pain and anger, a loss, new addition.
Why....why me? Why'd this have to happen to me? No...it didn't happen to me...it was my fault. A shiny umbreon thought to himself as he walked through the woods. "I should tell Grayson, he should know about it...he might be able to cheer me up at least a little bit. If only I was more responsible...more...careful." He said to himself his head lowered. Then he ended up running into Night. "Ugh ow watch where you're going." Night said. "How about you watch it instead, hybrid? You have eyes why don't you use them? Unless they don't work." The shiny said coldly. "You little..." Night responded.
"Go on say it! I can take it! Or are you too much of a coward like almost everyone I know." The shiny said again. "Not that this is important in any way, my name is Shadow. By the way Your voice also reminds me of someone I nicknamed Gray." He said less coldly than he was previously. "Speaking of which I need to go see him. Bye." He finished. "For one, rude much? For two, is his name Grayson?" Night asked. "Uh yeah, how do you know of him?" Shadow asked. "He's my brother and....he's dead." Night explained. "What?! No! It's not true! There is no way someone like him could possibly die! Not that easily!" Shadow exclaimed. "Well it's true." Night said.
"Dammit! Nothing can seem to go right for me! Why does everything always have to go wrong!" Shadow yelled to himself with his head down. "I don't know, but I have nowhere to stay. The old den reminds me too much of my brother, so I can't stay there." Night stated with melancholy. "Why don't you come live with my and my folks for the time being?" Shadow asked. "Why are you offering this to me?" Night asked. "Well....maybe if you join the family I'll have someone to talk to about things....about these problems....about what had recently happened to me besides finding out my friend died." Shadow answered.
"And I can have someone to help me with things beyond my understanding." Night said. "Come on then." Shadow said. "But if you lag behind and lose trail of me I won't hesitate to leave you behind." He finished. "Alright then." Night said, a little bit intimidated. After some walking they reached Shadow's den. "Uh, mom? Before you ask where she is.....I can explain." He said walking up to a vaporeon in the den. He proceeded to explain what happened. "I looked everywhere after that happened, and I couldn't find even her body, dead nor alive. I-I'm sorry....It was my job to watch her, watch out for her while we were wandering around but I'd failed.....
And now she's probably suffering a fate worse than death." Shadow finished, lowering his head, silently crying to himself. "I-It's fine....there was nothing you could've done to save her." His mother said in a sweet calming tone of voice. "Might I ask who this is?" She asked. "This is uh...." Shadow paused, realizing he never got a name. "Night, I'm Night, at least that's what my brother and friend calls me, or at least used to call me." Night said. "His brother, Grayson, who was also my friend as you know, died, I believe killed, by someone. I ran into Night here when I was heading there to tell Gray of what had happened and got the bad news.
Because of this I invited him to live with us, make him part of the family." Shadow explained. "Well, he can stay if he wishes to, but before I allow this I wish to ask, where are your parents?" The vaporeon now turning to Night. "Th-they're dead, they died a long time ago, my brother had to raise me up as much as he could." Night explained. "Alright, you can stay here and live with us for as long as you wish." The vaporeon said. "You have a good heart Shadow, don't let what happened, or anything else that may happen to you turn it dark, and I'm not just talking about what happened to you recently, but with those bad people that caused your father's death when he saved you from that one place so far away." The vaporeon finished, turning her attention back to her son.
