"Wow" Jackson breathed.

"Well," I said nervously "What was that about?"

"That's Rachel" Jackson said "She's the prophecy lady, I've never seen her do anything but then again I've only been here three weeks"

"Wow" I said sarcastically, "I'm just sooooo special" He smiled at me in an odd way.

"Amie? Are you dating anyone?" He asked. That's reminded me of Jenna which reminded me of Mum and Papa which caused tears to start polling in my eyes. "I'm, I'm really sorry, I'm not sure what I did but I won't do it again"

"My girlfriend, my mum and my step-dad all died yesterday" He widened his eyes.

"I am so sorry I had no idea, that's horrible" I sunk into his open arms

"Why am I letting a guy I just met hug me?" He gave me a half smile, he opened his hand and let out pink dust that smelled like rose petals. "Thanks" I said. He just shrugged.

About an hour later of sadness and pacing I was crying, laying in a tree in the forest.

"Hey, Amie you there?" I heard Jackson call.

"Yeah" I called back with a look down. I shimmied down the tree and landed with a bounce beside Jackson.

"Amie, I'm really sorry" I smiled

"It's alright you didn't know, I just can't believe that this happened, it's so terrifying. I just, I don't know how to deal with it all"

"Could you tell me more about them? I totally understand if you don't want to"

"Okay" I sniffed wiping off tears. "Papa is, was my step-father, I've never met my father and Mum never talked about it. Me and Jenna have been dating for about three months and she's so nice and amazing"
"

And I" Jackson puts in.

"What?"
"Jenna and I" I glare at him and sniff "I'm sorry I'm just a grammar freak"

"Yep I got that" I reply.

"We've got to get back to the camp Amie"

"I, I know" he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the camp as I ran to keep up with him.

Three months later
I got really good at using a sword in the months and I still haven't been claimed, all the gods are blaming each other towards who I may be the kid of. I have gotten in trouble for pranking eighty one times since I have arrived so most assume I'm a daughter of Hermes yet he hasn't claimed me. I have gotten much closer to Jackson, he's my closest friend at the camp, but I think it's becoming something more then just friendship I think something is blooming that is new and I have discovered that I like him in a way other than friendship.

I threw my diary journal thing on my bed. Jackson came in smiling.
"Hey"

"Hey yourself, what's got you so happy?" I asked with a smile.

"What? Am I not allowed to be happy anymore?"

"Jackson!" He smirked and said beside me on my bed. He leaned his head on my shoulder and my heart rate started thumping at an incredible rate. "So? What's really up?"

"Well, Elizabeth (she's my best girl friend at camp) said something" I got nervous, Elizabeth knew my crush on Jackson. He looked at me with a serious look on his face. "Amie, I like you, a lot, in a way more than friendship. And I was wondering if you felt the same" I smiled sweetly.

"Jackson, I do, I really like you" He grinned in the cutest way, almost like a puppy dog.

"Okay, Amie would you like to go on a date with me somewhere?"

"Yeah, yeah I would" I smiled at him and he smiled at me and both our faces turned pink. I watched as he placed his hand close enough to mine that our pinkies intertwined.

"See you later Amie" he said still smiling. I watched as he backed away then promptly tripped and fell. "Whoops," he said a sheepish smile on his face. I laughed.

"Bye Jackson" I called as he darted out the door.
