April 2023 and I think to myself that it may be time to get experimental for a number of reasons. Create a challenge for myself, write something which is both inside and outside of my comfort zone and see where that takes me.

Writing erotica is something way out of my comfort zone though this will be something that only partially makes up the whole of the story while also being the basis of it. Could I write that to a reasonable standard? Going quite dark with any tale, well that's something which always interests me so there is nothing new there.

Anyhow, I did kinda get stuck though I did begin something else in April too, a short story, an off shoot of the longer story and I posted that short in my second collection of short stories. It has the same title.

I wasn't really getting anywhere so I unintentionally abandoned the bigger project being less than ten thousand words in. Believing that this is something potentially worthy of saving, I returned to it in November of 2023, integrating the short story into the larger one, determined to see it through whether or not it attracts any attention.

What I hope this project is and will be, is:- A tale of lust, abduction, captivity, and gruesome murder. A concoction downright steamy at times and utterly terrifying at others to a point it eventually has to be asked ... am I really doing this? I mean, really?
