She tried with all her might to move her legs and be useful for once. She screamed in frustration, tears of anguish and pain welling up and over, spilling onto her cheeks. An evil, maniacal laugh bounced around in her brain, taunting her.

Why can't you get up? You want to save him don't you? To be the hero? To right what you did, to start down a new path, turn over a new leaf? You want to be useful don't you?

The only use you'll ever be, is as a cooling corpse. You can't do anything. You're useless. Weak. Broken. And all you can do is watch as this innocent, unwilling kid murders your best friend as he screams inside his mind to be let free, to stop the killings. To let him have control back. And you can't help either of them because you are useless and a waste of space.

The girl gasped, trying to grasp at any strands of oxygen she could inhale. Her breaths came too fast, too erratic for her body to properly use the air. She was hyperventilating. That's when she realized that Renjun, her best friend and surrogate brother, couldn't hear her. Couldn't see her. He was looking straight through her, begging for her to come and save him.

He seemed to realize that she wasn't coming, becoming frantic and desperate as he screamed her name. Even if she was to just show up, just say a few reassuring words to him, he would be relatively okay with dying, but he was alone, his former friend, brother, holding a knife slick with the blood of three of his friends, his brothers, up to his neck. He wanted his best friend. He wanted his sister.

She made herself watch as Jisung slit Renjun's throat, adding to the red. It was her fault. She did this to him. To all of them. She could vaguely hear crying and yelling from the other members of the group as they watched their youngest members' throats cut open. She killed Renjun, Chenle, Jeno, and Haechan. She permanently traumatized the rest of the group. And she couldn't do anything to stop it.

She was useless.

(A/N) This one's kinda short, sorry about that, but I'm  back and I'll probably upload a couple more chapters today to make up for the past three days that I was without power and wifi, so look forward to that!
