Reality (14 years later)
Time does fly fast. Today Marylin is graduating high school. Wow! My little girl growing up. She was a baby then she grew up to be a singer. I know where she gets from. And also today I'm meeting Marylin's boyfriend for the first time. Now I get why Chance was on my ass when we were teenagers. I am overprotective of Marylin and Liz. That's what fathers do. Maggie is always insisting I should lay off for once because one Marylin is becoming an adult and two she showed us she's responsible. But we're still working on Liz cause she may be a drama queen sometimes.

It was 5:30pm and running kinda late.
"Mags?"
"Yeah babe"
"Are you guys ready?"
"Yeah we'll be down in a bit"
"Wow dad, I can't believe that ma, Liz and Marylin have to take a long time to get ready." Said Lucas
"I'm with Lucas. Everywhere we have to go, they're always needing more time to fix something like there hair, makeup or the outfit" sad Chance Jr
"Been living this for years but someday when you have a wife that takes this amount of time, just remember this" I told the boys
"Aye Chance. Do you think that dad is ready to give a full lecture to Marylin and scare her boyfriend later for the party or before"
"Betting $100 dollars before the party"
"No I'm betting during the party"
"Really guys. I'm already nervous enough to meet your sisters boyfriend and you guys making it worse. Why is he going to the graduation?"
"He's graduating at the same time as our sister dad." Said Chance
Mags comes down from her room. "Wow, Mags! Your beautiful."
"Thanks G" she comes to me then kisses me
"Get a room" Said Lucas
"One day you guys will do this" then Liz came down
"Do I really have to go to this?" Ask Liz
"This night is for your sister. She's graduating and it's the last time that she will be with us before she goes to LA." Said Maggie
"I just don't want her to leave. She's the only person that understands me."
"Me neither. I don't want my princess to leave yet."
"I thought I was your princess"
"You are"
"Okay I guess" we wait for Marylin. I feeling really nervous. I see Marylin coming down with her dress.
"Hey guys."
"Oh my god! Marylin, your so beautiful" Said Maggie
"Thanks mom"
"God! Marylin, my princess. Your grown up."
"Okay here we go again with the princess" Said Liz
"Thanks dad"
"Did Landon and Madeleine come yet" said Maggie
"They're on there way. My ma and James are meeting us at the high school" we were heading out
"Dad?"
"Yea Mari"
"Can I talk to you for a sec?" I stare at Maggie
"Go talk to her this your chance. I'll go with them and I'll meet you there." Mags kisses me and leaves.
"So what do you wanna talk about?"
"Dad, I know I've been your princess for a long time.."
"I know what your going to tell me, it's bout meeting your boyfriend"
"Yeah basically that"
"Mari I'm going to tell you something. The day that your mom told me she was pregnant with you, I was scare as fuck but I thought bout the three of us together maybe more kids in the future. I made a promise to your mom that I was going to protect you from everything. Today I'm so proud of you. Your graduating then going to LA. I'm going to miss you so much. When you were inside of your moms wombs, I wrote a song named Marylin. It's bout you. I explain everything how I fucked up so much, I thought I lost you and your mom but still have a chance together."
Marylin laughs and hugs me "Yeah. I heard that song but Im going to miss you to dad. Thanks for being there for us"
"No problem Mari. Well let's get going to your graduation." She puts on her cap and gown. We left the house. On our way to the graduation I put the song. "Dad no please" she laughed
"Yeah, because this will be the last time"
"No it's not going to be the last time dad"

we finally arrive.
"Hey grandma."
"Marylin. I'm so proud of you" my ma hugs Marylin
"Thanks grandma. Uncle J!" She hugs him.
"Mari, I never thought you would let us down because you were raise well from my brother." Then Landon and Madeleine came. "There's Marylin. Congrats." Said Landon
"Thanks uncle Landon"
"Ready to go to la?" Said Madeleine
"Yea but im a little nervous."
"It's okay but I'm so proud of your success Mari"
"Thanks aunt Madeleine" then Tessa came.
"Marylin!" She comes running to her, giving her roses.
"Nana Tessa. Thanks for the roses"
"Wow, your graduation. Just like Maggie. Your papa will be so happy if he was still here with us. Okay we're not going to cry. It's a celebration for Marylin success"

After the ceremony. My princess Marylin was officially a high school graduate. We went back to the house for a celebration. And meeting Marylin boyfriend.
"Aye G!" Said Landon
"Yeah"
"How do you think Mari boyfriend looks like?"
"True. Like she talks bout him but we never meet him." Said James
"Yeah I think the only person that met was Maggie"
"Can you guys stop making me feel nervous what I'm ready feeling"
Then I see Marylin holding hands with her boyfriend. I spit out my drink quickly hesitated. "Dad?"
"That your call G" Said Landon
"Good luck brother" said James
I walk up to Maggie. "Hey baby."
"Dad is is my boyfriend, Alex" he seems like a humble person for Marylin.
"Hello sir, it's a pleasure to meet you and your wife"
"I like him."  That's the first time I use that
"For real dad?"
"Yeah he doesn't look that bad, he's a gentleman. You have my blessing"
"Aw man so nobody is getting the lecture." Said Lucas
"So nobody won the bet" said Chance Jr
"What bet?" Said Maggie
"Nothing mom" the boys both hesitate
"Well you to go have fun but not to much fun" Marylin and Alex both leave. Maggie, Landon and James stare at me. "What? I made the right choice he's a good man for Marylin"
"Okay but that the first time I hear you say that baby"
"I agree with Maggie" Said Landon
"Did something happened to you G"
"No. I just want Marylin happy"

After the party everyone left. Marylin and Madeleine we're leaving tomorrow morning.
"G?"
"Yes Mags" she stares at me. "Marylin, Lucas, Chance and Liz are growing up leaving us one by one"
"Yeah but we still gotta work on Liz"
"Yeah. Time did flew by so quick."
"It sure did G" she touches my hand
"Maggie. I love you. Thanks for giving me this life that I always wanted. I know I told you this many times but I mean it"
"G you have been my best friend, and decision I made since you'd ask me out. We had our ups and downs but it still holds us together to have this family what we have. I love you Gerald"
"I want to continue living life with you Maggie"
"I do to Gerald."

So Marylin, Dylan and Madeleine left to LA to start with their career. Maggie and I stayed in the Bay Area with Liz, Chance and Lucas (we still need to work on Liz more) Landon stayed with Blake, my ma and James went to Canada for the summer. I really miss Marylin but we'd promise her that the whole family would visit her on July since it's Maggie's Birthday.

I never knew my life could change like that for meeting the one and then having a family
