. I sighed and shook my head. "Besides, I'm just going for the fun", I said, "I plan to expose those people. I plan to tell them about how they're using the marriage for is money." "Risks", I heard Aiyu whisper. I grinned and patted her head. It caught her by surprised as she looked up at me in confusion. "Don't think about it too much", I mumbled, "You'll get distracted." She averted her gaze and looked back at the road in front of us. "Yeah. I'll try..."

I lightly punched her in the shoulder. "Hey ! What was that for !?", she yelped. "Brooding doesn't suit you Aiyu", I said with a grin. She punched me back on the shoulder. "Course not !", she shouted. We exchanged glances and then broke out laughing. "Oshiro-sensei would be on our case if he knew we were like this", she said through her laughs. "Oh now that I think about it..", I stopped laughing and looked down at my hands. "Aren't we supposed to be doing something at Akiyama soon ?"
