The Day I Met You (A SHINee fanfic) Chapter 5 - These Feelings.

Taemin felt the heat leave and in its place came the cold that wrapped his hand. Their hands fitted so perfectly like her hand was the missing jigsaw piece, it was a foreign feeling that he had never encountered before. His heart yearned to slip his hands into hers to replace the heat he so desperately needed but he restrained himself.

She looked down to his hands and back to hers again. One minute he’s stuck to me, the next minute he isn’t, she thought.  She felt the need to say something but the way that they were looking at her; she decided it wasn’t a good idea.

“Was her hand really stuck to your hand?” Minho looked dubious.

Taemin nodded vigorously, Tang felt as if her heart shattered into a million pieces. He obviously hated holding her hand so much that he loved the fact that he was free from her grip. She slapped herself mentally. Why wouldn’t he be happy to be free from her grip? She was just a hopeless fan who had a crush on him ever since she set eyes on him. All she had to do was get out of here before she caused herself any more embarrassment.

Taemin cleared his throat, “I’m guessing that the sweat from our hands must’ve melted away the glue.”

Key looked dubious for a second but didn’t press the matter any further. He just needed this girl to so they could get back on schedule. They were a busy band after all.

Tang took this as her que to leave. She had caused enough trouble and humiliation not only for her, but for Taemin as well.  That’s what made her feel horrible. He would see her off quickly then forget about her by the time he had closed the door. Who was she kidding, she was only just a fan.

Minho clapped his hands together, signalling that he was ready to get down to business. “Well, we’ll be downstairs.” He turned to go downstairs before pausing to turn towards Tang, “It was nice to meet you…”

“Tang.”

He flashed a genuine toothy smile and walked downstairs. The others followed suit afterwards, each slapping a hand on Taemin’s shoulder and giving him winks. Taemin ignored their reactions when they started doing heart signs behind Tang’s back.  Tang didn’t notice she was too busy admiring her necklace. “Love” was written in the centre of the gold chain, the word was studded with diamonds.

When she realised that she was alone with Taemin, she did the only thing to make things better between them: apologize.

“I’m so so sorry. I really didn’t think...”

“I didn’t mean to-”

Their voices overlapped each other as they both started apologize. Tang smiled sheepishly as Taemin looked away from her face.  Tang couldn’t tell what expression he was holding because he looked everywhere apart from her face. She assumed that she was wasting his time so it was time for her to go.

She pretended to look at the clock on the wall and gasp, “Is that the time? I got to go.”

She started to walk downstairs, hoping that he’d say something. Say bye at least, but he remained silent. She heard the guys talk about random topics while she opened the door to step out of his house. She had finally completed one of her dreams, meeting SHINee but why did she feel so empty?
