"Wait what? Where is she?!" Shadow asked. "In the living room, but she has changed, in more than one way, so be prepared if she doesn't remember you." Comet warned. "Well who took her then? Do you think it was the person that killed Gray?" Shadow asked. "Most likely." Comet replied. "He was an alakazam." He finished. "Well I'm going to check on her, it's been months." Shadow said. He slowly walked to where his sister was. "Lilly?" He said quietly and calmly. "Uh, who are you?" Lilly asked. "It's me, Shadow, y-your brother." He said, trying to lay it on easy. "I don't have a brother, or at least I don't think I do." Lilly said.

Shadow ran off in tears, passing Night who had just walked back to the entrance of the den. "I warned you." Comet said, to no one in particular. "I'll get him" Night said, "Lilly, come with me." he requested. They followed Shadow to the cliff. "Hey, remembering the memories?" Night asked Shadow. "Shadow, it wasn't your fault." Lilly said. "But it was, that day long ago, if I hadn't run..." Shadow said, before he was interrupted "...we would be dead right now. That alakazam is the only reason I am currently alive." Lilly stated. "Oh no." Night said, so quiet Shadow was questioning if he heard him at all. "Did you just whisper something?" Shadow asked.

"Both of you follow me, quickly" Night said, and started running towards the den. "Wait night! Why should we be going to the den?!" Shadow called out. "Aurora." Night yelled, "MOM!!!" Reaching the den they found the place covered with blood. "No mom, sit still."Night commanded. He sat and black tentacles protruded from Night's back and wrapped around Aurora, a faint glow started to come from Aurora. "Rest young one" said Terra, but from Night, "your wounds will be gone in a little bit." then the glow dimmed and Night fell. "Night!!" Shadow called. Noticing some 'mon was missing he yelled. "Comet, you will pay!" Shadow Yelled.

"Lilly, are you okay?" Hearing her whease, Shadow asked. "It will all be over soon" She replied in a demonic voice, lunging for Shadow. Launching a shadow ball, Shadow ran towards Night and Aurora. In a defensive stance, he was prepared to defend them, no matter the cost. A blinding light appeared and Night was up. "Ask later." Night said bluntly. Everyone froze as a voice said, weakly, "i chased her as far as i could, but, man, she's quick." Comet fell unconscious afterwards. "Comet!" Lilly exclaimed, running to Comet and catching him. Night walked up to Comet and Lilly. "Hold in there Comet." Night said, wrapping Comet in the black tentacles.

A faint glow surrounded the charizard and faded as soon as it started. "There, he needs to rest. Let him rest. you of all pokemon, will see him first when he wakes." Night said in Terra's voice. Lifting Comet and taking him to a spare bedroom to rest. Then he returned and took Aurora to her room. When he returned he asked "who wants barbeque?" "uhh....ahm....what...what is uh...I uh....what's even happening right now?" Shadow asked, barely being able to get his words out, out of pure confusion. "How about we go to bed and I'll cook in the morning? Lilly, follow me." Night said, Leading Lilly to Comet's room. "Why is no one answering me?" Shadow asked.

"One second, I'll see you at the base, okay?" Night responded. Not waiting for an answer, he led Lilly to the room Comet was occupying. "Lilly are you and everyone else ok?" Comet asked. "Yeah, everyone is fine, even Aurora." Lilly said sweetly. When he turned around Shadow was gone. "I don't care about these memories....how painful they may be, I need to learn more...I feel like they're not all here." Shadow said. "That amnesia earlier was horrible though, I feel like it messed with my mind, not in a good way." Lilly said. "While on the topic of the past, what happened to you, Comet, after you left?" Night asked. "I went looking for who killed Grey.

I found out it was an alakazam but I lost him, however a while of tracking him I found Lilly so I helped her out and brought her back here after realizing she was Shadow's sister." Comet explained. Also I don't know why but she likes to play with my tail." Comet told. "I do not!" Lilly said, lunging for his tail. "Okay I'll let you two be" "Sure, because you clearly aren't playing with it right now." Night said. Her eyes widened. "Oh, dear me." She exclaimed, dropping the tail. "It's fine,...I actually kind of...like it." he finished blushing.

Meanwhile

Shadow entered the base again. "Good thing those memories can't affect me anymore, well not as much as they did." He said to himself. "I mainly wanted to get away from the confusion." he finished. He decided to travel around the place seeing as he never got a chance to explore the place. Wait, that thing shared a map via neural link didn't it? He asked himself. Good, I have a general idea as to where I'm going now. He thought to himself. He went to where the commander's office. Maybe I can get some answers here...some answers that the computer may not be able to answer he thought to himself.

"Ugh this room is a mess, it seems whoever was here they definitely tried to fight off whatever killed them." He said. "Welcome back mom" the computer said, "renaming complete, please refer to me as 'computer' or 'Violet'" she finished. "So that happened." Shadow said to himself, he looked around the office looking for specific files when suddenly he tripped over a cord and landed on a hidden button. ANOTHER SECRET AREA?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! He questioned. "They clearly wanted things to stay hidden if they put these many measures in place." Shadow said to himself. The hall he entered was somewhat cramped and also very dark.

The room he ended up in was a bit bigger. The files on the desk of the multitude of screens were labeled: test subject 0347. "Wait what?" Shadow asked himself as he turned around and saw out the big window. "Th-that's the vat they forced me into whenever they were done experimenting on me....are these my files???" He asked himself. "Shadow?!" He heard Night call out. "Uh computer, lead him to the room I'm in." Shadow said. "Alright, anything else?" The computer asked. "Uh yes, give him the same amount of authority as I have." Shadow said. "Done, is there anything else?" The computer asked. "No, that will be all for now." Shadow said.

Even if we can't talk to humans, at least we can read their words and understand what they say as well. He thought to himself. He pulled out some paperwork from the file. "Subject 0347...successful, all other subjects failed will be terminated as long as this one remains successful, we'll wait a month's time, just to be sure. This one....this one will be the key to learning more about pokémon than ever before." He read out loud. "These contents make them seem so innocent, but I will never again forget that they've killed my dad." He said to himself. "Uh Shadow." Night said startling Shadow. "Oh uh hello Night." Shadow said. "What are these files?" Night asked.

"Test subject 0347...." Shadow said, looking down, realizing that he was the only creature to survive this facility. "I'm assuming that's what they called you if all other subjects were terminated." Night said. "Yeah...I wish I could've helped them...I was the only survivor of this facility...one who knows how to do things I shouldn't be able to do...one who's above the max level...I-I'm afraid of myself. I'm afraid of what I can do, that's why I've been so distant, I don't want to take the risk of my abilities showing themselves and then have me go power mad...I've seen it happen, in more ways than one, when one gains too much power they grow insane." Shadow explained.

"Is that why you've never talked to you anamorphic? And is that also why you tried to disregard the fact that Terra was real?" Night asked. "That's precisely why..." Shadow said. Night had no idea how to respond to that, or how he could help with that. "Computer, give me a rundown of how many subjects were experimented on here, including myself." Shadow said. "Calculating, calculating....about one million subjects, out of all of them only 1 survived, you." The computer said. Shadows eyes widened..."I see... why...why did I have to be the only one to survive it?" Shadow asked himself.

"Hey, don't blame yourself for this, it was those humans that killed them." Night said. "Except I was a coward, a worthless coward... I ran, never looked back, and hid this place from my memories, while the other pokémon that were still alive here perished. What good am I if I'm scared of even myself?" Shadow asked. "This is why I always should've gone solo...." He finished, his eyes dulling a little bit. "Maybe more would've survived if I had...if only i'd have fought back... but no, I had to run away! I HAD TO RUN FROM THOSE WHO NEEDED ME!" Shadow screamed.

"Detecting dangerously high levels of anger, preparing for cryogenic freezing process...3...2...." the computer couldn't finish before shadow screamed, "SHUT UP YOU STUPID COMPUTER! THAT STUPID ROBOTIC VOICE IS SO IRRITATING!!!" "Shadow, calm down!" Night exclaimed. "YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN TRY TO STOP THIS?! YOU THINK YOU CAN TRY TO UNDERSTAND?! YOU COULDN'T EVEN FATHOM WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH! YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME?! YOU DON'T KNOW ME AT ALL! YOU ARE NO BROTHER OF MINE!!!" Shadow screamed, whipping around simultaneously using dark pulse and dragon claw on Night.

The attack caused Nught to smash into the wall. "Maybe you'll understand if I make you go through the torture I was forced to endure." Shadow said, grabbing Night and opening the window-like door of the room that led to the chambers he was put in long ago, (usually this is only used for emergency.) Shadow then threw down night onto the table, grabbed one of the syringes, remembering exactly which chemicals he had injected into him and how much of those chemicals, "you will understand soon enough." Shadow said, anger still extremely apparent, he was then about to strap Night down to the table until he froze and dropped the Syringe. "Good night Shadow.

Maybe her words can calm you." Terra said. Who's her? My mother? My sister? No can't be, those two have no way of getting here. TERRA ENOUGH WITH YOUR SUBTLE EXPLANATIONS! Shadow screamed mentally. The computer is genderless, who is this her? He asked himself. "Have you forgotten already?" A voice spoke up. Shadow froze in fear. "Oh no...anything but this...I'd rather not talk to nor listen to the bane of my problems. Leave me alone before I make you." Shadow said to Lilly, his anamorphic. "Shad-" was all she could get out before being interrupted. "NO! GET OUT OF MY HEAD YOU EVIL BEING OF SUFFERING!!!" Shadow screamed at it.

"You are the reason I've had to suffer for so long, you are the reason this lab existed in the first place, you were the reason for my torture. YOU ARE THE VERY THING THAT NEEDS TO DIE TO END MY SUFFERING RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW!" Shadow screamed. His real body started making convulsions as he whimpered. "Look, I'm only here to help you." She said. "You're here to help? That's rich coming from you, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE THE REASON FOR MOST OF MY SUFFERING!" Shadow screamed. "You will not fool me." Shadow said. "Enough talk, time to pay for your crimes against me, my life.

For being the reason my father died, for being the reason that all of those pokémon were tortured and killed. Goodnight you vile beast." Shadow said, extending his claws ready to attack. "My mind, my rules." He finished as the dreamscape started to shift, trapping them in a box-like thing, iron bars blocking them on all four sides, "no room to run." Shadow smirked. "By ending you I am only doing myself a favor and avenging those whose lives were lost in this facility except for those humans who deserved it." Shadow said. "I WILL NO LONGER BE AFRAID! I AM NOT AFRAID OF YOU ANYMORE! Because if I were, I wouldn't be attempting to end you right now." Shadow finished.

He lunged at her and she stepped to the side. "Stop this madness. You're only hurting yourself more, what about what you were just about to do to Night?" She asked. "You won't be able to harm my emotional state, not anymore, I won't let you. Hold still this will only hurt for a second." Shadow said. Wait but is it really her fault, the humans did this to me...why do I feel so much anger? He asked himself. She's right, Night is right.....everyone was right...why am I doing this? Right, of course, for my own selfish reasons like usual... he thought as his mind became conflicted.

Meanwhile

"His mind is conflicted, we need to calm him before...." Terra told night being interrupted by shadow. "Error....error.....abnormality detected....initiating extreme security protocol, releasing security bots....self destruct imminent....error.....computer overload....mainframe....crashing....all AI....self....functioning......" the computer said. "Before that happens..." Terra said. However Shadow's body stopped convulsing as he started glowing and suddenly another version of him emerged from his body..."the confliction tore him into two, his mental stability will be compromised until we can make him whole again." Terra said.

Back into his mind.

The very fabric of the dream realm broke apart only affecting his mind. "What's happening?! Why has all that anger suddenly disappeared?" Shadow asked. "It's here... something we don't talk about...after the first cataclysmic event caused by it... there is an embodiment of your suffering that just seperated from you, if I weren't here your mental state would have crashed and you'd basically be brain dead. I am the one holding your mind together, and because of this you won't be able to use very many of your moves, only the ones that don't take too much energy to use." Lilly said. "In order to make it rejoin you, you must calm it, and Night and Terra should help you. Keep them close, closer than you have." Lilly warned.

In reality

Shadow awoke, to see the being in front of him. "Night....I'm sorry." He said. After waking up. "hehehe....I never thought another version of my kind would appear. My kind single handedly caused the dark ages, after those anamorphics started appearing and ended our reign of this world. Everything was fine before they came around. And you shadow, since I came from you, you are my worst enemy, and to increase my power, I must make you suffer, to increase your pain so that I can gain it too and turn it into power. Essentially I feed off of your suffering. However if you were to die, I would too." It said.

"So all I gotta do is kill myself and that'll end you....dammit, why am I even considering this? No....I will find a way to return you to me and calm your rage." Shadow said. "Good luck." It said, vanishing "Time to find that alakazam, maybe we can strike a deal." Its voice echoed.

A.N.: Hey everyone, Night here. Before we leave this chapter, I would like to apologize for almost making shadow stop writing. I never meant for that to happen. Things went a bit far in this chapter. These stories are the only thing keeping me out of the pool of depression with everything going on.
