All this time I seen Maggie in pain. I was more closer than ever.

We arrived home. Erika was taking care of Marylin. "Hey guys! Welcome home"
"Hey aunt Erika. Thank you so much for taking care of Marylin." Maggie said
"Don't worry I had the extra help. Gerald your mom came by to take Marylin when I was busy with my meetings"
"Yeah my mom would help anyone"
"She a sweet lady. Did your brother went to talk"
"Yeah he did. We cleared up any misunderstandings" Maggie said. "Where's Marylin?"
"She's in bed."
"I'm go upstairs and see her" Maggie goes upstairs
"So how is she and the baby"
"Great but she's getting worried about Chance"
"It's her dad. I know how she feels. Chance has been with her mostly."
"Yeah. Chance has been a great dad for Maggie and Landon. He has been my role model for me. I want that kind of relationship with Marylin."
"Gerald your a great dad to Marylin. And you will have that relationship with her just like Chance had with Maggie"
"Well I'm go and check on Maggie" before I went up I got a message from Tessa "what's wrong Gerald"
"It's Tessa"
"What is it"
"I don't know" I started texting her:
Tessa: Gerald?
Me: what's up
Tessa: I'm at the hospital.
Me: your with Chance
Tessa: yeah. Doctors say he's in critical conditions. He's not going to make it
Me: what bout the transportation
Tessa: they say he won't make it
Me: how bad is he
Tessa: he's in a coma. He was with his friends drunk, he wanted to drive by himself and he crashed to a tree but he flew out of the car.
Me: what are we going do
Tessa: I don't know but Maggie can't know anything. She can't worry about nothing. It's not good for her or the baby.
Me: I know.
Tessa: I'll check with the doctors if it's safe for transportation
Me: alright but tell me if you need anything
Tessa: its fine
Me: no I mean it because I'm doing it for Maggie and Landon
Tessa: your really that nice man
Me: yeah I know
"Chance is in a coma"
"No"
"Yeah, and doctors don't know if he'll make it"
"Oh god"
"I'm not going to say anything to Maggie"
"No she's doesn't have to worry about anything"
"Go be with Maggie. I'll be in touch with Tessa"
"Okay" I went up stairs to our room. Maggie was with Marylin. "Hey"
"There's my girls"
"Has my mom called in"
"No not yet. Baby don't worry"
"I'm just.... my dad. This should never happen if I never told him to leave"
"Baby. You were just upset" I kissed her forehead "you need to be fine for our kids"
"Yeah" we stayed in our room all day. Maggie and Marylin fell asleep. "Love you guys" i whispered it to them. I turned off the tv and slept.

We were asleep. I heard knocking. I got up from bed and went to the door. "Landon what are you doing here? It's 3:30 in the morning"
"Gerald where's Maggie?"
"Sleeping in our room why"
"Tessa and my dad arrived. There at the hospital."
"G what's going on" Erika came to the door.
"Chance is at the hospital"
"Now?" She was surprised
"Yeah, we should go now"
"Babe, who's at the door?" Maggie comes to us "Landon what are you doing here?"
"Dads is at the hospital. He arrived last night" said Landon
"I wanna go"
"Mags." I told her
"No i wanna see my dad."
"Alright then. Landon will meet you at the hospital" I close the door "Erika can you take care of Marylin and call my mom that me and Maggie are going to the hospital"
"Yeah I will and drive safe" we left the house. Landon came with us.

We arrived to the hospital. "Maggie? Gerald? What are you doing here?" Tessa was surprise to see us
"Where's dad" she was in tears
"There checking him but you should be resting"
"No mom! I need to talk with my dad"
"Gerald?"
"I couldn't stop her"
"Now will wait" said Landon
"Where's uncle Tony and Kade"
"They went back to LA to get some paper work for your dad"

We were at the hospital for the whole morning. I was getting worried for Maggie cause she hasn't ate. "Relatives of Chance Sutton" said the doctor
"That's us" Tessa, Maggie and Landon got up
"Mr Sutton is in critical condition now. There's no chance to save him. We have a machine to keep him alive for a while"
"How long?" Maggie ask
"I don't know. It depends when his heart stops functioning or your decisions to cut him off"
"Mom! No!" She starts to panic
"It's not going to happen" said Tessa
"Can we see him now" asked Landon
"Um.."
"Please" Maggie begged
"Alright but just family. Follow me and I'll show you where he is" Tessa stares at us "you guys can go. I'll go later"
"G?" I went with Maggie and Landon. As we walked in to the room. I see Chance hooked up with many machines to keep him alive.
"Hi dad, it me your baby girl Maggie" she starts to tear up
"Sup dad" Landon tried to stay strong and hold the tears
"Hey Chance" I couldn't help it not to cry and see my wife in pain because her dad is in this stage
"Dad, I'm sorry for pushing you away on Marylin's birthday but I was just mad and upset but I know why now you couldn't tell us because you were scared how me and my mom were going to take it. Landon and G made me understand it. Please forgive me" she wiped off the tears
"Hey dad, look at us. Me and my sis Maggie together. This is how you wanted us right?" Landon's eyes were watery
"Chance, wow! I'm thankful because you'd show me to be the best person for Maggie and for my daughter Marylin. You are my role model but mostly you were my dad, a dad that I always wanted to help me and give me advice and beat me down when I do a mistake. Thanks Chance for showing me this to me"
"Dad please forgive me" Maggie grabs his hand
"Baby he forgives you. I know he will forgive you" I hug her
"Maybe we should go and give Tessa some privacy with dad" Landon suggested
"Yeah we should. Bye dad, we'll come and visit" we left the room and went back to Tessa.
We left the hospital. Landon and his girlfriend stayed with Tessa. We promise to go everyday.

The ride back home was quiet. Maggie wanted to be alone. My ma left my house but before she left, she hugged Maggie, James came later to check on us. Erika had to leave last minute to LA.
"Mags"
"Yeah G"
"Baby, everything will be okay."
"Yeah"
"You wanna eat."
"Yeah"

I couldn't see Maggie in these conditions especially her pregnant with my baby. I want things to go back to normal and have the old Maggie. The Maggie that I knew but I know it will take some time.
