I jumped on my horse as people screamed and chased after me. I whip the reins and my horse begins to gallop off. The wind blows through the rough fur of my ears as my horse jumps over fences and streams as guards of the Royal Kingdom chases me. I put my hood up and whip the reins again making my horse speed up. We reach the end of the kingdom and I look back at what I will always remember as my first home and last hell. "Hiya!" I whip the reins again and the horse goes running into the forest and I swerve it through the trees and quickly loose the guards as I look forward still determined to find a new place called home.

3 weeks later:
I walk on the hard ground pulling my horse my it's lead. We haven't had anything to eat in almost a week and a half and all we've had to drink was the cold stream water and I was starting to lifeless as all the fat in my body is burned away. "Alright Pepper let's take a break" I say to my horse as I tie her to a branch as I sink to the ground and close my eyes. My stomach growls and I groan in pain as a searing pain runs through my body. I shakily reach up to untie my horse...if I die I don't want her to die because I left her tied up. I tried so hard but I used all the energy I had left in my body and fell to the ground. Limp as a stick. My eyes started to flutter shut as my breathing slows down and everything goes black. I felt something warm sear into my body and then something sharp jab my side. I look around this strange dark place. But wait my eyes are closed. Am I dead. I see a girl with a long skin tight blue star dress with a circle trail on it and a white see through silk pasmena attached to it walk up to me. She had a small blue and white  peacock on her shoulder. She opened her arms and I got up quickly running to her smiling...

My eyes snap open and I look around the little cottage I was in. There's was barley any wood on the almost non existing fire and there was a tray of bread, cheese, and what looked like spoiled rotten milk on a table beside me. I try to stand up but my weak knees give out and I fall to the ground making a loud thud. I hear the door quickly creak open and a large body appears next to mine, picking me up and laying me on the hard bed. I look up to examine this person's fetures. They had stern and scary looking blue eyes, a long black braid with butterfly clips all the way through it, a black halter top with a black mini skirt that had a fluffy ruffled trail attached to it, they also had two black Wolf ears, and a black and blue wolf tail. "You need to eat. Right now and you better stop trying to get up. Your too weak for that you runt!" She barks at me and I whimper in fear as I grab the bread and start nibbling at it "I'll get you some new mil-" I cut her off as she goes to grab my spoiled milk "Is my horse okay?" I look nervously at her praying they didn't leave peppermint in the woods. The masculine female rolled her eyes and grabbed my milk "she's tied up in the stables" said the female before leaving and closing my door. I finish my bread and cheese as I look out the window and wondered where in the world I could be. I smiled at the different types of people who walked by. This kingdom allowed diversity and I loved it even though I didn't know anyone here. There were witches and wolves and meifwas a plenty. (Meifwas: cat girls/boys) My head turns back to the door when a different figure came in holding a glass of water. This women..women? They looked more like a small teenager! How old was this girl?! None the less she handed me the glass of water and smiled "I thought water would be nice because milk spoils quickly" they chuckle and set the milk on my table. I mutter out a thank you as I look them over and note everything.

I snap out of my thoughts when they begin to speak "so where are you from? And why were you out in the woods?" They ask bluntly as they sit on the table and stare at me. I look away and scratch my ears softly letting my memory come back to me. I hadn't even thought about how I got here "well..." wait I don't know this person! "Wait I don't know you! Or the other girl who came in! Why should I trust you!" I start panicking and crying. Oh no I feel trapped, my breathings fast and I gasp for air "I'm not your prisoner! You can't keep me here! I have my own mind!" I scream as tears stream down my face and the blue haired girls eyes widen and she quickly hugs me tightly trying to calm me down "d..damn I don't know how to deal with this..um..." The black haired girl stormed in and glared at the blue haired female "Eli! What the hell did you do! Ya little shit!" The tall black haired lady rips the female named Eli off me and looks over me scanning for any bruises before she slammed Eli against the wall growling, making her sharp fangs show. Eli flinched in fear as she whimpered "I didn't do anything Maddy! Please!" Eli screeched at Maddy and I backed up teary eyes and Maddy drops Eli before looking back at me "I'm Maddy and this is Eli. What's your name?" I bite my lip nervously "I..I'm Chestnut..." the words sputtered out of my mouth like I wasn't even sure. "Alright we will keep you here a couple of days and feed you before getting you up and building your strength" Maddy grabs Eli by the hair and drags him out and I look down at my arms and see a symbol flash onto my tatto and then stay there like a tattoo.  "A green rose..."
