The Base is bad luck.

"Shade, keep Shadow stable," Terra said, "we are going after Jake." "Who is Shade? and Jake, I'm assuming, is the name of that thing?" Shadow asked "i'm Shade, and you would be correct" Lilly said in Shadows mind, "also we don't know where it went." She finished. "So what is he? He seems to be like an anamorphic but more...physical, also I should mention that Lilly here is keeping my mind intact." Shadow said. "He's what we call animonic, deranged from the terms anamorphic and demonic. They were the original rulers of this world....before arceus, with the amount of them that existed, together, they matched the powers of a god.

We, and arceus, came from someplace far off in the galaxy, when we landed here we found those things were evil, they enslaved our kind, until one of us had enough and decided to stand up and fight." Terra said through Night. "Arceus..." Shadow said under his breath. "Precisely. We all alongside him, fought, most of us perished, but those of us who survived? Fragments of our souls were scattered across the planet, creating a birth of the new world, those who wished to repair this world, their fragments replaced nature, returning the world to its former form that it as in before those things existed.

But the rest of us were stuck wandering the world, looking for someone to attach to, someone worthy, however if certain circumstances are met, even an unworthy will gain one, which in your case, you weren't worthy until you were forcefully given one by those people that experimented on you. Lilly didn't have a choice either, the chemicals that were injected into you themselves didn't cause it on their own, it was something that happened during your escape." Terra spoke. "Uh guys, can we talk about this after we deal with the problem at hand: we're surrounded." Night said. "Good idea." Shadow said.

Around them were a lot of bots, ranging from the smallest pokemon to as tall as the ceiling. That was all the visible ones, there were millions of tiny bots that were so small that they were invisible to the naked eye. As one they launched towards the small group but before the front line could reach them a black force field cut roughly 50 of the bots down and disintegrated, causing the rest to freeze for a second, but that was all the small group needed. Night, picking up Shadow, ran after Terra, who cut a path through the bots. Unfortunately, they didn't get far before the bots reactivated and overtook them. All of them felt a sting in their chest, and they passed out.

Terra, who was the last one to fall, heard Lilly say "sorry, mom, i'm doing what i can to protect myself" then Terra fell victim to the drug the nanobots were carrying.

dreamscape...

"What the hell happened?" shadow asked. Night appeared and spoke, "we tried to get out, but we failed to escape." he said with hate. "Where are we?" Shadow asked. "As for where, in the dreamscape, and what this is a place I build for Terra and I. It is in the most secure part of my mind. Welcome, Shade, to my mind" Night said as Lilly appeared, "Terra will be here in a second, lets go inside." Night finished, leading them to the house. Shadow just stared at Night. "You coming Shadow?" Shade asked. "Yeah, i'm just trying to wrap my mind around all of this." Shadow replied, "Lilly you okay?" "Uh yeah, don't worry." Lilly said.

"So uh Night, about before..." Shadow paused, looking down. "It's fine, I know you didn't mean it." Night said. "Ok...th-thank you." Shadow replied, his head still down. "Hey it's what brothers do, I think? Well you weren't entirely sane at the time, so..." Night said "Yeah you're right I really shouldn't have been so scared in the first place, maybe if I'd contacted Lilly sooner none of this would be happening." Shadow said, still walking to the house. He ended up getting slapped in the face by Night. "Alright, just stop! Stop blaming yourself for everything! This is all only a horrible coincidence, there is nothing you could've done to prevent it." Night said.

"Terra's here" he continued, running into the house. Shadow ran after Night, he's right, I really need to get my act together and stop focusing on the past, it's only causing me more harm than good. Shadow thought to himself.

In reality...

"Hello Alakazam," Jake said. "Who are you and what do you want?" Nattalie asked. "I simply want to cause suffering to a certain someone, a friend of Night's actually, I believe he's who you wish to cause suffering to? Maybe we can both complete our goals." Jake said, "If you are willing to work together that is." Jake finished. "I'm listening, you have piqued my interest," Nat said, "what are we waiting for? Let's go," she finished. "Maybe we should capture everyone left behind at their den." Jake suggested. "Great minds think alike, and I even have an idea of what to do with that vaporeon..." she said, smiling.

Night's mind...

Terra appeared in her room in the world that both she and Night made. "Feels good to be back" a knock on the door interrupted her. "Who is it?" She asked. "The only one who knows where our room is in this mansion. Need more clarification?" Night said, walking into the room. "Nope..." Terra spoke sweetly, walking up to Night and nudging his cheek. "Not now, we have guests." Night whispered into Terra's ear, "Come on, Shade and Shadow are waiting." Night started leading Terra to where Shade and Shadow were in the mansion. When they entered the room Shade was cuddling with Shadow. When the door opened, Shade then quickly moved away from Shadow.

He was left super confused. "Uh ... why..." Shadow asked longingly. "I'll tell you later." Lilly (also known as Shade) said, winking at shadow, half grinning. "So uh, Night, any Ideas as to how we can wake up, and get rid of those nanobots before they do anything more?" Shadow asked. "Well, they are small things right, maybe if one of us can get to the admin computer (mainframe) we might be able to reactivate the computer and have it turn off the nanobots, and the other bots too. But to get out of here I can send you guys back, but I would be stuck here until the drug wears off. Do you want to go with that, or does anyone have another idea?" Night said.

"That's fine by me, as long as we can stop this instead of being instantly knocked out again. Let's go." Shadow said to Lilly. "Okay then." Night said.

Reality: the base...

Soon Shadow woke up. "Alright, remember we still have the other bots guarding the place and patrolling it, we need to be careful." Lilly said. "Got it." Shadow whispered. It was a little hard to see as some of the lights were off. The admin Controls were where my files are, sadly in order to get back there have to go around. He thought to himself. He slowly walked. Timing his openings, hiding among the shadows. I feel almost like a spy. He thought to himself. He had almost got caught by some sort of security light. seriously?! The cameras are against me too?! Shadow thought. However he had a harder time dodging them.

The tip of his tail ended up touching the red light and the alarms started blaring. "Welp Lilly, so much for being careful." Shadow said. "You don't need to speak out loud, I can hear your thoughts." Lilly said. Uh mind if I call you Lil? It's too confusing between you and my sister, and calling you Shade just seems wrong. Shadow said, mentally. "Yeah that's fine." Lil said. It didn't take long for Shadow to reach the commander's office, and the secret passage was still open. He went to the admin computer and turned it on. "Warning, you are about to start a hard system restart. DNA required to check authority." A vile appeared.

Shadow found a needle lying around and poked one of his claws and let a drop of blood drip into the vile and he then shoved it in. "Shadow, authority: full authority. Are you sure you want to start a hard system restart?" The computer asked. The bots were about to attack and he saw a swarm of black things which he assumed was an extremely large swarm of nanobots. "YES!" Shadow yelled. "Restarting...." The computer said. The building shutting down. "Activating in 3...2...1, computer online. Transferring data from backup storage. All data restored. Bots returning to the manufacturing room for repair and recharge." The computer said.

"Well that was way too close." Shadow said. "Night is waking up from the effects of the nanobots, I highly advise keeping an eye on him for 24 hours." The computer said. Shadow ran back out of the room and helped Night up. "Well, I see you succeeded in your task. Now can we get out of here?" Night asked. "Yeah, everytime one of us comes here something bad happens. Let's go." Shadow said. "Before we go can I go to the mainframe? There is something I need to do." Night asked. "Uh... okay?" Shadow said in a questioning tone. "You'll see." Night said. The two headed back to the mainframe.

When they got there Night ran to the mainframe and started typing. After a second the screen showed a question 'are you sure?' Night typed in a single word: 'yes.' the computer started a countdown. "We need to run!" Night yelled, running.
