Prologue or the beginning of the story
Hello the company!! I'm French and I wrote this story last year, in 2020. It has reached a little over 12,000 readings and I thought it might be a good idea to put it on Wattpad in English...?
I am far from being bilingual, so if I make mistakes in English... don't hesitate to tell me!
I hope this story will be read and here's hoping you enjoy reading it!

The star of Eärendil had already been visible in the sky for several hours.
The Lady Galadriel was coming out of Caras Galadhon, the splendid capital of her kingdom, the Lothorién.
The pale glow of the stars accompanied her on her journey.
Ú i vethed nâ i onnad
Si boe ú-dhanna.
Ae ú-esteli , esteliach nad.
Ú i vethed nâ i onnad.
Nâ boe ú i,
Estelio han, estelio han, estelio,
Estelio han, estelio meleth.
Esteliach nad, estelio han.
The melodious voices of the Lorién elves passed between the majestic trees of the forest.
The song resounded in Lady Galadriel's head and she walked, serene, breathing the pure air and soaking up the peace of the night.
Without realising it, she went quite far from the city, and soon arrived in a beautiful moonlit clearing.
She entered it and suddenly noticed a small shape on the ground.
Galadriel approached and saw a little elf about a year old wrapped in white cloths.
The elf looked at her, when she opened her eyes.
The little girl had very black hair and shiny grey eyes. Her skin was very pale and Galadriel suddenly feared that she was cold.
Delicately, she took the little girl in her arms, who was staring at Galadriel's long blond hair with her clear eyes.
Galadriel brought the little girl back to Caras Galadhon where she presented her to Lord Celeborn, her husband.
Her husband, surprised, decided that they would look after the girl together at least until they knew who her parents were.
Finally, days and weeks went by and no one had heard of a possible family for the little elf.
Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel chose a name for her:
Elenwë, which means 'the star'.
This name suited her perfectly because the little girl gurgled with pleasure every time she saw the stars.
However, the lords of the Lorién were surprised that she didn't speak. At that age, the other elf children were already fluent speakers.
When she had been living with the Lorién for almost a year, Lady Galadriel, supported by her husband, decided to invite Lord Elrond of Rivendell, their son-in-law, to ask him if he had heard of a family looking for their little girl.
Lord Elrond arrived a few days later, accompanied by Elladan and Elrohir, his twin sons, and Glorfindel. They stayed for five days.
Elrond had not heard the story of two elves looking for their missing daughter, so he could not help his parents.
On the last evening of their stay, Elrond stood with Galadriel and Celeborn in the observatory, at the top of the tallest tree in the forest.
Quite by chance, it was that evening that Elrond met Elenwë for the first time and she would not leave him for a long time.
They were in the middle of a discussion when she appeared at the top of the steps leading to the observatory.
The three adults did not notice her immediately, so Elenwë had time to approach them.
Galadriel looked up and saw her.
-Elenwë? What are you doing here?
The girl didn't answer and stared at Elrond's grey eyes looking at her.
Elenwë looked at Elrond's long black hair and grey eyes.
Time stood still as she approached the lord of Rivendell and spoke slowly:
-Ada?
Elrond's air of amazement was memorable.
-Sut?! (How?!)
Surprised, he looked at the two people he was talking to.
Galadriel and Celeborn looked as surprised as he was.
-Amin... (I...)
At that moment they were interrupted by Haldir who came up the stairs.
Horrified, he spread an apology.
-Díheno. Pardon my lords, she has escaped from her room again. I am really confused. Amin hiraetha. Please forgive me.
-Don't worry Haldir, it's true she's not easy to watch. The "Terror of Lorién" is quite turbulent!
Celeborn had sighed as she looked at Elenwë who had approached Elrond and grabbed a piece of her right sleeve.
Haldir walked towards Elenwë who smiled and blew by pinching the bridge of his nose.
That little girl was hellish! She disappeared at a breathtaking speed. Each time he thought she was asleep and the next minute she was a kilometre away from his room!
He took Elenwë in his arms and went downstairs.
Elrond looked at Galadriel and asked:
-What on earth was that?
Elrond looked astonished and couldn't hold back a brief burst of laughter.
-I don't know, my son.
-I think I know that she is not my daughter.
Lady Galadriel smiled and finally said:
-I think you must look like her father, my dear. So we are looking for a tall elf with black hair and grey eyes.
-What a bargain! How many are likely to fit this vague description?
Lady Galadriel looked at her husband and spoke again:
-Perhaps you should take her with you.
-What?!
-She's not talking. I mean the first time we heard her voice was just now when she thought she recognised her father in you.
-But... I...
-Don't you like her?
-I don't know, I don't know her!
-What would Glorfindel or your sons think?
-I... Oh, fine! I'll take her with me. But don't expect to get her back. That's final, isn't it?
-Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! I'm happy for you.
-What's the matter?
Elrond raised an eyebrow.
-Your last child is already of advanced age, isn't it? Our little daughter Arwen is already a few centuries old! That can only do you good, my dear!
-If you say so, Naneth! (Mother!)
Elrond smiles slightly. When he saw little Elenwë, he had a vision in which, as a teenager, she jumped into his arms to tell him that she adored him.
The next morning our four elves gathered together.
Elladan and Elrohir, like Glorfindel, were happy to know that the "terror of the Lorién" would come with them.
Elrond sighed when he heard them gently arguing over who would keep the little one during the journey.
While he was slightly backwards, a weight hit his legs.
He looked down and saw Elenwë smiling at him.
She was a lovely child!
She stretched out her arms towards Elrond's face and pronounced cheerfully:
-Ada! Ada! Ada!
Elrond took her in his arms and she put her head on her new father's neck.
Elladan, Elrohir and Glorfindel smiled and said aloud that the subject of their dispute was obviously no longer relevant.
As they rode on their horses, Elenwë shook hands.
She said with application:
-Namárie!
Galadriel, Celeborn and Haldir, who were waiting there, smiled when they heard the little "terror" say goodbye.
-Tenn' enomentielva Elenwë! replied the lady of the Lorién.
So Elenwë set off from the Lothorién forest where she had appeared one full moon night in September.
