25- My Intuition Is Too Good
********
I still wasn't feeling particularly well. But after standing on the deck for half an hour I started to feel much better.
I offered to help Leo and Annabeth, but Leo waved me off telling me to, "go help coach or something."
I didn't want to 'go help coach or something' so I tried to busy myself by rearranging sickbay.
I had more knowlage of medicines than most of the crew so me and the coach had been elected defacto in ship doctors.
I was pretty bad a it. My upbringing that been led by the moto of 'if it gets hurt chop it off.'
Thankfully I had never had anything chopped off. I didn't even let anyone else near my hair, but had let it grow out. When I had arrived on Olympus one of the first things Apollo and I did together was cut my hair.
Now I wore it hanging just below my shoulders-just long enough to tie up, not long enough to annoy me-it was dark brown and hung in slightly wavy lines around my face.
I finished reorganising sick bay just as there was a thump on the upper deck. I sighed, grabbed some ambrosia and nectar and made my way towards the upper deck. Was the whole quest going to be like this? Officially I wasn't part of the demigods who were supposed to go to Rome. But unofficially I was- I didn't really know what my role was. I was beginning to develop an idea of what the prophecy might require of me, and any ideas that I came up with I didn't like.
I bumped into a group carrying unconscious Jason and unconscious Percy down to sickbay. I helped them set the two boys in berths.
I fed them nectar and the coach applied some healing paste to their wounds. Both had bumps on the head.
Piper explained how they had been possessed and she had ended up having to knock them out.
Within minutes both boys were awake.
"Knocked out twice in two days," Jason murmured, "some demigod." He looked at Percy, who's shirt was burned and his hair stuck up everywhere, "sorry I blasted you man."
"That's okay," Percy grinned, "your big sister got me good once at camp."
"But I could've killed you."
"Or I could've killed you."
Jason shrugged, "if there were an ocean maybe."
"I don't need an ocean..."
"I'm sure you both would have been wonderful at killing eachother. But you both need some rest right now." Annabeth told them.
"Food first!" Percy pleaded, "we also should talk about what Bacchus said."
Later found us all around the dining table. Everyone else had food infront of them. But I just had a glass of warm milk. I wasn't hungry.
Piper explained everything that had happened.
"Eidolons." I slapped the table in annoyance, almost making Framk fall out of his chair, "I knew I'd heard of them."
"So that's what possessed Leo too?" Hazel asked.
"So I didn't start World War Three!" Leo exhaled, "that's a relief."
"Let's plan ahead," Percy suggested, holding a life of pizza, "and make sure we don't die. Mr D mentioned the twins in Ella's prophecy, he said he defeated them last time. But I'm pretty sure we can't count on his help this time, he said he wanted a tribute and he made it clear it was one we couldn't handle."
There was silence for a long time.
"Gaia wants two of us." Piper said, "on the highway she told me she needs the blood of a male and female demigod."
"Why would she want that?" Leo sounded disgusted.
"Blood has power." I told him, "especially godly blood and especially Olympic, which I'm afraid, we all have." I gestured to all of them.
"Bad." Percy said, "bad, bad." He set down his pizza, which for him meant this was very serious. "Polybotes, you guys remember him?" He looked at Frank and Hazel.
"The ani-Poseidon who you whacked in the head with a Terminus statue," Hazel nodded. "How could I forget?"
"I had a dream on our way to Alaska," Percy said, "He said he wanted me taken prisoner not killed. He said-I want that one chained at my feet so I can kill him when the time is ripe. His blood shall water the stones of Olympus and wake the Earth Mother."
"You think that the Giants would use our blood to wake Gaia?" Piper shivered.
"I think we should all avoid getting captured." I declared, "that's the best bet."
"Why are we headed for Atlanta anyway?" Leo asked.
"Mr D told us to look for Phorcys," Percy answered, "and old sea God."
"It's getting late," Annabeth said, "we should get some sleep."
"No!" Piper said.
I shivered. I felt a presence wash over me and I knew exactly what Piper was about to say.
"The Eidolans are still here aren't they." I asked.
Piper nodded.
I updated again, mainly because I'm feeling super productive at the moment.
Updates will be pretty regular because I have written quite far in advance (I have completed part 2 and have moved onto part 3 which is based around the Trials of Apollo) so I will update abut every other day, or maybe more.
I hope you're all having a good weekend and that wattpad isn't being as glitchy for you as it is for me (seriously it's so had to do anything on here right now because it doesn't save anything!)
Remember to vote, comment and be amazing!
