I felt the pain of the burning surface of Tartarus and the horrible fumes and felt the cuts and bruises covering my body us going through eternal pain that it would never end

I heard a voice cackle I woke up in cold sweat and looked around to find Annabeth nestled in my arms I sighed in relief and shakily ran my fingers through my sweat matted hair and sat up we had been having nightmares like this ever since Tartarus so we slept in the same bed to keep each other company throughout the dark nights we didn't tell the others because they would worry.

I got out of my bed and went to the bathroom and splashed some water on my face.

I heard Annabeth sccream and instantly knew she was having a nightmare i ran into the room and shook her awake

"Annabeth it's okay it's not real" she woke up with tears cascading down her face and hugged me in fistfuls of hiccups she said "oh Percy it was horrrible you were dead i fell again alone..."

"It's okay sshh it's all over" i said soothingly as she cried. After a while she stopped crying and went to get ready for the day.

Annabeth and i went off to the dinning pavilion and sat down with our food, pondering at it not really eating.

Later on when we were halfway through breakfast Chiron slammed his hoof on a table and all talking ceased.

"I have an announcement i need to speak to the seven after breakfast about something important" Chiron said before trotting off.

*Later on*

We were all assembled in front of Chiron waiting for him to speak. Finally he did.

"Listen children, this is very important....Nyx is rising"

Everyone turned tu us automatically, but it was like we couldn't hear or see them. My world came crashing down and all of a sudden Nyx was there, standing behind Chiron.

She laughed a dry eerie laugh and smiled maliciously then said

"Now, it's your time to crack"

She snapped her fingers and suddenly for some strange reason i felt an uncontrollable urge to laugh and i did, it sounded like a demented persons laugh.

Annabeth joined me laughing crazily with an insane look in her eyes.

It had begun.
