Chapter 5: A Step Closer

Third Person POV

Hatred stood next to Rage who was admiring New Ninjago City. "See Brother? We've done it! New Ninjago City at our feet!" Rage laughed elbowing Hatred. "Yes" Hatred sighed. Rage noticed his brothers denial. "You seem upset" Hatred forced a laugh. "It's nothing what city is next?" "Well I was thinking of Stiix...." Rage paused waiting for his brother's response. "Yeah why not"

Up high above the city, Luna, Nya, and Ivan were searching the bounty. "I could've sworn!" Nya said frustrated. "Relax. I'm sure we'll find them. Any luck Luna?" Ivan asked turning to Luna. Luna turned to Ivan and Nya holding the ease dropping device in her hand. "It was a little fuzzy but I think they said something about heading to Stiix" Ivan and Nya looked at each other than back to Luna. "You sure that's what they said?" Nya asked. "Yeah. I can double check though" Luna turned around again putting on her headphones. "Any idea where he might've gone?" Ivan asked. "No, I do-" Nya was interrupted by Luna. "We got to hide!" She insisted. "What's goin-" Before Ivan could finish his sentence, Luna pushed him into what Nya said was the control room. "Luna! What's going on!" Nya whispered. "Okay. So you know how I double checked. Well, there coming up here!" Luna whispered. "What do you me-" Once again Ivan was interrupted, but this time it was by two boys. "Who are they?" Ivan whispered. "Hatred and Rage. They caused the darkness ring" Nya whispered. Rage and Hatred moved around the bounty, as Ivan watched closely for any sudden movement. "What are they saying?" Nya asked Luna. Luna put on her headphones and pointed the device towards Rage and Hatred. "Nothing too interesting- wait! Okay. We got to go now" "What?!? Why?" Ivan asked. "Just listen to me! We've got to go back to stiix! I'll tell you more on the way there!" Together the three of them creeped around the bounty hoping not to get seen by either Hatred or Rage. "How are we going to get off the bounty? The Mech would be noticed too quickly" Ivan stammered. "Well I have an idea. If you guys are willing to try it" Nya stated. "What's the idea?" Luna asked. Ivan begin to get worried.

"I've got a bad feeling about this!" He stated when he climbed onto the anchor of the bounty. "That's what you said when we distracted Rage and Hatred!" Luna chimed. "Haha, How's the anchor going to go down if all of us are on it?" Ivan asked remembering how they had sneaked past Hatred and Rage. All Ivan had to do was make sure that Rage and Hatred went into the hallway, where the marble Ivan threw would be. Then the three of them would sneak past onto the anchor. "That's how we'll get down" Nya finished her sentence. "If we go down too far, then we'll end up in the darkness ring. Won't we?" Luna asked. "Let's hope it doesn't come down to that" Ivan said. Nya pushed a button on her bracelet and the anchor dropped. "TOO FAST! TOO FAST!" Ivan screamed. "WILL YOU BE QUIET!" Luna scolded. The anchor stopped and they were just feet above the darkness ring. "On the bright side, we can call the mech. On the down side, we got ourselves some attention" Nya said looking up. Ivan looked up to see Rage and Hatred looking down at them. "WHERE DO YOU THINK YOUR GOING!" One of them shouted. "Remind me which one is which" Ivan whispered to Luna. "I think the one with red hair is Rage and the one with dark brown hair is Hatred" Luna whispered. "Really? I thought the one with red hair was Hatred" Nya whispered. "ENOUGH!" Hatred yelled. "Wait! Before you destroy us! I have a question!" Ivan yelled. Luna and Nya looked at him. Ivan sighed hoping this would work. "What's that over there?" Ivan pointed behind Rage and Hatred. "NICE TRY! WE'R-" Rage was interrupted by the Mech. "WHAT IS THAT!" Hatred yelled. "It's the mech! Jump on!" Nya yelled. "It's not level with us!" Ivan yelled. "JUST JUMP!" Luna grabbed  Ivan's hand and jumped off the anchor. Ivan screamed. "Will you calm down! We're fine!" Ivan opened his eyes to see that he, Nya, and Luna were flying away from the bounty unarmed. "How'd you know that the mech was coming?" Nya asked. "I didn't. I was trying to buy some time" Ivan said slowly.

The Mech reached Stiix and they landed behind Ivan and Luna's house. "WAIT! Go back up!" Luna whined. "Why?" Ivan asked. "I could've sworn I saw a dragon!" She ranted. "A-A Dragon?" Ivan asked. "W-what would a dragon be doing in Stiix?" He stuttered. "I think I know" Nya said running inside. "Could you tell us?" Ivan asked running after her. Nya opened the door looking for the dragon Luna saw. "What color was it?" She asked. "Green" Luna said. "I think we might've found Lloyd then" Nya stated. "Or he found you" Nya turned her head to see Lloyd walking over. "LLOYD! There you are! Have you found the others?" Nya asked. "No not yet but I think they might be in a city in Ninjago that's already been taken over by the Darkness ring" Lloyd suggested. "Hi I'm Luna! This is Ivan" Luna said indicating to herself and Ivan. "Lloyd" "So Luna. About what you were going to tell us on the bounty" Ivan asked. "You guys went to the bounty?" Lloyd asked. "Yeah we went looking for you" Nya said. "Well come inside and I'll tell" Luna turned heading towards the Living room. Ivan closed the door behind them and sat down. "So what did you hear?" Nya asked. "First off, There heading here in about 3 days. Next I think they said something about people in their hideout" "Hideout?" Nya asked. "Yeah they built a fortress underneath the darkness ring" Lloyd said. "So we have 3 days until total  annihilation and we get to play destroy the fortress" Ivan said sarcastically. "Well we might as well make a plan then" Lloyd said. "What? I was being Sarcastic. I wasn't suggesting we actually do that" Ivan said. "Well we have to stop Rage and Hatred one way" Nya added. "Great" Ivan mumbled.
