Before we get started I just wanted to thank @Umbreonic-nightmares for helping me with this. This wouldn't have been possible without his help, and thusly, I decided to include his character as wella as an OC that @korbinservergundam created just for this. Thank you both for the help!

"Hello! Good morning Grayson!" A Shiny Charizard said to the Leafeon who was just relaxing under the morning sun. "Uh, where's night?" He asked. "He's still in the den, Comet. Why do you ask?" Grayson asked. "Just seeing if he's okay, especially after what happened yesterday." Comet replied. "Yeah, he just doesn't want to be disturbed at the moment." Grayson explained. "I can understand that," Comet said. Suddenly there was a loud bang somewhere nearby. "That doesn't sound good, let's go see what happened." Comet told him. "Yeah let's go." Grayson responded. The two then proceeded to go towards the sound.

They reached a small crater but nothing was there. Some screaming was heard coming from the den. "Oh no, NIGHT!" Grayson yelled and ran off. "Hey Grayson wait!" Comet said, chasing after him. There was another scream. This time it was nearby. Comet then saw it, Grayson was killed. When Comet ran up to him there was a maniacal laughter, the culprit nowhere to be seen. "C-Comet.....tell....my brother.....he meant the world to me...tell him...not to....blame hims-s-self. Goodbye friend." Grayson said as the light faded from his eyes. Comet closed Grayson's eyes for him and then said,

"don't worry, I will fulfill your final wishes." He said. He then flew to the den. "Night! Night where are you?!" He called out in the den. "I'm here, I'm...here." Night said leaving the den with his head down. "What of my brother?" He asked. Comet hesitated before answering, "he's gone." Night understood exactly what that meant. "No, no, no, he can't be. He promised me that he would be here to watch me evolve at least." Night then dashed into the forest, leaving Comet behind. "He told me to tell you not to blame yourself." Comet called after him. If I wasn't mean to him, he wouldn't be dead right now. Night thought, running into the forest.

After a few minutes Night came across 2 evolutionary stones: a moonshard and a thunderstone, and the thunderstone had black liquid on it. He decided to grab them for the sake of having them. Upon touching them he tried to evolve. But something felt wrong like his body was being torn in two. Screaming from the pain, he passed out. Comet heard a scream and ran towards it. When he arrived he saw an eeveelution, but couldn't figure out which one. While taking the eeveelution to the den, he found Night's bracelet on this eeveelution, so he assumed that it was Night. Placing Night in his bed, Comet heard him muttering something.

Listening to Night, it sounded like he was having a conversation with another entity. That can't be right, right? Comet thought. Well I have to go find who killed Grayson. He thought to himself, leaving the den. After some time, Night woke up. Upon seeing his body he freaked out. He was a hybrid between a jolteon and an umbreon. Even worse was the idea that there was a soul fragment was in his mind named Terra, the whole of it is called Sunshine. Night then left the den himself.
