Jax:

It was easy enough to find the Nia's scent and follow it back to Luna hills. The moment we stepped foot on pack land I could smell my father's scent. A few other familiar scents as well. It was still too quiet.

"Their scent ends here. Let's head to the pack house." Kyle and I take off towards the pack house.

"She's very angry, and using a lot of magical energy." Thor rumbles inside me.

"I know, FIND HER!" I yell back.

We see the pack house in the distance when both Kyle and I get pulled to the right. Thor can see the white wolf, she's on top of the rouge, she's ready to make the final blow, I can feel it. Thor takes off running, Kyle close at my heels. It was only when Kyle ran past me that I noticed Meghan screaming for Nia to stop. I ran up behind Nia, Please let me in Barbie.

"Jaxson?" Nia whispers in the back of my mind

"You gonna kill him or what?" Thor answers.

I growl at him.

"He nearly killed half the school children. He set a curse to ruin our crops, and the only reason he can't get away right now is because I'm controlling the water in his body so any sudden movements would shatter his bones. He's also my ex."

I growl low in my throat. This Rouge Wizard dare to step foot on my mates land and put her family in danger?! I slam a paw down on his knee. He roars out loud. That seemed to knock down some of Nia's anger. She stepped back still keeping an eye of this sorry excuse for a rogue. I repeated the same on the other side. I felt the burst of blood vessels and bone underneath my paw. It felt good. It smelt good. I wanted to rip his throat out, but Nia interrupted my thoughts.

"My mother is approaching, and Alpha Jasper."

Behind me I saw Kyle had shift back into his human form. He had Meghan in his arms. She looked beat. She must have used a lot of magical energy. If he wasn't holding Meghan right now, I know exactly what he would be doing at the moment. Ripping this rogue to shreds.

I felt my father's Magic energy as the Luna hills warriors surrounded the perimeter. Nia let go of her hold on the rogue wizard, as he let out a huge breath and began gasping for air. I growled low in my throat as he tried to move.

"Fuck you!" The rogue yelled as he spat in my face. I was about to lunge at the man when a Luna Hills warrior lifted his hand causing me to freeze in my tracks. It was like my body had a mind of it's own. This rogue laughed like a maniac in my face.

I roared as the warrior stood still, emotionless, "Alpha Jax, on our land we do not kill without cause. Please subdue your wolf or we will have to do it for you."

I roared again.

"MUST. KILL. HIM! He hurt Nia! Thor roared, and to be honest, I didn't blame him.

"Jax, please..." I felt Nia's presence coming up next to me, it was so incredibly calming. "Please, calm down, ok?"

I could easily see her through Barbie's eyes. How was she able to have so much control in her wolf form, yet Barbie felt so powerful in this moment. Nothing was holding either of them back. It was as if they were one.

"But he hurt you!! He hurt your family..." I yelled inside my head.

"Shush, Thor..." I could hear both Barbie and Nia in my mind.

I wanted to take over, but thor was so angry, I wasn't sure I'd be able to take back control. It was beginning to be painful being controlled like this. How is this happening? How can this warrior control me without even touching me? Some kind of dark magic?

"Thor, stand down...Nia and Barbie want us to stand down..." I was yelling at Thor, trying to gain more control.

"We will avenge our mate, he hurt her..." Thor was beginning to calm as he heard the humming Nia and Barbie were doing together.

"We will Thor! I will make sure of it." I growled as Thor huffed, giving in to the calm that was suddenly flowing through us.

I watched as Barbie's eyes began to glow, then, on the ground below us, more glow, as it slowly surrounded us. I felt the light graze of peace ruffle my fur, like the first breath of fresh spring air, or a cool glass of water after a long run. I'm not sure how long I stood there until I finally gave in to the peaceful feelings surrounding me. Thor purred inside me. This was beautiful.

Sooner than I hoped, Luna Cara pulled Nia away from me and I watched as Nia and her mother seemed to have a silent conversation. My father nodded to the warriors as they gathered the prisoner.

"Jax, you and Kyle need to stay here and help with questioning the prisoner. I have some questions of my own. The pack house is being set up for our stay." He left behind the warriors carrying the screaming prisoner away. I looked over at Nia, I could hear her anger boiling over. Once the warriors and the prisoner were out of sight, I could finally move again. I fell to the ground for a moment, tried to steady my breathing.

"Go to her, make her better! NOW!" Thor roared inside me, it's like the thought of Barbie or Nia being unhappy in any way makes him go crazy. I can feel how much it seems to hurt him.

Luna Cara is saying something to her, whispering something in her ear, patting her head. I rushed to her side and nudged her neck with my nose.

"Let me in Barbie..." I stared into her eyes.

"My brother tried to save the children by taking the first hit to give them more time to take cover. Our healers are working on him, but, it could be a while before we know anything..." Nia's voice trailed off.

"I should have taken him out when I had the chance." Thor roared inside me.

She was silent as we continued to her pack house in wolf form. I tried to continue to connect with her but neither her or Barbie were opening up to me. I felt the anger boiling up inside me. I wanted this man's head. I wanted to taste his blood as I ripped his throat out. I may not be able to talk to Nia, but I could feel the flurry of emotions she was dealing with. I could feel her anger, her sadness and her guilt for not being here. She veered to the left and pointed her nose to a tree with a bag tied to it.

"Men's clothes are in the black bags, Woman's clothes are in the Green bags. Tell Kyle to take Meghan up to my room. She can rest there."

With that she trotted off a few trees down with a green bag. I shifted and got dressed holding Meghan for Kyle while he did the same. The whole time I watched Nia get dressed. Even though I was feeling the tightness in my shorts, it was different. I wanted something different this time. I wanted to take her in my arms and make all those bad feelings go away. I wouldn't stop until she fell into a blissful sleep. Then I'd hold her tight so she knows she's safe. When I handed Meghan back to Kyle, I noticed his eyes flash purple again.

"Hey man, we're going to fuck this guy up. Don't you worry about that." I gritted out to Kyle.

Kyle nodded in agreement. Calming himself before he took a deep breath, "Listen Jax, They do things very differently here. It's not..." He growled low in his throat, "...that simple..."

"Kyle, this rouge, this asshole, trespassed on their land, nearly killed one of their leaders, and tried to hurt the children! Of course he's going to die. A horrible and painful death as he rightfully deserves." I was on the verge of shifting again as Thor's rage was continuing to boil.

Kyle looked me in the eyes for a moment. He nodded, but he looked sad? I stood confused at his reaction to my last statement but he interrupted my silent thoughts before I could worry about it anymore, "Listen, Nia's in a bad way right now. Take care of her will you?" I huffed and nodded but Kyle stood still and walked closer to me, "Jax, I'm serious. Her wolf went missing for over a month after we finally broke that spell this rouge put on her. She barely ate, or slept. He left her so broken that we weren't sure if the pieces would ever come back together. She needs you in a big way right now."

My jaw clenched, I felt more rage building. I thought about Nia's beautiful voice humming to me, calming myself and Thor. Kyle waited for my reply, "I get it." I gritted out.

He nodded as he ran towards the pack house, Meghan still sleeping peacefully in his arms.

I let the words he left me with sink in. Thor was ready to kill this guy, put him back together, and kill him again. He wanted to taste his blood. I wanted to taste his blood.

"Thor... we must be calm for Nia." I warned as I tried to slow down my breathing and clear my thoughts.

Surprisingly, Thor growled in agreement, "We need her, please..."

I furrowed my brow at Thor's plea. He's never acted so caring before. Maybe the mate bond is changing him, for the better.

I carefully walked over to where I last saw Nia. I had a moment of fear as I looked all around where she had been and couldn't find her anywhere. Fuck. Why won't she just open her mind to me?! I hear a sniffle, a few trees back. I carefully moved a few branches out of the way and there on the ground, knees pulled into her chest was the most beautiful woman this world has ever seen. My heart broke as I watched the tears fall down her cheeks. I could sense how little energy she had. She was broken. I felt a wave of rage flow through me. I wanted that bastard rouge torn apart limb by limb. How dare he hurt her. I tried to calm myself. She didn't need me like this right now. She needed me to help put her back together. I took a few deep breaths before inching closer to her. I tried to reach out to her mind.

"My beautiful sweet Nia, I promise I will do everything in my power to make you feel better, Please sweetheart, just stop those tears."
