I thought this described Adaliah and Emrys, what do you think?

I truly love rambling. So, to whoever survives this chapter, I'm highly impressed and I shall reward you at the end of it with some cookies 🍪!

First, I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to read this story. Thank you for sticking till the end and for reading every chapter. Thank you for every comment and every vote...I know I always say this but it really means a lot to me. ❤️

I don't always put my ideas in words (and trust me, my ADHD brain never frigging shuts up but I'm just too lazy – a pro procrastinator so I never write lol) so for them to be acknowledged and appreciated, it feels damn good.

I would like to say that I'm proud of everyone for writing and for finishing their entries regardless of whether they got qualified or not. I also want to thank the judges for their awesome work. I remember my days as an engagement amb and gosh, I'm sure they're super tired and doing their best. Fighting!

This chapter will get updated whenever I remember something to add, whoops.

With that being said, LET'S GET THIS LAME PARTY STARTED!

0. This is my first time writing from a man's pov. In Rieka, Ashelia didn't have a love interest, at least not yet. (Gosh, I can't wait to introduce him. It'll take forever tho 'cause ain't gonna write shiz, hehe.) Drakaina does but I didn't focus on it yet; Alyviah is still going through an existential crisis but Thaddeus is a sweet unpolished gem. The Whisperer Of The Dead did have a little spark between Aradia and Callan but wasn't explored yet for they had a more pressing matter to solve like chasing a biatch – aka Morana. In short, this is my first romance-fantasy-themed entry. Though, it wasn't very romantic T^T

1. I spend more time searching for chapter titles (and the pictures/aesthetics I put at the end of each one) than actually writing them.

2. Sometimes I write the whole chapter and I get this feeling that something is missing. So, I search for the title and that word ends up helping me polish, flesh out, and wrap up the chapter a lot better than when I started.

3. Aesthetics and titles inspire the events to the point where I can say that they guide me throughout the story. My ADHD brain can never settle down and map out anything. Me? Plan my stories? Pfffft, nevaaaa evaaaa lol.

4. My previous ONC entries (the fantasy ones) helped me a lot to figure out some stuff for The Dark Side Of The Moon.

5. I never considered writing a story about another goddess of the Moon. Accalia was supposed to be the only one. But then, in Rieka, I wrote that she had a sister. I had to give her an interesting role.

6. Originally, when I was writing Rieka, Accalia's sister (who I later named Adaliah) was supposed to be an evil biatch. Buuuuut, yeah, didn't turn out that way fully. Since, if you've read this story, you'd know the shiz she did and the mess she caused (though I didn't expand much on it). But, I'd say that Adaliah is a bit darker than Accalia in her approach to life. More of an anti-hero.

7. To be honest, I had no idea how Emrys died until he had that flashback. Eeep, I was as shocked as well, lmao. The flashback came outta nowhere.

8. I nearly burst into tears when I tied Emrys' death to Veles and Morana. I thought me a genius, lol. Well, that's what jumping in without planning shiz does to you.

9. After writing Rieka, I thought, if Lycans had a goddess, why don't I give the vampires one too? I mean both were creatures of the night, vampires more so than werewolves, that's how this story came to life. I thought: if vampires didn't like the sun and actually had no problem with the moon, why not tie them to it then? After all, the dark side of the moon doesn't get any sunlight and it isn't associated with lycans. Plus, I always thought of vamps and weres as different sides of the same coin anyway, hehe.

10. Adaliah has an affinity for water magic. Well, it's mostly because the moon is responsible for the ocean tides. That's why, I settled with Adaliah as the FMC's name since it means "one that draws water, poverty, cloud, death." And, if you read Rieka, you'd know that Ashelia (SPOILER) has an affinity for fire because...I won't tell you. *evil laugh* (read it, you lil biscuits) Anyway, in conclusion, the bright side of the moon is associated with fire while its dark side is associated with water.

11. I love eye contact (not in real life, though. Heavens, I'd die.), forests, the moon, and describing all that shiz. It shows and I hope it didn't suffocate you throughout your journey, bahahaha.

12. I'm a big fan of visualization and so I try to describe things as if I'm seeing them in real life. I try to leave some things to the imagination but I lose myself at times and apparently, I end up leaving nothing that I haven't described, lol.

13. I pay a lot of attention to details. I can't help it. However, I don't put a lot of effort into detailing people's appearances. I haven't described much of any of my previous characters. Yet, this is the first time I found myself focusing a little more on Adaliah's appearance since it's mostly Emrys being infatuated by her numinous, ethereal beauty. And a lil bit on Emrys' since it's also Adaliah's first time being with a man and they're both super attracted to each other.

14. The attraction between Adaliah and Emrys stems from a bond that was created between them after she brought him back to life. In a way, she created her own soulmate. But, also, Adaliah is freaking gorgeous; I'd simp for her. She's a goddess too. *screams*

15. The night Emrys awoke in the cave, there was an owl (four-winged but whatever) and bats that were to reference owls being associated with the moon and bats with vampires and darkness.

16. The owl in the cave was also a nod to Efû, the gryphon traveling with and guarding Ashelia on her journey.

17. Efû may or may not have been connected to Adaliah as well. Haven't built a background for this, but I'm thinking of it. *pause* HMMMMMMM, I just had an idea that I might write about in the next ONC... *evil laugh*

18. I don't believe in 'fillers', anything I write has a purpose to the story! So, even if a chapter seems like a filler, it really isn't. The details are what counts and I hope I'm doing that justice! After all, Fantasy needs a lot of worldbuilding and I'm afraid I haven't expanded on that much. Well, just scattered info through three or four stories, lol.

19. Most of the time when I'm writing something, I have the idea of the main character and the ending then bit by bit the beginning builds itself and slowly to the middle of the story until we reach the ending! It helps keep me on track but it is also very hard to maintain throughout the story because you have to keep going back to make sure you don't change or miss any detail. This time, however, I didn't know shiz so it didn't flow as easily as the previous ones. I literally put a goddess and a mortal together. He dies, she brings him back to life, he's a vampire, and then they fall in love. I'd say the prompts I picked for the story are what helped weave the plot.

20. I'm tinkering with the gods and goddesses that already exist in myths to come up with my own. So, I'm creating my own Dreams' Cinematic Universe. DCU. Oh, shiz, DC will come after me.

21. I'm posting excerpts (1st chappies) from my previous ONC fantasy entries after this. Feel free to check them, and if any catch your attention, I hope you enjoy reading them! :)

I realize I'm rambling nonsense by now, I apologize! 😂 However, I hope this helps give a lil insight into what happened backstage!

That is enough for now I guess, omg. I hope I didn't bore you to death but well...you made it this far so here are your cookies!
