Butterflies and Robins
*Ciel's POV*
We finally managed to lose Elizabeth after a few minutes. Sebastian brought me a glass with fizzing white liquid inside. I took it from him and sipped it, cringing at the bitter taste of the fermented fruit. I set it on an empty tray that a server was carrying and hurried off to find (F/n). I made three circles around the room. No sign of her. I walked over to Sebastian and motioned him to bend down. "Have you seen (F/n)? I can't find her anywhere." Sebastian straightened and closed his eyes, searching for her. He opened them and looked behind me. "She's down there." He said, nodding towards a white door in the back of the room. I gave Ciel a confused look. "Down there? You mean she's-" He nodded. "The basement."
*Normal POV*
You slowly tried to open your eyes. The room was blurry. 'It smells like....Iron. No.....Blood?'Your vision started to clear and you noticed that the only light in the room was a small lamp about 2 yards away from you. The lamp had flecks of red on it and was sitting on what looked like a lab table. That's when you noticed the man standing at the lab table with something held over his head. "My butterfly... Now, your a part of my collection!" He chanted, bringing the object down into something laying on the table. Your eyes widened when it started to scream. 'It's a girl!!' You tried to move but something was holding you to another table. The man picked up the girl, walked over to a wall behind the table, and flicked the lights on. You squinted both from the light and so that he couldn't tell that you were awake. He carried her over to a wall on the other side of you so you had to turn your head to see. It was the most horrifying sight that you had ever seen. There was a glass case covering the whole wall with girls that were your age inside. Each of them had been stabbed in the stomach with sharp pole which was also helping them stand. There were five of them, three of which were dead. You were number six.
The man noticed that you were awake and smiled. "Well, good morning, my beautiful sixth butterfly." You tried to break free with your demon powers but something made you freeze. It was the same force that made you freeze when Elizabeth fell into the river. You opened your mouth to cry out for help but the man quickly clapped a hand over your mouth and put a rag in it. The man picked up a tool from the small cart beside him. It was a tattoo pen. "I want to brand you so that even if we get separated, people will know that you belong to me." He said, lifting your dress up a little. He touched a spot on the inside of your leg , a little above your knee. You flinched. "I'll put it here." He chuckled, pinning your dress in place. He turned on the tool and lightly touched your skin. It burned like a thousand fires were burning in your leg. A single tear escaped your eye. 'W-What? I'm crying? How can I even feel this pain?! This guy can't be a human!!!'
By the time he finished, you were dizzy from lack of blood. The man held up a mirror to let you see. The tattoo consisted ofand ( top right corner) The room started to spin so you shut your eyes. As soon as you did, you heard something smack against the wall with a sickening crack. Your eyes flung open to complete darkness. Someone snapped their fingers and candles were lit. "So this is where you were hiding." You heard someone say. Shaking, you turned your head. 'S-Sebastian...' you thought. He took the cloth out of your mouth which let all of your breath out. Sebastian untied your feet and then your hands. You sat up and hugged yourself then remembered the girls. You looked at the glass case but it was empty. "W-Where did the girls go?" you asked him. "I got them out already." You started to freak out again. "H-He.... I couldn't-" He pressed a finger to your lips. "We can talk later. Right now, I need to get you home." He said, picking you up. He opened a door and started walking down a long hallway. "Where's-" "My master is fine. He is trying to avoid lady Elizabeth in the ball room." He answered, opening a window and forcing you through. He climbed out himself and you stood up. "Thanks for saving me." He gave you a confused look, "Why did you not save yourself? Could you not have gotten out on your own?" You crossed your arms. "Y-Yes! I could have! If you hadn't barged in I could've escaped just fine!" You grumbled, lightly pushing him. He rolled his eyes. "Of course." You started walking towards the ball room when you saw Ciel walking towards you. "Well?" Ciel asked. You stopped walking. "He didn't really say anything about it but if this isn't evidence enough, I don't know what is." You said, taking the microphone off and tossing it to him. He caught it and glared at you. He turned around and started walking towards the front. A carriage was waiting for you. Sebastian opened the door and let Ciel in while you got up on the front seat. Sebastian climbed up next to you and turned to you. "You dropped something on the ground." He said, pointing. You leaned over the edge but didn't see anything. "I don't see-" Something pushed you and you fell off of the carriage and onto the ground. You scrambled to your feet and looked up. Sebastian was smirking at you. You glared at him. "Sebastian!" You growled. Your frown slowly turned into a smile. You got back up on the carriage and punched him in the arm. "Don't ever do that again!" You laughed.
