Questions and Letter

"Why didn't you tell us that you were a princess?" Katara asks me once I was dress in that of my mother and her warriors with the make-up. "Because I didn't care much about being one, especially when I was younger. Besides I left this island when I was five, that's not alot of experience." I shrug the last bit and I knelt down at my desk which was almost bare. "In all honesty, being five with high expectations is boring." I flip through a pile of my old drawings. Aang is currently out roaming the fishing island while Sukki is showing Sokka the ways of the Kyoshi Warriors. "So you call ice entertaining?" Katara remarks, I turn to look at her "Katara, for starters, I was five last time I was here and fifteen when I was welcomed into the Southern Water Tribe. I think I had a good ten years to have some adventure. Second, compare to the constant training that I had gone through from the time I could walk and talk, the South Pole is a nice break despite it being boring to those that never seen anything else." I still don't think she understands, but at least she had more of a family than I did. A that moment, the mayor came in "Princess, a letter just arrived for you." he hands me the envelope that shows no crest, but it seems private "Tiàn, why don't you show Katara around. I know they need some more supplies." I suggest, placing the letter on my lap. "As you wish." he bows before leading the water bender out of the room.

Once the door was shut, I open the letter, good thing I had them go. It is a summon from someone I thought I would never hear from again.

"I am sorry, but I have to go." I repeat. I had just informed the mayor and my traveling companions that I am needed else where. "But Princess Kyoshia, you have only just arrived home." Tiàn says, I raise my hand knowing that this was just the begining "I am well aware but my decision is final. I will be travelling alone as well, and there will be no use ing trying to change my mind."

"What if the Fire Nation ambushs you?" Sokka asks, still in Kyoshi attire. "If I could defeat the top Fire Nation general when I was five, I think I can handle a few foot soldiers." I smirk before leaving to pack.

Late that night I leave the Kyoshi Island in red robes and a black cloak, my face almost clear of make-up. I get on my boat and start making my way toward the Fire Nation.
