Recap:

"So, I was out collecting souls, and there were three unconscious guys and a dead dude, so I collected his soul, then a weird, tall, faceless tree man thing started chasing me, and it was scary, so I shadow-traveled here?"

He looked concerned when I mentioned the "weird, tall, faceless tree man".

"Mietitrice," he started, "there is something I need to tell you.."

Current time:

First Person POV
"What is it?" I asked timidly.

"Mietitrice- the gods.. aren't the only supernatural thing on Earth." He slowly explained.

".."

"It might be a lot to take i-"

"I'm sorry- WHAT?!" I exclaimed.

"There aren't only gods in this world." He explained slowly as if he was talking to a kindergartner. "There are demons, angels, and even other godly pantheons."

Well then. My whole life is a lie.

"And just why did I not know about this, exactly?" I questioned.

"Zeus made a decree in 1628." He explained, avoiding eye contact, "We are not supposed to communicate, the only people who even know about more than one of these, we there before the decree was made, such as that creature you saw: the Slenderman, or the Operator."

"That makes sense.." I mumbled to myself, furrowing my brows, "Sounds like something Zeus would do."

He smiled softly, "Zeus can make some odd decisions."

"He can!" I giggled. "I'm happy we cleared this up, Dad."

"Me too, hun." He said as he ruffled my hair

"Hey!" I pouted.

"Well, there are more souls we need to guide." He said, "We gotta get back to work."

"Ok. See you later"

"Bye, Sweetie." He said as he vanished.

I sighed, rubbing my temples with my fingers. This, I thought, is going to keep me up tonight.

I should probably go guide some more souls.
