          Virgil's POV

I was lying on the couch with Roman. He had just begged to listen to some of my music with me, so naturally, I let him. I started out with "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out," because let's be real, that's one of their best albums.

The third track rolled around. Ah, this is heaven. Absolute heaven. Best boyfriend, best couch, best music, what more could I possibly ask for? I leaned into his touch a little more. "Comfy?" He asked with a chuckle. "Very." I said. I waited for the dreaded moment that was track seven. It wasn't that I hated it, quite the opposite, actually. It's just that some, really all, are a bit...suggestive. I don't think he'll mind, though. I even warned him about it.

I heard the fourth track play. I subconsciously lip synced all the lyrics. I always end up doing it. It's the oddest thing. Heh, I guess you could say it's..............................................pretty odd. I'm turning into Patton, aren't I?

Roman started running his fingers through my hair. The fifth track rolled around. 'The IV and your hospital, this was no accident, this was therapeutic chain of events...' It was around the sixth track I started to fall asleep. It was also around this time that the seventh track to roll around.

I felt my face flush with red. I thanked god for, not Esteban, but for the fact that I was wearing my foundation. "Wow, Anx. I never expected this from you." He said with a chuckle. "I-I warned you!" I exclaimed. "I'm not complaining. This is amazing.." He muttered.

"I knew you'd like it..." I mumbled, lying back down next to him. God, everything right now is perfect...something is definitely gonna go wrong.

          Roman's POV

"So you're saying, if you can learn the lyrics to all the songs in A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, IN A WEEK, I have to go pastel and give up emo music for a week?" He asked. "Of course. I want to do this so I can have something else to do with you, but mostly because I want to see you in something other than black." I said. He lightly punched my arm. "Rude." I exclaimed.

He rushed back to his room, leaving his earbuds on the table. Oh well, he'll pick these up when he comes back out. I left the Commons and headed off to Logan's room. I haven't heard much from him. I knocked lightly on his door. "Come in." He said, almost completely muffled through the door.

He was sitting at his desk, three papers in his hands. Why am I not surprised? I closed the door tightly behind me. "Greetings, Roman. What do you need?" He asked. "Oh, I was wondering if you wanted to maybe do puzzle or something with me? You've been bombarding yourself with work, lately." I said.

"I'd love to, in just a bit, though..." He muttered. He seemed distracted, as if something was bothering him. "Are you okay?" I asked. "Oh, yes. I just...I don't understand! These are the exact photos Thomas showed us a while ago! I don't understand how the characters just disappear and appear in the mindscape!" He rambled. "Speaking of which, has anyone spotted any other traits?"

"Patton thought he saw one, that's all I've heard, though." I mumbled. "Okay, that is...not what I had expected, but it is better." He said, pushing the papers to side of his desk. "Well, let's go get that puzzle started, shall we?"

Logan and I were both long done with the puzzle, in fact it was past one in the morning. I was currently listening to the album that Virgil had shown me. I already had one of the songs memorized, and was almost done with the second.

As soon as I knew it, I was done. Every song had been memorized. And it was only six in the morning. "This means Virge is probably awake..." I muttered to myself. I exited my room and went over to his.

"Don't trust a thing that royal narcissistic brat of yours has to say, okay?" The sounds were muffled and definitely hard to make out, but I had caught what they were saying.

I brushed it off and assumed that he had been watching a movie. I knocked lightly, wondering if he had been sleeping. I heard small footsteps and the door began to slowly open.

"R-Roman...? What on earth are you doing up at this hour?" He asked. "Couldn't sleep, so I took the time to memorize the whole album." I said with a smirk. He was silent. "D...Do you have prove...?" He asked. "Oh you better believe I do." I said with a smirk. I began to sing a line from each song, sometimes even more than that.

"...I didn't expect you to win, that's why I made the bet..." He mumbled. "Once again, rude." I said. "Look, can we just go to bed now? God knows you're exhausted..." He muttered. "Alright, Virge." I mumbled. He opened the door wider and let me inside. He shut it not long afterwards.

I sat down on his bed. God, I think this is...ten blankets? Doesn't he use like only two of them? I didn't even bother, my boyfriend is a mysterious thing that scientists can't explain...

He sat down next to me. "Happy?" He asked in a sarcastic tone. "Yep." I said, wrapping an arm around his shoulder. I lightly pecked him on the cheek. "Happy?" I mocked. "Shut the heck up." He grumbled.

I lightly pecked him on the top of his head. I felt him snuggle close to me. "Cold, kitten?" I asked softly. He nodded. I lightly started stroking the top of his head.

bOOOOOOOOOOOm

There was a loud boom of thunder, followed by a flash of lightning. He let out a small whimper before wrapping his arms around me. He gripped onto me for dear life. "Hey, hey, it's okay. It's just noise, it won't hurt you, not as long as you're in my arms." I said softly.

He buried his face deeper into my chest. "I know that you're scared, princess." I mumbled. "It'll be okay..." There was another crack of thunder, followed by more lightning. "Shh, shh, it's okay. It'll be fine, love." I mumbled softly. "It won't hurt you..."

I then noticed how badly he was crying, shaking violently and his breathing rigid and short. Oh dear god, he's having a panic attack! I shushed him more, trying to comfort him as best I could during this. "It'll be okay, I promise." I mumbled. He wasn't shaking as violently, and his breathing wasn't as short or shaky anymore. I lightly pecked him on the top of his head. I tried doing the breathing exercise with him, and it seemed to help a little. Not as much as I would've hoped, but it still helped.

The storm had almost passed at this point. Everything was better. He was still clinging to me like his life depended on it, but I didnt mind. Quite the opposite, actually. The storm had completely passed, and there was only a light, comforting sprinkle. I noticed that he wasn't shaking anymore. He wasn't crying. He wasn't panicked anymore. I sighed before looking down at him.

There he is, sleeping peacefully. I lightly pecked the top of his head and slowly began to drift off into a peaceful slumber...
