Jax:

I couldn't understand what I just witnessed. I didn't have time to process it all. The concerned rage pulsing through my body is all the energy I have. As soon as she began floating, the light within the room was blinding. I could feel the burning through my own body as Thor thrashed around in my brain.

All I could think about was getting close to her. I watched in vain as her voice, laced with something more powerful than I've ever heard before, boomed against the walls. Then I noticed the wings. They looked like something out of the fairy tales Aunt Jemma used to tell me. They were bright white, filled with energy as they glowed behind her. I ran through the door of the viewing room and through the hallway, rushing to open the questioning room. By the time I opened it, I saw as she fell to the ground. She tried to stand, but I knew that wasn't going to work. I fell through the small shadow next to the door and made it to Nia just as she was about to fall. She felt so light in my arms even as dead weight.

I roared as loud as I could, I could smell Liam's fear just before I felt Caleb's cold hand on my shoulder calming me. I watch as the guards quickly pull him away from my murderous ways. Caleb's arm begins pulling me back through the door and into Nigel's side. I want to growl, but currently being near the moon fae is calming me before I do something I regret.

"Or keeping us from the one thing that will make us feel better, but however you want to look at it." Thor rumbles in my head.

The walk back to the house was silent with everyone rushing to help me get her to the pack hospital.

Nigel watched me like a hawk, making sure everyone kept their distance from me. Even though I never wanted to be in the same room as the guy, I was grateful for him in this moment.

"Is it the mate bond?" He whispered to me as we rounded the corner into the pack house.

"I... I don't know." I gritted out.

"Meg and I have never shared that much power before." Kyle spoke up behind me.

Caleb's coldness suddenly over took me as he ran up beside me, "I've heard stories of powerful fae creatures transforming, but that was a long time ago." We all looked over at him curiously.

Nigel spoke up first, because currently I wasn't able to speak much. My mind and body felt so worn and weak at the moment. "Yes... During the early years Fae creatures were made by the gods in their likeness."

"Father will be here soon." Riley spoke up, "We will keep him informed. Don't take too long to show your face, otherwise he might storm the place looking for you..." He nodded at Caleb as they rushed off towards the front of the pack house.

"Thank you brother..." I said through the mind-link.

"Keep her safe Jax. She's something special." He replied back.

Nigel looked up at me and his eyes glossed over. "The hospital wing is down that hallway to the right. Luna cara is there now. I'm needed elsewhere."

I cocked my head to the side, "You can mind-link?"

Nigel rolled his eyes, ran a finger down Nia's cheek which earned him a growl from me and Kyle, before leaving in a hurry.

Kyle was the only one left with me as we walked into the hospital room. It didn't look like the pack hospital back home. It was very different. There were plants everywhere. Some of them were glowing, some looked like they would bend and sway towards us as we walked in. The room was filled with natural light from all the open windows. There were healers everywhere. It was busy because of the attack earlier. I watched as wizards threw up small enchantments to entertain the children who were still healing. Colorful sparkles were floating throw the air in different shapes as the wizards told stories. The entire room fell silent as we were ushered to the back of the room where a large bed was set up.

A small table with a tray filled with small cups of colorful liquid were lined up. Fresh cloths and bandages were also there. A small woman, how old was she? Pointed to the bed as she lifted her hands to Nia's face and slowly ran them down her body closing her eyes. I saw the silver specks glide over her as she suddenly felt weightless in my arms. The small girl lifted her arms and carefully directed my floating Nia onto the bed.

The girls eyes began to glow brighter as she placed a hand on her head. She hisses and then furrows her brow, "Luna Nia..." she whispers as tears leak down her face. I growl, distracting her from her thoughts.

"I'm s-sorry, a-alpha jax..." she bowed her head to me, avoiding my eyes. "S-she's, s-she's..."

"Silence Murena!" I heard Luna Cara yell from the other side of the room. Her eyes glowing as the small girl whimpers and ran out of the room.

I roar so loud everyone in the large room stops to stare at me. Kyle looks like he might shift in a moment. If I don't get some answers soon, he wont be the only one. "Luna Cara, Tell me what's going on NOW!"

She crossed the room, her power radiating from her. "She's going to need a lot of healing and a lot of rest. That's all you need to know..." She looked over at Kyle, "Meghan is up, you are dismissed." His jaw tightened as he quickly left the room. She was of a higher authority than him, and on her land he had to follow her orders. I heard him storm out of the room and growl as he went down the hallway.

She was staring me down again.

"We deserve answers! That's our mate!" Thor was pounding inside my mind.

"Tell me..." I gritted out again.

"You may rest here, or in the pack house. I will fill you in as healing continues." As she said this, Nigel, 2 men and another woman rushed past me. They were taking the colored liquids and brushing them on different parts of her body spouting off enchantments as the did. I watched the liquid glow as it seemed to seep into her skin.

"I will stay." I gritted out. I watch in awe as the men and woman began to glow as the worked on healing my Nia. I sat on a small chair near her bed, looking over at the glowing liquid swirling all over her skin as it slowly disappeared.

"Very well..." She nodded at Nigel who seemed to have an unspoken conversation with her. He walks up to me, his eyes glowing.

He smiles, "Sleep well asshole." In the next instant Thor tried to rush to the front of my mind, but it was too late. I felt a wave of cold overcome me. I felt like I was floating. I wanted to lash out at Nigel but my mind and body welcomed the unknown calm. My last thought was how badly I was going to beat Nigel's ass when I woke up.
