We had just finished listening to the radio to find East River when my vision started to go dark. I fought to keep my eyes open and then I found myself sinking into the darkness covering my vision. I slowly blinked the sleep out of my eyes and looked around the room. I found myself situated on a couch next to Liam and Chubs with Zu sitting on a small beanbag in front of us. I turned my head hoping to find an exit but only finding two other kids. The one sitting closest to me had curly auburn hair the girl sitting next to him has vibrant blue hair. As I contemplate waking the others to help me find a way out I feel Chubs move beside me.

         "Ruby?" Chub's voice sounds rough with sleep.

         "It's me Chubs," I whisper back not wanting to wake the other kids.

         "Do you know where we are?"

        "No but we have two other kids to worry about and I can't find an exit."

        "Maybe we should wake up Lee and Zu."

        "Sure but make sure not to wake the others up we don't know what colors they are and we don't want a fight."

        Chubs nods and then goes to gently shake Zu awake while I shake Lee. Lee jerks awake and almost hits me in the face with how fast he shot up right. 

        "Lee calm down we just need to find a way out but we need to be quiet."

        Lee calms down and helps Chubs wake up Zu. I walk over to a small coffee table and find a bit with a blue book under it. 

        "Guys I found something."

        "What did you find Ruby?" Liam's southern drawl comes from behind me.

        "I think it's a letter of some sort and a blue book."

        "Do you want Chubs to read it or you?"

         "I'll read it but grab Zu and Chubs and might as well wake the strangers they probably want to hear it."

           Liam shakes the boy awake and he looks at him with almost a kind of awe.

           "Are you Cole Stewart?" The boy says, almost jumping up and down.

            "No, I'm his more like able little brother."

             "That's so cool my name is Jude and this is my friend Vida."

              "Nice to meet you Jude. My name is Liam and those two over there are Charles and Suzume, next to the table is Ruby. We found a letter and wanted to know if you wanted to hear what it says might as well wake up Vida."

               The kid named Jude goes over to Vida and gently taps her arm and whispers in her ear. I watch as Vida wakes and Jude fills her in and he obviously got her to deal with us since she seemed a little less like she wanted to slam all of us into a wall.

                "Are we going to stand here looking pretty or are you going to read that letter." Vida's tone is something between an angry parent and an impatient teen.

                  "I'll get started, just chill out," I say slightly frustrated with her treating us like we're stupid. I turn the envelope over in my hands slipping my finger under the seal and pulling it along till I can open it fully to pull the letter out.

                    You have been brought here today to read a book that holds future events if you don't change anything. I'm quite found of you guys so I have decided to give you the chance to change the outcome. Even if you don't want to read, you won't be able to leave till you finish the books contents. Also, Vida, please refrain from injuring anyone. I'll let you get to the book now and please make some changes for the sake of you and your fans sanity. PS. Your abilities will not work while in the room.

        "Guess we should start reading." Liam starts to pickup the book but it's snatched by Chubs.

        "You can read next time I'm going to start," Chubs says pulling the book open to the first page. He waits till we all sit back down and then starts his voice filling the room as he starts the book.

         Chapter one, the crook of my arm locked over the man's throat.....
